From that point on, Claire's life changed forever.
Jourdan hired Claire's first apprentice, the most prominent scholar in the capital, a legendary young scholar who even outshone his own teacher—Camille. A handsome young man with lustrous blond hair and soft blue eyes, he said, "Claire, he will be your teacher from now on. He will teach you literature, geography, and so on every morning." Jordan personally led Camille into the study and, after introducing him to Claire, turned to Camille, "Camille, I'm sorry to bother you from now on."
"There's no need to be so serious, sir. It's not worth it." Camille smiled warmly and nodded to Claire, "Greetings, Madam Claire."
Claire stood for a while, then said, smiling, "Master, please enlighten me."
"Feel free to call the host if you need anything. I still have some work to do," Jordan laughed.
"Whatever pleases you, Your Honor." Camille smiled warmly, gentle and graceful.
Claire bowed as she watched Jordan leave.
Only the two of them remained in the spacious study. Camille looked anxiously at the young girl before him: she was wearing a plain white dress with a simple lace trim, her beautiful golden hair tied in a simple bun without any decorative accessories, but a deep, cold gaze within her green irises, as cold as the night sky. Was this pure girl the infamous fool who stalked the males of the capital?
"Please sit, Master." Claire smiled.
Camille was slightly surprised by Claire's indifferent smile. The girl was different from what he had heard. Rumor had it that she was very attracted to the opposite sex (males), so Camille had come after much preparation and thought. If it weren't for giving face to Duke Jourdain, he certainly wouldn't have taken on this task. But this girl in front of him looked... how can I explain it... although she was smiling, it was completely fake, giving off a very cold feeling.
Camille ignored his confusion, calmed his expression, and smiled professionally. He took out a book he had brought with him. "So, Miss Claire, let's begin learning today..."
"Sir, I would like to ask you about this matter." Claire didn't look at the book in Camille's hand, but instead held it up in her own. Camille glanced over, a little surprised. It was a history of Ambarkland.
The morning passed peacefully without any imagined disturbance, but amid Claire's endless questions, Camille was amazed. The young girl seemed like a sponge, absorbing every bit of information. All her questions were straightforward, and some were so complex that even Mr. Landis wouldn't know the answers.
