Chapter 33 - My Dream : Unifying the Ninja World

On a rooftop some distance from the meeting room.

Mei Terumī stood at the edge of the rooftop, looking in the direction of the distant meeting room, and spoke softly:

"How are things inside?"

"Although Bubble's emotions are a bit unstable, his Chakra is very calm, so Tailed Beast transformation shouldn't occur."

Ao stared in the direction of the meeting room with his Byakugan wide open. After a while, he respectfully spoke.

Mei Terumī nodded. What she said wasn't false, but there was one thing she didn't say.

If Bubble still wanted to escape the Mist Ninja Village after seeing that scroll, then there would only be one outcome—replace him with a new Six-Tailed Jinchuriki!

And the fate of a Jinchuriki who loses their Tailed Beast is naturally death.

If this matter had happened before, Mei Terumī wouldn't even have thought about doing such a thing, let alone actually doing it. Matters concerning a Tailed Beast could lead to many deaths.

But now that Lord Yūto is here, even if it's not just one Tailed Beast, but both the Six-Tails Saiken and Three-Tails Isobu having problems simultaneously, they wouldn't be able to cause any trouble for Lord Yūto.

"Is it dangerous to cancel the isolation of the Six-Tailed Jinchuriki and allow him to move freely within the Village?"

Chōjūrō asked softly, with a worried expression on his face.

"There might be danger, but I imagine Lord Yūto and Lord Mizukage have already thought of a solution."

Ao replaced the black eye patch over his Byakugan, turned his head, and chuckled softly at Chōjūrō.

Mei Terumī continued to look in the direction of the meeting room without speaking, her eyes deep.

A moment later, Mei Terumī stretched lazily, her shapely curves appearing before Chōjūrō and Ao.

Chōjūrō, who was already a bit shy, quickly turned his head away at this sight, looking flustered.

Ao lowered his head slightly and murmured softly, "Speaking of which, Lord Mizukage should get married soon."

Whoosh!

A cool breeze blew through the air.

Ao suddenly felt a chill down his spine, feeling a murderous aura enveloping him. A bitter expression appeared on Ao's face, and he couldn't help but want to slap himself for speaking out!

Mei Terumī smiled, her eyes slightly narrowed, and she chuckled softly, "Be careful, or people might die."

"Lord... Lord Mizukage, Lord Yūto should... should be waiting for us in the Mizukage Office now. Let's not keep Lord Yūto waiting."

Ao braced himself and stammered quickly.

Mei Terumī's clenched fist paused slightly, then she patted Ao's shoulder heavily and said calmly, "Let's go."

— — — —

Mizukage Office!

Yūto was half-reclined lazily on a nearby sofa, looking utterly dejected.

Talking to the Elder was too mentally exhausting. If there was a next time, Yūto would absolutely not talk to that old fox—no, there wouldn't be a next time!

Click!

With a soft click, the office door opened, and Mei Terumī slowly walked in.

"You're here so early. It seems things went smoothly with Bubble."

Yūto's eyes lit up as he watched Mei Terumī enter, and he chuckled softly.

"As expected of Lord Yūto, it's almost exactly as you predicted."

Mei Terumī nodded, a hint of joy in her voice.

"The Six-Tailed Jinchuriki's problem has been resolved, and the Elder's issues are mostly settled. Now, the entire internal structure of the Mist Ninja Village has completely unified."

Yūto said with a light smile, looking at Mei Terumī.

The transition of power has always been the most perilous. Mei Terumī understood better than anyone that if Lord Yūto hadn't been here to oversee things, this morning's meeting would never have been so calm and uneventful.

I will strive to be a good Mizukage! Mei Terumī secretly vowed in her heart.

"Take advantage of this downtime to get some good rest. In a few days, you'll be very busy."

Yūto leaned back on the sofa, his head resting on his arm, and spoke lazily.

Mei Terumī paused slightly, a sharp glint flashing in her eyes. Just as she was about to ask, Yūto's voice already sounded.

"Before we discuss these matters, there's something even more important."

Yūto rose from the sofa, his gaze fixed intently on Mei Terumī.

Feeling the serious expression on Yūto's face, Mei Terumī also became serious, waiting for Yūto to speak next.

"If I can't find a place to stay before sunset, I'm afraid I'll have to sleep on the streets tonight."

Yūto said to Mei Terumī with a serious expression.

Mei Terumī had a bewildered expression: "Huh?!"

On a street in the Mist Ninja Village.

Mei Terumī and Yūto walked out of a house, looking helpless.

"Speaking of which, as a highly esteemed Elder, do you really have no money?"

Yūto seemed a bit unwilling and asked Mei Terumī again.

"The position of Elder is different from other positions; it doesn't require accountability to anyone, so it belongs to a separate system."

Mei Terumī said softly, and then continued:

"However, Lord Yūto, please rest assured, I will take care of all the financial matters."

Hearing Mei Terumī's words, Yūto directly sighed. Yūto had originally thought that Mei Terumī, as the Mizukage, would be a small rich woman.

It turned out that while she had some money, she was still a long way from being a small rich woman.

The house they had just inquired about was already the seventh one. These houses were either too expensive or only available for rent.

As a dignified Elder, Mei Terumī naturally wouldn't let Yūto stay in a rented house.

Of course, Elders do have benefits, including a property, but the original property is currently occupied by the Elder. Yūto neither planned to live with that old fox nor could he kick him out.

As for a new property, even if they started building it now, it would probably take half a year.

"Um... um, Lord Yūto, if you don't mind, why don't you temporarily stay at my place? My house is very big and has some empty rooms."

Walking on the street, Mei Terumī suddenly spoke softly.

Hearing Mei Terumī's words, Yūto blinked.

An unmarried man and woman, sharing a room.

That wouldn't be good, would it?

Moreover, Yūto strongly suspected that Mei Terumī was just trying to save money!

Yūto's face showed a struggling expression. After a moment, he sighed and said, "Alright, I want the big room."

With the housing problem resolved, Yūto and Mei Terumī both relaxed.

On the street, passing pedestrians looked at Mei Terumī with respectful expressions, bowing slightly, but no one came forward to disturb her.

Similarly, Mei Terumī also nodded and greeted these people with a kind expression.

"Mei Terumī, what is your dream?"

Watching this scene on the street, Yūto asked curiously.

"My dream? I hope to become someone like Lord Yūto, who can protect the Village and is respected by the world. What is Lord Yūto's dream?"

Mei Terumī tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and asked back, also curious.

"To unify the Ninja World," Yūto said calmly.

Thanks to 'Integrity, Professionalism, Friendliness' for the reward.
