Chapter 34 - Onyi's pain

Chapter 34 writer's POV

The rain poured down like a relentless curtain, shrouding the world in a misty veil. Onyi stood in the dimly lit room, his heart heavy with the weight of tomorrow's departure. He had been waiting for Amanda, expecting her to come to him one last time before she left for the Red Wolf pack.

But as the minutes ticked by, Amanda didn't appear. Onyi's anxiety grew, his mind racing with thoughts of their impending separation. He tried to shake off the feeling, telling himself that she would come, that she wouldn't leave without saying goodbye.

But as the hours passed, the silence was oppressive. Onyi's calls to her phone went unanswered, and he began to feel a creeping sense of dread. Suddenly, he heard the sound of a car engine roaring to life outside. He rushed to the window, his heart sinking as he saw Amanda's car pulling away from the mansion.

Onyi's eyes widened in horror as he realized that Amanda had left without telling him. He felt a wave of pain wash over him, his heart shattering into a million pieces. He didn't understand why she had left without saying goodbye.

Without thinking, Onyi ran out of the room, dashing through the corridors and out into the rain-soaked night. He sprinted after Amanda's car, his feet pounding the wet pavement as he tried to catch up.

"Amanda! Stop! Please don't go!" Onyi screamed, his voice hoarse with desperation. "Amanda, come back! I love you!"

But Amanda's car didn't slow down. It sped away, leaving Onyi running in its wake. He chased after it, his legs pumping furiously as he shouted her name again and again.

"Amanda! Amanda, stop! Don't leave me! I'll do anything, just come back!"

But it was too late. The car disappeared into the darkness, leaving Onyi standing alone in the pouring rain. He stumbled to a stop, his body shaking with sobs as he realized that Amanda was gone.

The guards rushed towards him, concern etched on their faces. "Onyi, come back inside," one of them said, trying to grab his arm.

But Onyi shook them off, his eyes fixed on the spot where Amanda's car had disappeared. He felt like he was losing a part of himself, like his heart had been ripped out of his chest.

The rain pounded down on him, soaking through his clothes, but 19 year old didn't feel it. All he felt was the pain of Amanda's departure, the ache of her absence. He collapsed to the ground, his body wracked with sobs as he cried out in despair.

The guards tried to comfort him, but Onyi pushed them away. He knew that he had hurt Amanda, that his refusal to mate with her had driven her away. The realization was a crushing weight, a burden that he couldn't bear.

As the rain continued to fall, Onyi lay on the ground, his heart shattered into a million pieces. He knew that he had lost Amanda, that she was gone, and he didn't know if he could ever get her back. The thought was a dark abyss, a void that seemed to stretch out before him like an endless chasm. The young man passed out.
