Chapter 100 - SLIP OF HAND

Atlas was going through a document for a building project he was just forwarded, when his phone beeped.

From his laptop screen, he shifted his gaze to the phone on the same table, and saw he had gotten a text.

He picked up the phone, and swiped up to read the text.

His eyes doubled when he saw the name on the screen.

"Aveline?" He whispered with lifted brows.

Hey, it was great seeing you today, and catching up, but I don't think it's appropriate for us to meet again. I'd explain everything to you, but I can't. Maybe sometime in the future. But until then, bye for now.

His eyes squinted, as he read the message again to be sure he was seeing clearly.

There were no mistakes on his second read. It was just the same as the first time he read it.

Lifting his head up, his gaze darkened and his hand folded into a tight fist.

"Liar," he muttered under his breath, his voice cold as ice.
