Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: The Academy That Forgot Itself

---

🌩️ Scene 1 – The Ripple Begins

The moment Kael stepped out of the vault, names vanished.

Above the academy, the Sky Glyph — the divine sigil that contained every student's registration, house, bloodline, and fate…

it flickered.

Then, it burned.

> SYSTEM OVERRIDE: Unwritten Identity Detected

ERROR 3114: Memory Discontinuity

Students across Aegis dropped to their knees, clutching their heads.

> "Wh-What's happening to me?" a boy cried.

> "My house… my bloodline… I—I can't remember my own father's name!"

Professors screamed in panic as entire rosters wiped blank mid-lecture.

The Spell Archive glitched.

The Headmaster's Seal unraveled.

---

🧠 Scene 2 – Kael's Mind Expands

Kael walked through the chaos like smoke.

Around him, the world glitched.

Books flipped open and went blank.

Statues turned to dust.

He could see now — not just the surface of the world, but its code.

> "This world… is made of lies stitched together by belief."

He lifted his hand. His fingers sparked with ink-flame.

He reached out to a hovering academy crest.

It shivered — and then rewrote itself.

From "Aegis Academy"

To "Ash Reformatory."

> "That's what you really were," Kael whispered. "A prison of memory, disguised as glory."

---

⚔️ Scene 3 – The First Rewrite Spell

Kael closed his eyes.

He remembered the throne room of God Ilarion, the so-called Keeper of Knowledge.

And then, using nothing but his will, he wrote in the air:

> Unwrite: Ilarion.

Across the continent, the Cathedral of Mind imploded.

Clerics collapsed.

Scrolls turned to ash.

The god's sigil blinked —

and then vanished.

> 📣 SYSTEM NOTICE: 1 Divine Throne Erased.

Current Deity Map: Fractured.

🏫 Scene 4 – Academy's Collapse

Cassia stumbled as the world spun around her.

The tower behind them turned from ivory to obsidian.

Flames licked across every plaque, every door, every memory that tried to persist.

Students began screaming,

"Who am I?!"

"What's my name?!"

"I remember… nothing—"

Kael turned to them, his voice calm but unignorable.

> "Now you know how it feels."

> "To be erased. To be forgotten.

And yet… to keep walking."

Cassia fell to her knees again.

> "Kael… what are you becoming?"

> "Not a god," he replied. "Just the truth you buried."

---

🩸 Scene 5 – Arrival of the White-Eyed Girl

And then—

From the breach in the sky,

a girl fell.

Dressed in silver.

Eyes completely white.

A Divine Recorder.

One of the last tools the gods had to preserve reality.

She landed before Kael.

> "You've broken the Law of Names."

> "Good," Kael said. "I'm not here to follow laws.

I'm here to erase the ones who made them."

She raised her hand —

A spear of pure light formed.

She threw it.

Kael didn't dodge.

The spear pierced him —

but no blood spilled.

> The light withered.

His body was no longer mortal.

No longer divine.

> It was a rewrite.

And she screamed:

> "You're not a man.

You're not a god.

You're a correction!"

---

🔥 Scene 6 – The Rewrite Spreads

Kael whispered one word:

> "Forget."

And the Divine Recorder's body collapsed into ink, scattering into runes that drifted into the wind.

Everyone across the campus looked up.

Kael stood at the top of the central spire now —

not walking…

but rewriting air.

Every word he spoke became a law.

Every name he remembered became truth.

Every truth burned through divine forgery like acid.
