Chapter 56 - CHAPTER 56: WHISPER IN THE RAIN

SCENE 1: šŸ“ The Folder in the Bag

It started simple.

Noah had left his backpack on Mek's rooftop spot. Mek, being the polite nosy cutie he is, went to return it.

But when he picked it up… a folder fell out.

Mek froze.

Inside were:

Surveillance photos of him and Pete

A copy of Pete's father's security badge

And… notes.

Detailed notes. About Mek.

> "TARGET: Mek Methasit

Emotional profile: Vulnerable. Resilient. Loyal.

Weakness: Pete."

Mek's breath hitched.

His hands trembled.

> "What the actual f—?"

---

SCENE 2: šŸŒ§ļø Confrontation in the Rain

Mek didn't wait.

He stormed through the courtyard in the pouring rain, finding Noah sitting under the covered benches like a damn fluffy romcom love interest.

But this wasn't sweet anymore.

> "Who the hell are you, Noah?"

Noah blinked. "Mek?"

Mek slammed the folder onto the table, papers flying.

> "You spying on me?! Were you sent?! By Pete's dad? Rose?!"

Noah stood, rain dripping down his face.

But this time, he didn't smile.

> "You weren't supposed to find that."

> "So it's true?!"

> "Yes. I work for him. Or… I did."

Mek's heart shattered in slow motion.

> "So all of this—your rooftop moments, the hoodie, the coffee—was fake?!"

Noah:

> "At first, yes. But now… Mek, I fell for you. That was never the plan."

Mek:

> "Then un-fall. I'm not a mission."

He walked away, soaked and shaking—but not broken.

---

SCENE 3: 🄶 Pete Finds Out

Pete stormed into his father's office.

> "You planted a guy to spy on him?!"

Pete's father:

> "You were losing him. I wanted to show you his true face."

Pete:

> "You showed me yours instead."

He slammed the door so hard it rattled the frame.

---

SCENE 4: šŸŒ™ Mek's Journal Entry

> "I trusted someone again. And they used me again."

"But this time… I'm not going to cry. I'm going to survive."

> "Pete… you were my weakness. But now… I'll be my own strength."
