Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Shame of the Uchiha and the King of the Overachievers

Early in the morning, after a long night of excitement, Hyuga Satoru struggled to get out of bed and head to the ninja school.

He had been so excited about awakening his electromagnetism that he barely slept at all. As a result, his Byakugan eyes had transformed into panda eyes, with the white pupils surrounded by dark circles, resembling a sandwich cookie.

"Hey! Satoru, why do you look so tired today?"

The curious Red Bean looked at him, munching on a glutinous rice ball.

"I'm fine."

Red Bean thought for a moment and then suddenly leaned in closer, whispering, "Satoru, what did you mean by 'live to see the conclusion' yesterday?"

Satoru paused, thinking before answering, "It's something amazing."

"Ah!" Seeing that Satoru wasn't going to elaborate further, Red Bean pouted and didn't press on.

Looking at the colorful rice ball in Red Bean's hand, Satoru's mind flashed to a scene of her turning into a sweet potato decades from now, and a wave of discomfort washed over him. Although Red Bean wasn't the most beautiful now, she was certainly cute. How did she end up as an old auntie in the future?

"By the way, let me remind you, eat fewer rice balls."

"Why?" Red Bean bit into her rice ball and glanced at Satoru. "Will it stop me from living to see the conclusion?"

Satoru thought for a moment and replied, "It might be better if you don't."

Red Bean: ???

Just as Red Bean was about to speak, someone in the class shouted, "The homeroom teacher's here!" Instantly, the previously chaotic classroom fell silent, and everyone straightened up and sat still.

Fujino Daiki, holding a textbook, walked to the podium, smiling as he announced, "Class, today's morning lesson will focus on theory, while this afternoon we will have practical lessons on shuriken throwing. I hope everyone takes it seriously."

Shuriken throwing? Satoru's brow furrowed. This was the perfect opportunity to test his control over electromagnetism with shuriken. He had been practicing with kitchen tools all night.

"Class, now turn to Chapter 1, Section 3 of your textbooks, 'The Legacy of the Will of Fire,' and we will continue from where we left off yesterday."

"Okay..."

As soon as Satoru saw the analysis of the Will of Fire on the textbook, he began to feel drowsy. Deciding to take a nap, he covered his head with the book and lay down on his desk.

Fujino Daiki, seeing this, twitched his eyelids in irritation. However, he seemed to remember something and shook his head slightly.

"As a branch family member of the Hyuga clan, if you don't work hard, the consequences will be quite dire."

He then glanced at another student in the class, a boy with bandages on his forehead and pure white eyes, who was staring at the textbook, looking very serious.

Fujino Daiki smiled slightly and said, "Compared to him, Iruka-kun is much more studious."

...

Sometime later, Satoru stretched out his arms with a yawn, feeling completely refreshed. Unlike the usual weakness he felt after waking up, he now felt full of energy.

Satoru thought for a moment. Could it be that his electromagnetism had adjusted his biological magnetic field while he was resting, allowing his body to recover faster?

Although he still couldn't control his biological magnetic field actively, once his electromagnetism reached a higher level, he might be able to regulate it, enhancing his vitality to the point where his body would recover as quickly as the First Hokage's.

...

In the afternoon, Fujino Daiki led the students to the training field to begin shuriken throwing lessons, including wrist power, throwing techniques, and more.

Satoru noticed that most of the children from the clan seemed absent-minded, while the civilian-born children were listening with rapt attention.

This was because the children from the clan had usually undergone training from their elders before entering school, while the civilian children struggled to get access to this knowledge, starting off at a clear disadvantage.

No matter the era, civilians are always the most expendable, Satoru thought.

Despite it being the first day, some of the students already had impressive chakra reserves, and their biological magnetic fields were much stronger. In comparison, the civilian students were like fireflies.

The one with the strongest biological magnetic field was at the front—Satoru glanced at the white-haired boy and furrowed his brow.

"Kakashi Hatake... His biological magnetic field is already so strong, he probably has chakra levels close to a Genin. No wonder he's the genius who became a Jonin at twelve."

"Alright, the explanation is over," Fujino Daiki clapped his hands. "Now, it's time for throwing practice. I'll be recording your scores. First up, Chūmei."

"Yes."

