Amendiel steps out of his command chamber.
The sky outside has darkened with stormy grey clouds as though it's about to rain.
Amendiel's long, heavy strides are filled with purpose and urgency. He ignores the bows from the people he walks past, and seeing their King's dark mood, they all clear from his path.
How can one half-blood make him feel so restless?
That word is too mild to describe the torment he feels. Ignavar is right - he needs to purge this madness from his blood and get rid of it entirely.
It's not as though he hasn't tried to ease this unbearable desire, but his body recoils with disgust each time he attempts to touch another woman. Both his mind and body only crave that half-blood. It feels like he's been cursed to find all others revolting. Maybe the bond is truly destroying him from within.
Having a weakness, especially for his enemy, is an abomination.
