"~Seems like she's trying to avoid the subject by using another subject she was trying to avoid, looks like we can't keep pushing her and I really want to find out why she changed rooms.~ So why did you change rooms ?"
"Well...I had dinner with my bestie yesterday and I told her that you were uncomfortable with me and then she said that you probably need some space so I gave you some."
Tina replied, trying to sound casual but glancing at Andrew to gauge his reaction.
"Right… but really, why can't we go to the amusement park?"
Andrew asked casually, leaning on the counter. His voice sounded light, but his sharp eyes were all business. Tina blinked, tilting her head in that innocent way that always made Andrew groan internally.
"I… uh… I told you, I'm not feeling well. Cough, cold… stuff."
Andrew raised a skeptical brow.
"Uh-huh. That's one way to avoid going out."
Tina froze, just a fraction, but quickly recovered, clasping her hands together.
"What do you mean? Avoid going out? I… I'm not."
Andrew narrowed his eyes, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Hmm…"
He leaned just a little closer, voice casual.
Her ice-blue eyes widened ever so slightly, a flicker of hesitation that only he noticed.
"I… it's complicated."
"~Bingo.~"
Andrew's smirk widened.
"Complicated, huh? Interesting. Care to elaborate?"
Tina fidgeted, hugging herself, the hoodie sleeves swallowing her hands.
"Maybe… maybe another time. Today's about fun at home, remember?"
Andrew raised his hands in mock surrender, though his mind raced.
"~ Complicated...that' exactly the kind of secret I want.~"
By midmorning, they had moved to the pool side. Neko Neko perched like a tiny judge on the couch. Elijah was setting up a casual chaos challenge', little obstacle courses for the them. Andrew tried to focus, but a sharp pain shot through his lower abdomen. He clenched his jaw, trying to hide the sudden grimace.
"Andrew? You okay?"
Tina asked, pausing mid laugh as she spotted the brief contortion.
"Mm… yeah, fine."
He muttered, though his hands rubbed the tender spot. Minutes later, the pain intensified. Andrew grumbled under his breath, dragging himself to the sofa and collapsing dramatically.
"Andrew...are you sure you're okay ?"
Tina asked, a worried look already on her face as she flopped onto the opposite side of the couch.
"I... I am…"
Andrew hissed through clenched teeth.
"I'm… fine. Totally fine…"
Neko Neko squeaked in agreement or judgment it was hard to tell, hopping onto Andrew's lap like a tiny fluffy accuser. Andrew flinched, claws lightly tapping him. Tina asked again.
"You don't look fine ?"
Andrew groaned.
"Stop… I said I am."
As the morning melted into afternoon, Andrew tried to probe Tina for her secret while simultaneously dealing with the growing discomfort.
"So… indoor fun."
He said, picking up one of the mini obstacles.
"You're really serious about this being fun at home?"
"Absolutely! No crowds, no fun outside… just fun inside. And me, obviously."
Tina smirked, flicking her hair. Andrew leaned closer under the guise of inspecting the obstacle course, eyes sharp.
"Hmm… really? No one else? No friends? No… anyone watching?"
Tina stiffened slightly, just enough for him to catch it.
"Nope. Just me, Neko Neko, and you. Safe, cozy… fun."
"~ Bingo again.~"
Andrew's mind raced.
"~ She doesn't like going outside. That's why the amusement park...that's why she keeps avoiding the topic,huh...mental disorder ?anxiety ? Hmm...interesting... ~"
He scribbled little notes in his head as Tina bounced around getting ready for the next challenge, Neko Neko squeaking indignantly each time she leaned too close to Andrew. The extremely large pool gleamed under the sunlight, water rippling gently as Tina and Andrew leaned over the edge, placing their miniature boats into the water for the next round of Elijah's obstacle course. Neko Neko sat perched on the nearby lounge chair, squeaking intermittently, judging their every move. Andrew winced, clutching his lower abdomen subtly as he positioned his boat. Tina's ice-blue eyes flicked toward him, immediately noting the slight tension in his posture, the faint grimace he tried to hide behind a teasing smirk.
"Hmm… that doesn't look like normal concentration."
Tina murmured softly, tilting her head. She crouched beside him, her oversized sleeves brushing against his arm.
"Andrew… you sure you're just… fine?"
Andrew's smirk faltered slightly, though he tried to cover it.
"Of course. Totally fine. Totally fine. Just… giving my boat extra dramatic flair. Yes, that's it."
Tina raised an eyebrow, unconvinced. Her alpha intuition usually reserved for reading people's moods, intentions, or tiny chaos signals was picking up on something more subtle. His hand kept brushing over his abdomen, his body leaning slightly to one side, almost like he was bracing against a phantom wave.
"Mm-hmm."
She muttered, her voice gentle but teasing.
"Extra dramatic flair, huh? Are you sure this isn't… period drama flair?"
Andrew froze mid motion, tiny plastic oar hovering over the boat. He blinked at her, trying to maintain his usual sassy composure.
"Period… drama flair?"
He repeated, voice slightly tight. Tina's eyes softened, a knowing gleam in them.
"Yeah… you know, cramping, groaning, dramatic collapse onto the couch, maybe some more groaning at minor discomfort?"
She leaned slightly closer, hands hovering near him, not intrusive, just… attentive.
"Hmm… could it be… Mr. Sassy is having some… pain?"
Andrew flushed, a mix of embarrassment and pain twisting across his expression.
"I… I… it's nothing, really. Totally fine! Totally. Fine."
He pressed a hand to his abdomen again, wincing despite his words. Tina tilted her head, tapping her chin thoughtfully.
"Nothing… or period?"
