Chapter 1 - Prologue

Was I kidnapped by someone? No, my security would have stopped them. I was kind enough for them to like me.

If they did get past them, they still had to go through the biometric locks around my house and bedroom. This was bad. Were they going to kill me?

My mind was in chaos as my heart began to pound out of my chest. I was scared. Was this the day I was going to die? If there's even a chance, I should negotiate with my kidnappers. I can give them everything I'm worth if I can just leave alive.

"Ren, my dear sweet baby." I guess one of the kidnappers is called Ren.

I struggle slowly against the pain in my eyes and faced the red-haired woman whose hands I was resting in. Shit, I'm baby, at least I should be. My heart calmed. At least I was still alive.

"Ren Uzumaki." A tall red-haired man places his hand on my cheek.

Red hair, red hair, red hair... all the people around me had red hair, and that last name Uzumaki could there by a chance, even a small one, I was reborn in Naruto?

If so, then this was both good and bad. Good because here, in this world, I could achieve my dream that had escaped me all my life. All my money and power could not escape death.

Another good thing because I actually know this world pretty well. During my younger years, before my fear of death had grown, I loved anime and manga, especially Naruto.

Bad because with the door of immortality finally in front of me, the path I would have to walk was one of blood and danger. I could very well die, but if I didn't pursue it, I would die either way. So yes, I would pursue my dream at any cost. The result is either death or eternity, no in-between.

< 1 month later >

A month has passed since my rebirth, and I've managed to gain some information. I was currently in the era of Hashirama, right about the time Tsunade was born from my parents, Mino and Miro Uzumaki, talking about the Hokage's first grandchild.

A few of the Uzumaki clan members were also sent to help the Senju during the early stages of establishing the village. I would probably become a ninja here, which saved me the trouble of joining the village later on.

My other discoveries include the Uzumaki's incredible genetics. I worked out every day for most of my life, yet I had never felt this healthy and full of life.

Along with this discovery, I had spent every single day trying to find a way to check my own chakra, and on the 28th day, I finally succeeded.

I was more than 50% sure that I had a very large chakra pool. 50% because I didn't have anything to compare it to, but I know Uzumaki are born with large amounts of chakra, so the odds are on my side but you never know.

I should probably attempt to find a way to sense chakra. I am still a baby, so I have literally all the time in the world.

< 8 months later >

I finally did it. I can now accurately sense the chakra around me. The times I had gone outside proved my earlier suspicions.

The Uzumaki chakra pools were even larger than I had originally thought. On average, a normal Uzumaki in Konoha usually had about ten times the chakra of a ninja of the same rank, at least the ones in Konoha. But yes, my chakra pool was very large.

The only clan that stacked next to them in chakra was the Senju, at about five times as much as a normal ninja. I was able to compare this because we stayed in the Senju residence inside of Konoha.

Interestingly, my chakra would rise by small bits the more tasks I performed. These tasks were, of course, not simple tasks but rather tasks above my physical limitations like, say, doing a push-up or trying to stick my feet to a wall.

I didn't like doing actual exercises because I was scared I might end up crippled. Even with this amazing body, the earliest I can start training physically is four years old to avoid any future side effects.

< 3 years 2 months later >

I was standing upside down on my bedroom ceiling, reading about Fuinjutsu.

Maybe it was because I was an Uzumaki, but I saw a lot of potential in Fuinjutsu, which are sealing arts. If you could seal a ninja's chakrawith some exceptions you're basically fighting a normal person.

Imagine how easy it would be fighting Itachi if he can't use any jutsu. He's just a semi-blind, sick man. And thanks to the Hyuga clan, I know it's possible to use Fuinjutsu to control your subordinates.

Unfortunately, the secret behind the seal is extremely secret. It will take time to learn, but it wil—

"AAHHHHH." A loud, piercing scream from Mino shook me out of my plans. "Ren!" she calls out.

Well, this is a year off schedule... I originally planned to show Mino and Miro that I could walk on walls when I was five. I would walk half the distance of the wall then fall, but they would still be impressed, and this would lead to them thinking their son is a prodigy.

They would start teaching me about chakra and some secrets of the Uzumaki clan.

That was the plan, but it just tossed itself out the window. Though it was mostly my fault, when I made the mistake of not paying attention to my surroundings. That could have gotten me killed if this was a battlefield.

"Ren... dear." She calls out, her voice shaky slightly. "How did you get up there?" she asks with concern.

"Simple, mummy." I reply by walking down from the ceiling to the floor until I'm right next to her. "I just used the blue stuff and made it go to my feet."

She raises a brow. "Blue stuff?" she asks, though she has a sneaking suspicion over what he means.

"Yes, I have it, Dad has it, you have it, the other Uzumaki have it." I reply to her. "I call it blue stuff because it looks blue."

She nods, a bit confused. I wonder if I'm giving too much information, but this woman's an experienced ninja—I can't lie to her.

"Looks?" she asks in a motherly tone.

"Yes." I reply in one word.

She pauses for a moment, just looking. It seems like several thoughts were going through her mind. This was not the doting mother I grew up around. Right now, she was a ninja trying to analyse the situation.

"Ren..." she says, kneeling. "You're a little genius." She adds, ruffling up my hair.

"Come sit down. Let me tell you about something called chakra..."

Long story short, she explained that chakra is the resulting form of energy when two other forms of energy are mixed together. The two energies are referred to as "physical energy" and "spiritual energy." Physical energy is collected from the body's cells and can be increased through training, stimulants, and exercise. Spiritual energy is derived from the mind's consciousness (i.e. the soul) and can be increased through studying, meditation, and experience.

Another long story short, she praised me for being a prodigy for being able to walk on walls and sense something that takes years and years for others to learn.

I suppose anything would seem like genius when you still believe that your son is just a child, not a reincarnator who spent years figuring it out.

"So do I get to learn Fuinjutsu?" I asked curiously.

"Fuinjutsu?" she says curiously. "Did you hear that from some of the other ninjas?"

I nodded excitedly.

"Seals are complicated." She replied flatly.

"Please, mom." I said, flashing puppy dog eyes.

"Alright, I'll teach you the theory for now. When you go to the Ninja Academy, I'll teach you actual seals. Deal?" she said with her pinkie finger out.

"Deal." I replied.
