Iyan grandmother had disappeared, leaving her heartbroken and lost. She cried into the shadows, the weight of her loss overwhelming her. The wind whispered, carrying with it voices that warned her—her only enemy would be losing hope. She was told that losing hope meant losing everything, and without it, her quest would fail. She had to stand up, pursue her aim in this world, or risk allowing the spirits of iyango and Amoni to torment her existence.
Iyan wept, the voices of the spirits echoing in her mind. She cried herself to sleep, only to dream of Amoni and iyango pleading for her help. They cried to her, asking her to reunite them, to bring their love back to life. In the dream, she saw her mother urging her not to continue this journey, that it would only lead to her death. Her grandmother appeared beside her, encouraging her to go forward. Torn between their words, iyancould not decide what to do.
Suddenly, she saw a figure—a mysterious woman, an old figure who grabbed her and dragged her back toward the world of the living. As she followed, she stumbled and fell into a deep pit. She woke with a start, her body shaking from the nightmare. Beside her stood a small child, crying softly. But this child's cry carried a sense of dread, reminding iyan of her grandmother's warning.
The witch had told her, *"Every child you encounter in the spirit world means something is wrong. Death follows you in this world, and the spirits are not always what they seem. You must stay cautious—only those who are truly part of this world will bow before you."*
Iyan stared at the child, understanding that every cry she heard was a warning. Anything that came into her path in this world might be a symbol of death. A giant figure appeared before her, a woman who told iyan that her journey must end or she would be doomed to die. But iyan could feel the presence of Amoniand iyango spirits. They were persistent, demanding that she continue the journey to bring them back, no matter the cost.
Iyan turned to the woman asking why she didn't want the love to return. The woman told her that when their love came to the world, it would cause untold pain her and The deadly witch would suffer as well, and her arrival would spread pain and chaos. But if she succeeded, iyan would face either the death of her spirit or the destruction of everything she held dear.
Despite the warnings, iyan was determined. She could feel the strength of Amoni spirit, and together, they would challenge the world of death. The love of iyango and Amoni was too strong to ignore. Whatever the consequences, iyan vowed to bring them together, for this love was worth any sacrifice.
