Chapter 27 - CHAPTER 27: WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN JOINING US

"I don't understand, don't you hate my mother, so why are you being so kind to me?" Olissa asked.

"The only reason I hated your mother is because my memories of her were twisted and manipulated to make me hate her. Now I remember everything," Jennifer said with tears in her eyes.

Gus cleared his throat. "Now, then I have a question for the two of you," Gus said, pointing a finger at Breaton and Buveur. "Are the two of you brothers?" he asked.

"No, we are not brothers. I am just a personification of his power," Buveur said, pointing a finger at Breaton.

Gus, Jennifer, and Arcadian were shocked and confused at the same time.

"How is that even possible?" Arcadian asked in confusion.

"First of all, let me start off by saying my name is Buveur de Sang, but just call me Buveur for short. This guy is named Breaton Good-heart. Originally born a human, he was injected with three enchanted vials containing blood of a demon, melted claws of a werewolf, and saliva of a vampire," Buveur said with a tired expression.

"I don't understand why someone would do that. What were they hoping to accomplish?" Gus asked with a frown.

"That was all me. I did it on my mother's orders. She told me it would help the witches consolidate power. After injecting him with the vials, I was supposed to give birth to a prodigy child with the powers of a demon, the abilities of a werewolf, the abilities of a vampire, and the powers of a witch. The child would be known as an ultra-hybrid," Olissa said with a sigh.

"Is your mother insane? Why would she create a child with that much power? Is she trying to rule the world or something?" Gus asked, his eyes open in shock.

"She said she needed that power to defeat the demon king, Fi-Six," Olissa replied.

"Oh, I see now. Breaton is the father of her child. How powerful can a they be at this stage?" Gus thought to himself.

"Hey! System, scan this young lady again," Gus shouted, pointing a finger at Olissa.

The automatic voice spoke, "Scanning target." A red light washed over Olissa. The automatic voice spoke again, "Scanning complete. Target: Gender Female, Race: Hybrid of Witche Half-human/Half-demon, Power Range: 7000 out of 9000, Name: Olissa Eills. Vital Signs: Blood Pressure 120/80 mmHg, Heart Rate 90 bpm, Body Temperature 37.8°C (100.0°F is normal but lets leave it). Additional information: Pregnancy detected, estimated age of pregnancy approximately 1 month. Secondary target: Unborn Fetuses: Genders: One Male and Female, Race: Ultra-hybrids, Power Range: 1900 out of 1900 for both, and still rising. Names unknown, heart rates: 160/161 bpm." No further information at this time.

"That's insane! How can they be this powerful and they are only a month old in the womb?" Gus said in disbelief.

Breaton's heart skipped a beat when he heard the announcement. "Olissa, is it true? Are you carrying my children?" he asked, his voice cracking with emotion, tears welling up in his eyes.

Olissa turned to him, her expression a mix of guilt and tenderness. "Yes, it's true. I didn't say anything because you were so caught up with trying to save Merry, so I kept it to myself," she replied, her voice soft and apologetic.

"Sorry, but am I the only one who's acknowledging that there are two of them and not one?" Buveur asked with a smile.

"The bigger question is, where do we go from here?" Gus asked, rubbing his chin.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm going to rescue Merry and protect my children," Breaton said with conviction.

"I'm with you, let's do this," Buveur said, putting a hand on Breaton's shoulder.

"Wait, I have a proposition for you. Would you consider joining the League of Enders?" Gus asked Breaton and Buveur.

Breaton's eyes narrowed slightly as he considered Gus's proposal. "The League of Enders? I've heard of it, but I'm not sure what to expect. What exactly would joining entail?"

Gus leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with enthusiasm. "The League is a group of powerful individuals who work together to protect the world from threats both internal and external. With your abilities, Breaton, and your... unique perspective, Buveur, I think you'd be a perfect fit."

Buveur raised an eyebrow. "And what's in it for us? What benefits would we gain from joining the League?"

Gus smiled. "As members of the League, you'd have access to resources, training, and a network of allies who share our goals. You'd also have a say in the decision-making process, helping to shape the direction of the League."

Breaton's expression turned thoughtful. "I'm not sure... I need to think about it. But one thing is certain: I'll do whatever it takes to protect my children and those I care about."

Buveur nodded in agreement. "I'm with Breaton. We'll consider it, Gus. But first, let's focus on rescuing Merry. What's the plan?"

Gus grinned. "Ah, I was hoping you'd be interested. I have a few ideas already brewing..."

"What about you, Olissa? Are you interested in joining?" Jennifer asked, her voice small.

Olissa hesitated for a moment, her gaze drifting to Breaton before responding. "I'm not sure, Aunt Jennifer. I'm more concerned about the safety of my children and Breaton's well-being right now. Also, my mother is the leader of the Coven of Lock-Loopers, and I am her only daughter. If I defect from her, she may hunt me down." She said fearfully.

"Dear child, you don't need to worry about your mother. I will deal with her," Jennifer replled with a sneer.

"Okay, Aunt Jennifer, I will trust in you." Olissa said with a small smile.

"Now then, you two need to be trained," Gus said, pointing a finger at Buveur and Breaton. He continued, "At your current level, you would be annihilated by Fi-Six and his demon, Elise."

"You're right. I fought against one of his lower-level demons and I was overpowered, but I believe that if I had one month, I could match him," Buveur said with a sigh.

"Arcadian, you will be in charge of training Buveur. As for you, Breaton, how do you feel about ninjas?" Gus asked.

"Wait, you have ninjas here? That's awesome," Breaton said excitedly.

Gus smiled. "I will have Jack train you. In one month, I will have a rescue team ready to save Merry."
