Aveline nodded.
He expected her to run off like she usually did in the face of challenges. Or at least bury her face to the ground and sap.
But much to his surprise, she smiled.
"She did tell me you two used to sleep together. I guess you've both rekindled the flames of passion. Good for you," she smiled.
It took everything in Aveline to turn away from him, and return her attention to the fountain.
His words had cut deeper than she ever imagined.

"Yeah, thanks for your support. I'd like to support you too," he said.
"Huh?" Her brow slanted as she wondered what he was talking about.
Atlas pulled out his phone, and began to read out the message she sent to Landon.
In the middle of him reading it out, it clicked in her head what he was reading.
Her head spun behind to face him. "How did you get that?" She asked in a hush, and shaky voice.