A black-haired girl, looking somewhat shy, responded and walked to Fujino Daiki's side. A wooden target was placed about ten meters in front of her, with a bamboo basket full of shuriken beside it.

Chūmei picked up a shuriken, recalled Fujino Daiki's earlier instructions, and threw it hard at the wooden target.

Clang!

The shuriken hit the outer ring.

"Six points, not bad."

Chūmei threw a few more.

"Five, six, seven..."

Fujino Daiki nodded. "Good, next."

Satoru watched the shuriken throwing carefully. He subtly moved his fingers, and several shuriken in the bamboo basket started to tremble slightly.

"The shuriken is very light. According to Newton's second law, acceleration is inversely proportional to mass. This should be much easier to control than a kitchen knife," Satoru mused.

Just then, a sudden exclamation rang out from the crowd.

"Oh my god, how did he do that?"

Satoru turned to look, and saw Kakashi holding several shuriken in each hand. He threw them simultaneously, with fluid, uninterrupted movements, and all of them hit the bullseye.

"Wow, that's amazing!"

"A genius, is he?"

...

Fujino Daiki smiled and nodded. "His basic skills are solid. His shuriken throwing technique is already on par with an average Genin. He truly is the son of the White Fang."

"Kakashi Hatake, full marks. Next."

"I'm next," said a voice, and from the crowd, a black-haired girl with long hair suddenly leaped out and reached the spot where Kakashi had thrown his shuriken. She, too, threw them with fluid, seamless movements, all of them hitting the bullseye.

"Impressive, just like the Uchiha clan. Uchiha Rin, full marks!" Fujino Daiki said with satisfaction.

Do they have to be this competitive?

Satoru's eyelids twitched.

Uchiha Rin had already become the "King of Overachievers" in his eyes.

In his previous life, he'd had enough of those overachievers, and now he found another one in the world of Naruto.

Uchiha Rin gave Kakashi a cold glance before walking to her position. Beside her, Obito excitedly shouted.

"Hey, Kakashi, did you see that? This is the power of the Uchiha clan! Just wait! I will defeat you for sure!"

Kakashi completely ignored him.

Satoru looked at Obito in silence, while the others stared at him like he was an idiot. Who could have guessed that this person would grow up to be the future big boss?

"Next, Uchiha Obito."

"It's my turn," Obito said excitedly, walking to the front. "Let me show you all my strength! I've been secretly training my shuriken throwing skills for a long time."

Clearly, Rin's performance had greatly boosted his confidence.

He picked up a shuriken, threw it with all his might, but to everyone's surprise, it completely missed the target.

"Off target. Zero points," Fujino Daiki said weakly.

"I don't believe it! That was just a mistake! It must have been a fluke!" Obito frantically threw another shuriken, only for it to miss again.

"Zero points," Fujino Daiki sighed.

Kakashi glanced at Obito before immediately turning his gaze elsewhere.

Rin helplessly glanced at him, almost curling her toes in frustration.

Her expression seemed to say, "Don't look at me, don't look at me, I'm not related to him."

"That was a mistake! A mistake! This isn't my level!" Obito shouted, throwing another shuriken.

"Zero points..."

Throwing again.

"Zero points..."

"Hahaha..."

The laughter around him was thunderous.

Obito's face turned bright red, and he looked like an overinflated chili pepper, his teeth grinding together.

"I refuse to believe this!"

He threw his last shuriken with all his might.

Clang!

The shuriken hit the center of the target.

The air suddenly went quiet.

Obito froze for a moment, then burst out laughing.

"I told you it was just a mistake earlier! This is my true strength! Did you all see that?"

He turned around, only to see everyone looking at him like he was a fool. Rin sighed deeply, covering her face with her hand, thinking that perhaps for the sake of the Uchiha clan's reputation, they should eliminate him in advance.

"You... What are you all doing? I clearly hit the bullseye!" Obito mumbled, confused.

Fujino Daiki weakly responded, "Obito, take a better look."

Obito turned around, his eyelids twitching, his mouth dropping open in shock.

"This... how is this possible?"

He had missed the target and instead hit a different group's target, several meters away. The student holding the shuriken, completely bewildered, stared at him.

In the corner, Satoru couldn't help but smile.
