"Can you heal him?" Selena asked, staring at the sleeping Rufus through the glass door.
"Officer, you need to calm down first." Elijah tapped at the glass panel, watching how the shadows inside twisted around the guy.
"It isn't something that can be healed now. We need to destroy the thing that cursed him before Rufus goes completely mad."
Selena wanted to curse the stringent process of the Church. Until now, there had been no news from their side.
"Only if they had sent the priest earlier," she muttered under her breath.
"They are busy." Elijah gave Selena his full attention, or at least tried to.
Honestly, it was hard when Alexei was narrowing his eyes at Rufus as if trying to see something. The boy was acting like Elijah.
Elijah, speechless at his actions, decided to ignore it all.
"Busy?" Selena snapped, her fist rattling the glass. "There is someone dying, and they are busy? With what? Fucking praying?"
