Chapter 175 - Killing Joe El

Clark couldn't bear to look, turning his head away. He had already foreseen this man's end.

But he also knew this person was an executioner, and he wasn't averse to Gino killing bad guys.

"Splatter." It was like modern abstract art, paint splashed randomly across a canvas; countless blood and yellow-white matter burst forth.

The pressure of the fear-filled air caused the body to explode.

The human skin mask shattered under the pressure as well, and a crimson head fell to the ground and rolled like a ball.

"Step." With a light step of his leather shoe, Gino gently stomped down, causing the hideous face to explode, announcing the Red Skull's death.

Gino grabbed Clark by the collar, taking him to the second-floor iron corridor. The boy glanced at Dr. Zola, who was trembling uncontrollably, and issued an order: "Now, you take us to find the Tesseract."

A deep blue, cube-like crystal fell into Gino's hand, radiating a brilliant glow. The prismatic cube contained a strange energy, flowing like mist, and as bright as the Milky Way.

"This thing is beautiful," Clark admired, his lovesick heart prompting him to say, "Lana would definitely like this. It would probably be even more beautiful as a necklace."

"That's assuming you want to see your sweetheart turned into quantum particles," Gino sneered, taking out his assistant from his pocket. "The Singer, begin work."

"Buzz~" Receiving his order, the assistant from Cybertron began to transform. A flip phone popped open, and a string of data link lines gently connected to the light blue Tesseract's eight faces.

"Retrieving Tesseract energy," The Singer controlled the device, and the cold instrument lit up with blue light.

In the next instant, intense blue light surged, like a blooming sun engulfing the two men. The light enveloped Gino and Clark together. Then, the two figures vanished from the laboratory, leaving only a horrified Dr. Zola staring blankly at this unbelievable scene.

Luthor Chemical Plant.

It was deep in the night.

Three weeks had passed since Gino and Clark disappeared.

Not only was Lex anxious, but their friends were also in a panic.

Jonathan and Martha were incredibly worried, and Martha, who had just become pregnant, miscarried due to her excessive concern for Clark.

"Where exactly did they go?" This was the question on everyone's mind.

However, unlike the anxiety of others, Lex was currently in an underground laboratory, touching his smooth head and staring seriously at a precision device built at a huge cost. A large glass sphere was placed in the center of the circular device, and within it, glowing white-blue energy light balls were floating.

"The 99th positioning experiment, commencing."

Lex pressed the switch, and with flashes of electricity, those glowing white spheres connected to each other, and the computer began to display a series of characters.

"A string of latitude and longitude coordinates." Lex recognized the purpose of these arrays with just a glance.

Then, his originally calm expression gradually became strange.

The reason was simple because, according to the coordinates of this dimension, Gino's location was precisely the Luthor Chemical Plant.

Boom!

The rumbling overhead interrupted Lex's thoughts, and the ceiling trembled slightly.

In the corner, Bizarro, covered in bandages, struggled to his feet, shouting about protecting "Father."

"No, don't be alarmed, Bizarro," Lex said, his eyes narrowed, but his heart was filled with a sense of joy. He had a guess.

The heavy metal door automatically opened.

"Tap, tap."

Lex didn't have to wait long. Light footsteps echoed from behind him, and the familiar voice said, "Guess what I brought back this time, Lex?"

"I hope it's a girlfriend," Lex quipped sarcastically.

After all, even he, let alone the people of Metropolis, had gone through four or five girlfriends, considering he was just as rich as Gino. Yet, his brother was still single.

He turned around.

In the empty experimental base, his brother stood perfectly still, dressed in a suit. In his hand, he held an eight-sided energy crystal, which reflected dazzling light under the incandescent lamps.

Behind him followed an old man with a hunched back, who seemed to be a scientist, looking at the equipment in the lab with amazement.

"This thing." Lex narrowed his eyes slightly. Judging from its appearance alone, the energy contained in this crystal was far better than the previous quantum mask.

"Bigger, better, stronger." Gino laughed and placed the crystal on the table.

"My brother, with this, we can now achieve interstellar travel, and even take people on tours."

"Also, the person behind me is Dr. Erskine, a powerful scientist, who might become your assistant."

"Perhaps."

Lex sneered, obviously not taking Gino's words seriously. He didn't think anyone's intelligence could surpass his own.

"Right, Lex." Gino narrowed his eyes slightly. "The Clark who broke in earlier was actually being controlled by an energy being."

He told Lex about Clark's adoptive father, the energy being, "Jor-El."

"Do you need my help?" Lex asked, looking at Gino seriously after listening.

"No need."

"Alright."

Lex nodded, confident in Gino's abilities.

"Oh, right. Clark's adoptive mother had a miscarriage. Maybe you should go take a look." He picked up a cup of coffee from the table and took a sip. "Also, Chloe has been looking for you a lot recently."

Gino didn't respond, just nodded silently.

"I'll go see them."

"But before that, I have one more thing to do." He picked up the Tesseract, a glint of coldness flashing in his eyes.

Jor-El, who had turned into an energy body, thought he could escape, so he would unleash a more powerful energy body to strike.

"This time, Jor-El must die!"

Inside the Indian Cave.

The original recessed stone wall was filled with a burning golden light.

The energy runes on the wall changed and interconnected.

Immediately, a golden spatial vortex lit up.

Jor-El's voice echoed from within the golden light.

"Come to Earth, my child. You no longer need to wander the universe. Earth will soon be your second home."

"Come back, my most proud child."

His voice still held that alluring cadence, just like before.

"Perhaps, you won't have to wait for that time." A sudden, out-of-place voice echoed in the empty cave.

"What?"

Jor-El's voice gained a hint of surprise.

He saw a cerulean space crack open in the corner of the cave wall.

The golden-haired young man, holding the Tesseract, lightly leaped and landed on the ground of the Indian Cave.

He raised the Tesseract towards Jor-El, the familiar blue light reigniting and blossoming, filling the entire cave.

"Relics of the old era should remain in the trash heap."