Her tone was playful, yet her eyes held genuine concern. She leaned slightly, tilting her head so her icy gaze met his, probing gently.
"I…It's none of your business!"
He snapped suddenly, though it came out more breathless than angry. He tried to regain his usual sassy tone, but a small grimace betrayed him again. Tina's lips twitched into a small, amused smile.
"Ah… I see. Denial. Classic move. Still… you don't have to hide it from me. I just… want to make sure my omega doesn't suffer alone."
Andrew groaned dramatically, rolling his eyes, though he allowed a small shiver of relief to pass through him at her words.
"Fine. Maybe… slightly… cramps. But...how did you know ?"
Tina shook her head gently.
"Miyu,my best friend that I had dinner with yesterday, well she usually has a lot of cramps like this so I always help her."
"Right...so she's an omega...Anyways you don't have to help me,I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself."
"No way."
Neko Neko squeaked in the background, hopping from the lounge chair to the edge of the pool, tiny claws tapping like a mini metronome. Tina laughed softly.
"See? Even Neko Neko thinks you need care. You can't argue with tiny judgmental koalas."
Andrew groaned, but this time it was more of a low, reluctant sigh than his usual sass. He glanced at her, eyes softening for the briefest moment.
"I… guess… maybe I'm… grateful for your alpha chaos care… even if it's embarrassing."
Tina's grin widened, though her movements remained gentle.
"Good. We can also have fun inside instead of pool fun because indoor chaos fun is only fun if everyone survives… cramps, drama, and all."
She nudged his shoulder lightly with her elbow, careful not to press too hard. Andrew flopped slightly in the poolside lounge, tugging his thermal sleeves over his hands.
"Mm… okay. But don't think I'm letting this moment ruin my sassy reputation. Mr. Sassy stays sassy… just slightly soothed."
Tina laughed, shaking her head, warmth radiating from her.
"Deal. Slightly soothed sassy cutie. But I'm still keeping an eye on you."
Andrew slumped further into the couch, blanket wrapped like a fortress, tiny whimpers escaping every so often. Tina crouched beside him, tugging the blanket gently aside to place a hot pack a little closer to his abdomen.
"Mm… warm and cozy. Just what a slightly cranky omega needs."
Andrew groaned loudly, flopping onto his side with a thump.
"Slightly cranky? Ughh, Tina… this isn't even the tiniest bit cranky! And… you're not helping!"
"I am helping!"
She protested softly.
"Alpha chaos care includes hot pack, soft blanket, judgmental koala supervision… perfect combo."
Andrew let out a dramatic sigh, throwing one arm over his face.
"Ughh… nooo… too much… just… leave me… alone!"
Tina tilted her head, eyes softening.
"Leave you alone? But Mr. Sassy doesn't have to be alone in… pain. I can… maybe… help?"
Andrew lifted one eye from behind the blanket, glaring halfheartedly.
"Umm… no! Don't… help… I've… got this… under control!"
She raised an eyebrow, lowering her voice to near-whisper.
"Under control… or pretending… Mr. Sassy is pretending to survive alone?"
He groaned so loudly the blanket shook.
"Mm… pretending, of course I am,my tummy aches like crazy... but still… perfectly… under control… jeez, Tina, stop!"
Tina laughed softly, placing a hand gently on his shoulder.
"I'm not stopping… but I'm not teasing either. Just… care. Alpha care. Okay?"
Andrew curled into the pillow, trying to hide the faint blush creeping across his cheeks.
"Mm… fine… but… no… hovering, no… hovering!"
Tina's ice-blue eyes softened further.
"No hovering… just… nearby. And if you need me, you know where to find me."
She smoothed the blanket over his shoulders, careful not to press on him. Andrew muttered something unintelligible, one hand pressed over his lower abdomen. Then he groaned again, very loudly this time, shifting a little on the couch.
"Ughhh… stop… looking at me like that…"
Tina tilted her head, lips twitching.
"Looking at you like what?"
"Like… like… I'm fragile or… needy… or… whatever…"
He mumbled, voice muffled in the blanket.
"Fragile?"
Tina teased gently, though her eyes held nothing but concern.
"Nooo… just… slightly in need of chaos care. That's all. Even Mr. Sassy can accept a little help sometimes."
Andrew squirmed, groaning, and tugged the blanket higher.
"Mm… maybe… slightly… I don't… need help! But… maybe… okay… a teeny tiny bit… but only because…"
He trailed off, hiding his flushed face in the pillow. Tina leaned closer, placing the smallest of gentle kisses on his temple, careful not to startle him but Andrew was still startled.
"~OH MY GOD!!Is she crazy?~"
"Because what?"
She asked softly, voice just above a whisper. Andrew didn't answer, just let out a long, defeated groan. Tina tilted her head, smiling softly, and whispered.
"Okay… that's fine. Slightly cranky, slightly sassy, slightly accepting alpha chaos care… perfect combination."
Neko Neko squeaked from the floor, hopping onto Andrew's lap, claws tapping lightly like a tiny metronome. Andrew flinched, letting out a half-whine, half-grumble.
"Ughhh… even… the koala… is… judging me…"
Tina chuckled, brushing a strand of hair from his forehead.
"Judging? Nooo… just… making sure my cranky cutie survives the day."
Andrew finally exhaled, flopping back against the cushions, muttering under his breath.
"Mm… maybe… grateful… but don't… get used to it…"
Tina's grin widened, warmth radiating from her.
"Deal. Slightly soothed, slightly cranky… but still sassy. I'll keep an eye on you."
Andrew groaned again, but this time, the corners of his mouth twitched in the tiniest smirk. A silent admission that Tina's alpha chaos care was working… even if he'd never admit it aloud.
