"Wait a minute!"
Rayden suddenly paused, his expression changing as a thought struck him.
"We forgot something..."
"Huh? What is it, Rayden?" everyone asked, confused.
Then, realization hit them all at once. Cold sweat ran down their backs.
Bulma is still in the cave!
After the battle, they had completely forgotten about her.
"Rayden, we're finished!" Clinton panicked.
"I'm definitely getting scolded again," Yamcha muttered helplessly.
"Haha!" Son Goku laughed, scratching his head. "Krillin, Yamcha—you guys are still so scared of Bulma!"
Son Gohan quickly suggested, "Let's go find Aunt Bulma right now!"
---
Elsewhere...
Bulma stood at the top of a mountain, arms crossed and fuming. Her eyes scanned the area angrily.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
"Bulma, we're back!" Son Goku called out as he descended from the sky.
Before he even landed, Bulma began shouting.
"Goku! So you do remember I exist! How could you leave a weak woman like me in a place like this?! This planet keeps shaking—it nearly scared me to death!"
Rayden stepped forward, trying to calm her. "It's alright now, Bulma. Frieza's been taken care of, and Tien Shinhan and the others have been resurrected."
Yamcha added, "Yeah! We're ready to leave now!"
Bulma's anger only grew.
"Ready to leave? Without a spaceship? Let me guess—you're planning to use my capsule ship again?! You guys are seriously driving me crazy!"
"Women from Earth are such trouble," Vegeta muttered, curling his lip in disdain.
Bulma froze.
"A... Saiyan?! What's he doing here?!"
She quickly ducked behind Goku. "Goku, get him away from me!"
Goku looked at the arrogant Vegeta, who stood with arms crossed.
"Bulma, it's fine. He's not going to do anything bad."
From their recent battle together, Goku had witnessed Vegeta's incredible potential firsthand. If Vegeta received proper training—especially under Rayden—he could possibly become even stronger than Goku himself.
Now that Frieza was gone and Vegeta had severed ties with the Frieza Force, Goku saw an opportunity. If they could train together, maybe both could grow even stronger.
It wasn't that he looked down on Piccolo, Krillin, or the others. But ever since he became a Super Saiyan, Goku had seen a different world. Training with weaker opponents would only stall his progress.
He needed a true rival. And who better than the proud Prince of Saiyans?
"Let's leave Namek first," Goku said to Bulma. "Don't worry. I'll protect you."
---
Bang!
Bulma took out a universal capsule and tossed it to the ground. With a puff of smoke, a sleek universe spaceship appeared.
Rayden, Goku, Gohan, Yamcha, Vegeta, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, Krillin, Piccolo, and Bulma all boarded the spacecraft.
(In the original story, after Goku defeated Frieza, he accidentally arrived on the planet Yardrat and learned Instant Transmission.)
But now, none of them knew Yardrat's coordinates.
Rayden, deep in thought, suddenly spoke up.
"Goku, ask King Kai where the planet Yardrat is. Let's go there first."
"Rayden, why Yardrat? Aren't we going back to Earth?" Krillin asked, puzzled.
Yardrat was known as a mysterious planet, home to magical techniques and secrets many could only dream of. Its people were peaceful and kind, hating violence—but they had developed an incredible number of powerful techniques.
"We're going to learn a few special moves," Rayden said calmly.
"Are they strong techniques?" Goku turned to him with eager eyes.
"There are many powerful moves on Yardrat," Rayden replied with a knowing smile. "It depends on whether you can learn them."
"I want to learn!" Goku declared. "I'll contact King Kai now!"
He closed his eyes, focusing as he used the communication technique King Kai had taught him.
"Lord Kai, can you hear me? It's Goku!"
King Kai's voice crackled through. "Goku! I watched your battle on Namek—amazing! You really became the legendary Super Saiyan and defeated Frieza! Well done!"
"Thank you! By the way, could you tell me where Yardrat is?"
"I see... hold on, let me check..."
A minute passed before King Kai returned.
"Yardrat is at coordinates 8760YX, position SU94."
"Thanks, Lord Kai!"
Goku opened his eyes. "Rayden, I got the location."
"Great. Go tell Bulma," Rayden replied with a smile.
