"I don't think I can do this," I said as we stood in front of the club.
"Yes you can, Anna. If you don't, you might never see your necklace again."
Katie had made me wear a thin strap skimpy dress with deep cleavage that showed off the top of my breast and exposed my laps. It made me feel very uncomfortable, like the whole world was staring at me.
"But isn't this too much?"
Katie smiled.
"You're not naked, Anna. You're still wearing a dress, just showing a little more than usual to attract those young billionaire men." She winked.
I still wasn't very sure if this was a good idea. But the more I thought about it, the better I realized how hopeless the situation was. The diamond necklace was worth millions, even if I worked for five whole years, it wouldn't still be enough, and worse it would be auctioned off in a few days. So, I decided that Katie's idea wasn't very bad afterall. It was the only way I could get such money.
"You don't have to do it if you want to." Katie took my hands in hers, looking straight into my eyes.
"I do want my necklace back. I'm just scared about the things that might go wrong." I have heard quite some bad stories about girls being killed, kidnapped and assaulted for this same job. And the thought of it happening to me made me shudder.
"Don't worry, this is a special club. Nothing bad happens to girls who work here," she assured. "Now let's go."
As soon as we entered the club, the heavy sound of hot music reached my ears. I scanned the whole place with my eyes wide open. If I thought my dress was too opened, then inside here, girls were mostly naked. Some wore sexy lingeries, while others were in skimpy bikinis that left little to the imagination, swaying around the pole, while some of them were in the midst of men.
I suddenly felt ashamed.
"Would these men even spare me a glance? The girls are very beautiful and curvy too…" I trailed off.
"You bother yourself too much, Anna. You look stunning. I would be lying if I say you don't stand out in this room," Katie said, as we stood in an open space. "Stay here, someone will definitely approach you. And don't forget everything I told you."
I nodded.
"Good. I will leave you now. Enjoy yourself." She adjusted my hair and blew me a kiss before leaving.
I stood there alone unsure of what to do. My hands were trembling slightly and my heart beat faster in my chest. I ordered a glass of soft drink to distract myself as I waited for whoever might come.
Suddenly, I noticed an intense gaze on me. I turned my head to where I felt the gaze the most and my eyes met with a pair of beautiful hazel eyes. For a moment, my breath seized up as I looked at the handsome figure sitting a few feet away from me. He didn't smile and kept staring at me in a way that made my skin crawl.
I quickly tore my gaze away and focused on my drink.
"Hi, stunning." Shortly, someone said next to me. Turning to the voice, my heart nearly leaped out of my chest. It was the same guy.
"Oh… Hello…" I said nervously, trying to mask my uneasiness with a fake smile.
"What is a Beauty doing in a place like this? Or are you looking for a Beast?" He smiled beautifully, standing two steps away from me.
"Thank you… I guess I'm just looking for a little adventure tonight."
I could feel my cheeks warming up as I spoke. There was something intriguing about the guy, he had this very aura that made me want to run away as far as I could, yet want to stay to see how things would go.
"Can I know the name of this gorgeous? And maybe she can add me to her list of adventures tonight." He winked, causing me to snort. He was funny.
"Jacy Anderson… And you?" I remembered Katie warning me not to tell anyone my real name.
I noticed the glint that flashed through his eyes, before he quickly smiled.
"Seith Ford."

"Dude, you called us here to celebrate your big wins, and you're fucking ignoring us?!" Nathan said, looking at Alexander with a deep frown.
"He doesn't seem to be in a good mood," Lucas intercepted. "Are you alright, Alex?"
But Alexander wasn't listening to them, in fact he wasn't even hearing them. His gaze and attention was fixed on the white-haired thing standing in the middle of the club with a dress that left little to the imagination. What the fuck was she doing here?! Who the hell told her she could go to places like this without seeking permission? And that guy in front of her… The guy suddenly turned the side of his face, and Alexander didn't need to see him clearly to know who it was.
His jaw clenched tightly and his chest burned with rage. That bastard! What the fuck was he doing with her?
"What are you staring at?" Lucas asked as he didn't respond. Confused, he followed Alexander's line of sight and what he saw next made his brows furrowed in surprise.
"Isn't that the wife you just told us about? What is she doing in the club?"
"Wife? Is Alex's wife here?" Nathan glanced at Alexander before looking down at the first floor. His eyes widened slightly.
"Yo… What is your wife doing here? And wait, isn't that Seith?"
"Seith?" Lucas looked back to confirm. And it was indeed Seith.
"Alex, that's Seith with your wife… Aren't you going to do anything? You know how cunny he can be," Lucas said with concern.
Alexander almost laughed. He didn't care what Seith did to her. He was more concerned about the fact that Seith could open his mouth and spout nonsense to her. If he did, then he would definitely kill that bastard. She couldn't know anything about his intentions when he wasn't even there yet.
He removed his gaze from them and faced Lucas. "What made you think she's free from danger with me?"
"Because she's your wife, fake or not. You won't let her get hurt," he said.
Alexander scoffed in dismay, then grabbed the bottle of wine on the table and poured some into the short glass, before looking at Lucas again.
"You underestimate me so much, Lucas," he began, "she might be my… wife, it doesn't change who she is. She's a Steele. Her father's blood runs in her veins. And to be clear, she isn't safe with me either, I could do worse to her."
There was a complicated look on Lucas' face before he exchanged an awkward glance with Nathan.
"Don't do too much, Alex. Her father might hurt you, but she isn't her father."
"It doesn't matter. Every one of them would atone for George's sin. Whether she's her father or not, that's left for me to decide."
Lucas' shoulders dropped with a sigh, as if to say he gave up.
"Just be careful," he muttered under his breath.
Alexander glared at him, then grabbed his glass of wine and turned his attention back to the two birds in the club. As he sipped his wine, he watched them, his anger rising to the surface with each passing second. And when Seith took her wrist and started leading her out of the club, he saw pure red. Where was he taking her? The thought of Seith sitting her down and telling her about him made him want to rip Seith apart away from her.
His grip on the glass was shaking and he almost spilled the content on the table. But he didn't move. He calmed himself down while they disappeared out of the club.
Shortly, he got up from his seat and turned to the door.
"Where are you going? You're not following them, are you?" Lucas quickly asked.
"No." He wasn't going to follow them. He was going home to wait for Anna. She would have a lot of explanation to do when she came back.
