An alarm was given off from Blackgate, Black Mask invaded the prison and captured the Commissioner, and this was all that was needed for the Batwing to take off from the Batcave.
Flying over the prison, the driver, Batman, dropped from the aircraft and landed in front of the prison's entrance, "Alfred, new information come in?" He asked over the comms, "Something appears to have entered the perimeter, sir, not sure if it's from mr. Sionis." The butler explaine.
Turning off the comms, Batman went to the torn apart entrance and made his way through the debris, until finding Martin Joseph, warden of Blackgate, getting battered by one of Black Mask's goons.
"Wait, no please-" Joseph tried pleading, only to get wacked in the head with a pipe, "You should have known better than to double cross the boss." The thug mockingly scolded, preparing to beat him more.
At that moment Batman made his presence known, which did not go unnoticed, "W-what is that behind you!?" The warden questioned the thug who scoffed in response, "You think I'm gonna fall... For that-" The thug stopped at the sight of the shadow looming over him.
Turning around in shock, the thug was scared and shocked at the vigilante glaring at him, so he swinged the pipe, only for it to get smacked out of his hand, and before anything else, Batman grabbed him by the throat and held him at the wall, before tossing him to the ground and breaking his arm.
"N-no!" Joseph let out in fear as Batman approached him, "Stay back!" He warned before grabbing a pipe, only to get disarmed and held in a lock, "I'm not going to hurt you." Batman reassured as he let him go.
Now calmer, the Warden could only stare in fear an awe, "I-I heard the rumors, but- Y-you're not supposed to be real!" He stuttered out as a loud roar came from further withing the prison, "Is that what caused this?" Batman asked, referring to the structural damage, "It must be, I have never seen anything like it!" Joseph exclaimed, putting a hand where the thug hit him.
With all the information he needed, Batman proceeded forward until he ran into some of Black Mask's thugs, "One of them has to know where Sionis is headed." Batman rationalized, making his way into the room.
"H-holy shit! It's the bat!" One of them exclaimed in shock, prompting others to take pipes that were sticking out of the wall, while the one who gave the waring went to try and take him out, but was quickly knocked out with a sweep at the feet and an ankle twist that broke it.
The other two attacked at the same time, swinging the pipes they grabbed, but to their surprise, Batman avoided them and took the pipes, slamming both of them on one of their head, knocking him down, while grabbing the other and holding him against the wall.
"Where is Sionis!?" Batman questioned, "Screw you!" The thug responsed, only to get more pressure on his neck, "You think I got all night?" Batman threatened causing the thug to give, "Alright! Alright! He's going to the exectuion chamber with Loeb!" He admitted.
With that Batman gave him a good right hook to the jaw, knocking him out, "Alfred, where is the exectuion room?" He asked over comms, "If you continue forward you should get there quickly." Alfred informed.
Batman proceeded through the prison, up until he found thugs holding civilians hostage, quickly disposing of them, he looked at the people that were behind bars, "H-he's real..." One of them muttered in shock.
Approaching them, the one in the front, Reporter Vicky Vale, she stumbled back, "D-don't hurt me!" She begged, bracing herself, "Black Mask went through here right?" He asked, "W-Y-yes, through the elevator." Vikcy confirmed, "B-but he blocked the shaft somehow." She added, motioning to the wall that was somehow lodged there.
Using explosive gel, Batman broke down the wall and dropped down, where he saw a giant crocodile man toss a security guard from a ledge via a bite, "Good think people say you're the myth, sir." Alfred mused, "Waylon Jones, also known in the ring as Killer Croc." Batman explained, "Yes I heard of him, though I didn't expect him to take money as a mercenary." Alfred noted.
Chasing down Croc, something ran into Batman from around the corner, "What?" He let out as he made it out to be an unmanned drone, "Is this... No, it can't be Sionis." He pondered, realizing that someone was spying on Black Mask.
The drone started flying away, and since it was probably after Black Mask, Batman gave chase, but eventually he lost it, luckily however it did bring him to Sionis, who just put Loeb in the execution chamber.
Meanwhile, somewhere else in Gotham, someone was currently guiding the supposedly unmanned, unknown to even it's actual owner, "So the Batman is real, should have figured." The one said thoughtfully.
This one is Sonya Owland, otherwise known as the Digital Ghost, a fifteen year old who holds possibly the biggest grudge out of everyone in Gotham, visible through all five pupils.
"I should keep alert with this guys." She decided, knowing that a lot of recent arrests weren't actually from the police, and seeing how she managed to get the drone to lose the bat, she had it follow- "Take the data-" She heard Sionis order someone, only for her feed to get cut off, following a loud crash that made her fall off her chair.
Quickly getting to her feet, Sonya managed to save whatever data wasn't corrupted yet, then she attempted to try and get at least a bit more from the feed, "Come on..." She muttered, typing commands to divert power to the camera.
Once connectione was enstablished again, the first thing that got picked up was Batman approaching the drone, "I told you to grab the data drive!" She managed to hear Sionis yell, making her realize that it was still in the drone, so quickly she uploaded something to it, knowing that Batman would be taking the drive.
In the prison, Batman did just that, noticing how damaged the drive was, and decided to try to recover at least something, then kept following Sionis who went to the roof.
Getting there, Croc caught Batman's smell and motioned for Sionis to get away, "I could smell you from a mile." He claimed, "You're not that pleasant yourself." Batman insulted, before rolling away, barely dodging a charging attack from Croc.
Avoid each attack made Batman realize that Croc's skin was probably too tough to deal any real damage, but he did have something that probably could damage him, so he took out the Explosive Gel and between dodged began covering Croc in it.
After one last spray, Croc managed to grab Batman, but by that point the match was set as Batman detonated the gel, sending Croc flying the other way, barely able to stand, "...It doesn't matter if you defeat me, the others will finish the job!" He boasted with a chuckle.
"Others!?" Batman questioned, planning to try and get more out of him, but the impact from the explosion finally set in and Croc passed out, and at that moment, Captain James Gordon and two other policemen arrived on the roof, causing Batman to jump down and get in the Batwing to get away, "No such thing as a batman huh?" One of them sarcastically questioned Gordon.
"Alfred, prepare the Bat-Computer for data recovery, I have a feeling it's going to be a long night." Batman informed, already steeling himself.
