[CONTINUATION]
Ein and James are in the ruins and try to figure out how they can get out of the ruins as quickly as possible.
Ein tells James that he has a way for them to get out of the ruins, but first they need to make James stronger because it would take more time walking around the ruins trying to find and entrance or exist, than it would if they just went to the lowest floor of the ruin so they can kill the boss monster, so they can teleport out.
James asks Ein how he can become stronger. Ein tells James that he should say the words 'Stat Screen' so he can get more information on how to get stronger.
James Belfork: "Stat Screen."
Moments later, a wide blue screen shows up in front of James' face. On the screen, it displays information about James, such as his age, weight, height, abilities, along his growth rate.
On the screen, the has been a tab that showed James' rate of growth and his potential. James' growth rate had a low number; however, it also had the possibility of being increased, so long as certain conditions are met.
When James clicked the tab, he saw that for him to increase his rate of growth, he'd need to absorb the life essence of a spirit.
The tab said that if the essence of a spirit is absorbed by James, his maximum growth rate and potential will be unlocked and even increased.
James looked at Ein and asked him if he knew anywhere where he could get spirits to absorb. Ein told James that, for the sake of convenience, he could absorb some of his spirit power and said that the system would only need a little, so nothing would happen to him.
James then waited for a second, then proceeded to absorb some of Eins' spirit power.
As James was draining Eins' spirit power, the system he had suddenly opened a new screen and unlocked a name.
It was called the 'Demi-god revival system'. On the system screen, James saw a description stating that the system was level 1, and it could be improved upon.
The description of 'The demi-god revival system' had stated that it was a system used by old gods when they had lost their power, to become demi-gods so they could eventually regain their old power.
The system had levels going from 1 - 100, and it also had a screen saying that it could upgrade further after level 100, and become a new system.
James thought to himself and wondered how hard to easy it would be to upgrade the system he was given, so he decided to look around at all of its tabs in order to see how to upgrade the system.
As James was looking around the system to find a way to upgrade it.
He found a tab that allowed him to do so. On the tab, it had multiple paths that could be used to upgrade the system; among the paths, he saw 5 that interested him.
The upgrade paths that James had grown interested in had been called;
Cosmos Demi-Path, Reality Demi-Path, Deathzone Demi-Path, and '??? Demi-Path'.
Of the possible paths that could be taken in upgrading the system, the one that interested James the most had been the '??? Demi-path', which had almost nothing revealed about it in its description, unlike the other 4, but it was an EXX-Level system, so it made James curious.
The description that was on the system path had stated: 'The beginning after the end'.
The systems upgrade path had been unique. For James to upgrade it, he didn't need to absorb spirit power, unlike the first time.
(SCENE)
James Belfork has chosen the '??? Demi-Path'.
When James selected the system, a new tab showed up in front of James. The tab was named 'Skills'.
In the skills tab, it showed the skills James had before getting the system and the skills/abilities he could get if he leveled up.
Amongst James' skills, he had 2 that showed up in the skills tab, one had been 'Light', which was a simple spell that created a small orb of light so people could see in dark places. The other skill James had in the tab had been 'Gluttony'.
When James looked at the description of the gluttony skill, a grin started to appear on James' face. The description of the skill had stated that;
Gluttony is a skill that allows its user to grow by absorbing or eating things, and it also allows the user to gain the skills and abilities of the things they absorb/eat, and it also allows one to improve their physical abilities using the things they've absorbed.
The Gluttony skill also didn't use mana and had no cooldown.
(SCENE)
James saw this thought of every way that he could get stronger by using the skill, and all that could be done with it.
James told Ein about the skill, and Ein immediately told James to absorb he's skeleton.
James asked Ein why, but then realised how stupid he was to even ask that question.
James, with the utmost of haste, took out James' skeleton from his stornge and used the 'Gluttony' skill on it.
As James was absorbing Eins' old skeleton he's system started rapidly upgrading, and James was gaining a lot of skills and abilities along with his physical abilities improving.
James' system made it to level 007/10,0 and his 'Gluttony' Skill also leveled up.
James looked at his 'Skills' tab after his system upgraded, and he saw that he had gotten 15 more skills after absorbing Eins' old skeleton.
As James was looking through the skills, he had seen some pretty overpowered skills, but they all required a lot of mana, so he couldn't use them yet.
Amongst the skills he could use, he saw 3 very good ones. The skills that had been good that James could use had been: '8 Clover Mana Heart', 'Mana resistant', and '5 Clover Mana absorption'.
The first skill that James used was '8 Clover Mana Heart'. When James used this skill, his body immediately started boiling, and he fell, struggling to breathe and clenching his chest. He screamed out in pain before losing consciousness.
After a few minutes of this continuing, the pain suddenly stopped, and he went back to normal.
James, while still sweaty on the floor, finally becomes conscious again and wakes quickly, clenching his chest, just to realise the pain he felt had stopped.
James didn't immediately stand up, but he did push himself off the floor so he could sit for a while.
As James was sitting on the floor, on his system screen, he saw that he's body went through a mutation and he had gotten himself an 8 Clover mana heart, which is equal to A-rank aptitude.
(SCENE)
James gets up fully after a few minutes of rest and tries to get further down the ruins.
James leaves the room where Eins' body was and tries to get stronger and absorb more things using his 'Gluttony' skill, so he won't have a hard time defeating the boss at the bottom of the ruin.
Outside of the room James had previously been in, James finds 2 monsters that he would normally barely be able to defeat if he were still the same as he was before he got his system.
James looks at the monsters and thinks of a way to defeat them using his new skills.
James, realising he has A-rank aptitude now, tries to use a new skill that he couldn't before, but he then remembers that he didn't have much mana saved up that he could easily use, and his skills didn't allow him to use mana freely without any saved.
James, after realising that he still can't use magic until he builds up more mana, decides to take a different approach in drafting the monsters.
James looks at his skills that he has and sees that a new one showed up since he last checked (Which was before he used '8 Clover mana heart').
The new skill James sees is called….
