A week had passed since Free was declared as the new Baron of Hayan, and a mansion was being build on one of Sylvia's land, Free was in his room with paperworks ten times more than it was when he was still a chief, he sighed regretting that time he once insulted Utto for being slow doing the paperwork.
"This....work" he muttered, silently accepting his fate and signing his paperwork and staring at the taxes.
"Free?" Sylvia called out from behind the door, he paused and glance behind his back.
"You shouldn't ask for permission to enter" he said through the door, She entered inside with a dress that was looking too elegant, she was now a apart of nobility and Zelda had already adviced her to always wear elegant and beautiful dress to show that she is not a commoner anymore and is of a high status now.
"But entering without permission is rude" she replied, Free sighed and gave a smile.
"Sorry, i shouldn't have said that" he apologized and went back to doing his paperwork, there were many letters of outsiders asking for residence, documents, and the increase in Tax.
"You're working hard for the past week" she said, creeping behind him and looking st the scrolls and letters.
"I am, After our village was announcement many people are asking for residence and lands, the Tax has increased and some extra paperwork the king sended" he added, taking one of the scrolls and filling it with his ink, Sylvia sat on the bed staring at Free completely focused in his work now.
As the afternoon approach, the documents were half completed, and Sylvia in the kitchen making lunch with Lina, Free stretch his hand in tiredness, he stared toward the root tree and takes out his cigarette and lit it. Inhaling and exhaling smoke from his mouth, Free sighed as he scratch his head and went back to do his paperwork.
More time passed and Sylvia entered with a tray of food, and put it on Free's bed, she then left to call Iris, Hina, Hinata and Elina for lunch, while Free take a sip from his tea.
By evening all the scrolls and letter had been finished, he stretch his hand and stand up to take fresh air outside gis house. "Finally! Peace" he shouted, walking out of the house and passing by Iris and Hinata who were sparring as always with no care about their status.
As walked around the Town many people greeted him, some bowed to him politely while the elders treated him like he always was, Rael gave a wink as she saw Free walking through the Town's square.
"Hey!! Isn't this Baron Hoshi!!!" she shouted with a grin on her face, Free smiled nervously while Rael patted him on the back without a care.
"ouch. You still had too much strength for an old lady" he muttered while Rael laughed with joy as she walk through the village.
"Anyway, i was curious to ask?" she added, makung Free tilt his head toward her. "Have you chosen any new financial manager? y'know" she asked as Sylvia had already retired as a financial manager the day he became a noble.
"I have a few candidates" he answered. "Four of them, maybe Lustrua is more suited for it" he added, Rael chuckled and gave him a thumbs up.
"No worry! The smartest lady in the village shall test them herself!!!" she yelled running off with the energy of someone still in youth which Free wasn't and never will be.
"A-anyway, i should check on the m-mansion" he said, walking to the south, as he needed to see how the mansion under construction was.
Meanwhile on the house, Sylvia was making dinner and Lina was cleaning the house, and Elina had already taken a break after she finished cleaning the bath room.
"YOU SHOULD HAVE GIVEN UP!!!!" Hinata yelled from the garden knocking Iris flat on the ground for the tenth time today.
"I won't...." she replied standing up from the grass and straightened her wooden sword and launch again for another spar.
Back to Free, he had a forced smile on his face as a guy who was three years older than him with his long hair tied behind him and his voice blabbing without any break.
"OHH, KNIW I ALSO HAD A OUTFIT SIMILAR TO YOU-!!!!!! ALSO I HAD THIS RINGS THOUGH I DON'T HAVE LILE THOSE TEN RINGS YOU HAD THERE!!!" he blabbed and then laughed while Free was fed up with the blab, and tried to escape.
"Where is the managerrrr...." he said, trying to leave byt the guy put a hand kn his back and.
"To your knowledge i am the manager.HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" he laughed again for no reason at all, and Free sighed accepting his fate.
"Where is the blueprint?" Free asked, one worker was just about to open his mouth when the guy kick him using his left leg and laughed again.
"HERE IS THE BLUEPRINT!!!" he handed Free the blueprint which somehow looked decent even though the guy looked crazy.
"Is that guy okay...." Free asked, genuinely Concerned about the man, the laughing madness guy just kicked.
"HAHAHAHAHA HE IS ALL NOT RIGHT!!!" the guy yelles before running off like a toddler to the half build mansion.
"What's up with that guy's mental state?" he muttered.
"No idea" a worker from behind Free who was just passing by carrying a whole wall replied as he approached the mansion to hand the wall to the madness guy who easily picked it up and put it to a nearby tree
