With a calm, practised manner, Shinji clicked on the rewards, upon which a large screen appeared, filled with all manner of celebration. As soon as it disappeared, Shinii looked at the participation list, which determines how many rewards they receive, depending on how active they were in the adventure (or mission). With a simple click, he gazed at the list...
[Herta Space Station Contribution List:
1- Prissy Loser: 75%
2- Dr. Teacher: 10%
3- The Cutest Girl In The World: 10%
4- Galaxy Baseballer: 5%
Rewards shall now be distributed accordingly...]
And with a bang, treasure chests of all sizes flew into their mailboxes...
[The Cutest Girl In The World: Oh, yippee!]
[Dr. Teacher: I needed a new Electrogravic containment field anyways...]
[Galaxy Baseballer: I get prizes...?]
Ignoring the hubbub, Shinji opened his chest – inside lay 2 Diamond loot boxes, and one Mythical box. Clicking them, a bright, fun-tastical animation played out, before displaying their rewards:
[Broken Staff: A fragment of a broken promise. Though it had served its purpose, its owner's thoughts seemed to have penetrated into its essence, acting as a catalyst to summon forth the remnants of its owner (hint: Lè Holy Grail War, 2004)
Broken Orb: Seems to be the missing half of an augmenting organ. Perhaps a certain half-man, half-machine who wants to trade with you for it...]
But it was the third thing that took his breath away
[1×Mythical Fragment: Using it with 99 other fragments, you can summon a Mythic-tier artifact]
That simple introduction alone was enough for Shinji
For over ten years, ever since he had gotten Mental Immunity, Shinji had been saving Mythical Fragments over the years. Even though he could have swapped them for UR rewards and artifacts, he kept them...
All for the sake of reviving the Emperor
Even though he was not a resident of Warhammer-verse, and he had the choice to abandon them, he nevertheless persevered.
For he revered the Emperor for what he did for all mankind
He knew that whenever he got up from the Golden Throne (and he would), he would have lost all semblance of humanity within him. Though he would've saved the dying Imperium, he would've become the very thing he abhorred-
The Dark King
But going through the Artifact Catalogue many years ago, he chanced upon the hidden store
The Mythical Store
There, in its infinite glory, lay nearly a hundred taboo artifacts and products, ranging from a potion that would grant complete conceptual immortality, to a pixelated block that held the secrets of the universe. In the midst of them, Shinji chanced upon a very special product...
A very special...Lantern
Reading it, he knew it would help solve the problem of the Emperor, but the issue was that it took over a hundred Mythical fragments to condense at least one Mythical ticket to spin the wheel. Over the years, he has gained many of the things he wanted, such as that damn block (I want to know his number, asking for a friend - Herobrine, 2025).
But never the Lantern
Currently, Shinji, after praying to whatever Deity he can possibly imagine, condensed the tenth Mythical ticket. Hoping that the age-old adage of 'every tenth turn is gold', Shinji spun the wheel. As the wheel continued spinning, Shinji prayed, with all his heart and soul, that he would get it. When he saw it turning over the Lantern, his heart sank, his head down low.
But suddenly, a miracle occurred
Some higher power must have heard his pleas, for just as it was about to go over to the Herrscher of Finality core, it jumped back, over to the Lantern. Unable to believe his eyes, Shinji, rubbing his eyes furiously, collected his reward-
[Travel Lantern: A creation from a parallel Earth, 1000 years into the future. Has the capability to traverse the Multiverse without issue, bypassing the Androchiev Interlocking Field.
But its main function is to connect to the Emotional Spectrum, the very essence of life and soul. Unless you have great willpower, do not recklessly bind yourself to the Lantern...]