The spacecraft veered off its previous course and headed for Yardrat.
---
One week later...
The spaceship finally landed on Yardrat.
Their first view was stunning—houses built atop tall stone pillars, each one shaped like a lollipop. From afar, it was like a candy city floating in the sky.
Before they could admire the scenery for long, thousands of Yardrat citizens surrounded them.
Despite the crowd, everyone looked friendly. Rayden stepped forward and began to explain their purpose.
Suddenly, the crowd shimmered—and all the Yardrat people fused into a single figure.
"Huh?! Where did everyone go?" Krillin scratched his bald head, confused.
The figure stepped forward. "This is one of our secret techniques—used to confuse and mislead enemies who invade our planet."
"That's incredible!" Yamcha said, amazed. "If I didn't know better, I'd think we were about to fight a whole army!"
---
Just then, five circular universe spaceships crashed onto the surface nearby.
BOOM!
The ships smashed into the ground, creating massive craters.
Click...
The hatches opened.
Five warriors stepped out, all in matching uniforms.
As soon as they landed, they struck ridiculous poses and began introducing themselves with loud, exaggerated flair.
Rayden instantly moved behind Son Gohan and covered his eyes.
"Uncle Rayden, what are you doing?" the boy asked, confused.
Everyone else was equally puzzled.
Rayden muttered under his breath, "I'm doing this for Gohan's own good. He's going to be a divine warrior someday—he can't be exposed to this nonsense!"
Vegeta rolled his eyes. Having recognized the group, he turned away with disdain.
"That Saiyan and Rayden are acting weird," Bulma said suspiciously.
The bizarre group finished their dance.
"We are... THE GINYU FORCE!"
Everyone froze.
"Rayden, Vegeta—why didn't you warn us? We could've looked away!" Krillin groaned.
"Captain, they're laughing at us!" Jeice complained.
"They just don't understand art!" Burter insisted.
"Captain," Jeice continued, pointing at Vegeta. "He's over there. Let me deal with him!"
Ginyu thought for a moment.
"All four of you go. Take care of that group first. Then we can conquer this planet."
Guldo approached Vegeta, trying to act smug. "Vegeta, no greeting for Lord Guldo?"
"You four-eyed toad, you're asking for death."
Vegeta raised a single hand—and vaporized Guldo in one blast.
"Vegeta, you bastard!" Jeice screamed. "You ruined our performance! We practiced for two and a half years!"
Son Gohan struggled, trying to see what was going on, but Rayden kept his hands over the boy's eyes.
"Krillin, Yamcha! Do something already! Are you waiting for another dance?" Rayden barked.
"Oh, right!"
The two sprang into action.
"Destructo Disc!"
"Spirit Bomb Barrage!"
Burter and Jeice were both sliced in half by Krillin's Destructo Disc.
Recoome was struck by Yamcha's energy blast and vanished in a fiery explosion.
"Frieza will avenge us!" Ginyu shouted in desperation.
Vegeta chuckled coldly. "Frieza's dead. You're the only one still dancing to his tune."
He unleashed a powerful blast, disintegrating Ginyu.
To his last breath, Ginyu couldn't understand how Vegeta had grown so powerful.
---
Son Gohan finally broke free from Rayden's grip, blinking in confusion.
"Huh? Did a fight just happen?"
Yamcha chuckled. "Don't worry, Gohan. You're too young to understand all this."
"Oh... okay."
Rayden sighed in relief. "Good. Gohan didn't see that ridiculous performance. His future as a dignified Saiyan is safe."
---
"Thank you for helping us defend our planet," Pibala said gratefully. "Please, follow me. I'll take you to the Great Elder."
The group followed Pibala to a palace, very different from the houses they had seen earlier. This one looked ancient and grand, with an air of wisdom and mystery.
Pibala gestured toward it.
"The Great Elder is inside. Please enter."
Just then, a calm, deep voice echoed from within.
"Welcome, travelers from afar. Come in."
Rayden paused, momentarily stunned. Then he smiled.
Of course—the Yardrat people are known for their mysterious powers. It's not surprising they knew we were coming.
"Let's go," he said.
Rayden stepped into the palace first, leading the group into the next chapter of their journey.
