Chapter 1 - Prologue

Space was dark and quiet.

A broken Saiyan space pod drifted through the stars. Its metal surface was scratched and covered in space dust. The controls had stopped working long ago. Now it just floated wherever space pushed it, carrying its sleeping passenger.

Inside the pod, the life support machine was almost dead. A small green light blinked weakly, then went dark.

The boy inside barely breathed.

Broly had been floating in space for years. His body had become thin and weak. His powerful heart beat so slowly it was almost silent.

Then he died.

But someone else woke up.

The eyes that opened weren't really Broly's eyes anymore. They belonged to someone new - a regular guy from Earth who had loved watching Dragon Ball shows. He couldn't remember how he died. Just a bright flash, then nothing.

Now he was here, trapped in this huge, heavy body that didn't feel like his own.

His thoughts moved slowly. He was so hungry and confused. Then the pod started shaking.

Earth's gravity pulled the pod down through the sky. It glowed red-hot like a falling star. People on a small island below looked up and saw the burning light crash into the ocean.

Most thought it was just a meteor. But one old fisherman knew better.

"That's not a star," he whispered. "That's trouble."

The pod hit the ground hard. Trees fell. Rocks broke apart. Smoke rose high into the air. The whole island shook.

In the smoking crater, the pod door cracked open.

A big hand reached out, shaking.

The person inside fell onto the dirt. He was huge, with long black hair and a monkey tail wrapped around his waist. His breathing was weak and painful.

He groaned - the first sound he'd made.

His throat was dry, his muscles hurt, and his stomach felt empty.

His eyes opened. They were green.

He looked up at the trees and sunlight. For a moment, he couldn't move.

Then he remembered everything.

Dragon Ball. Goku. Vegeta. The shows he used to watch.

Broly.

This wasn't his body.

He forced himself to sit up. Everything hurt, but he had to do it.

This was real. He was inside Broly's body - the Legendary Super Saiyan.

But something was wrong. Broly should be incredibly strong, but right now he could barely move. This body had been starving in that pod for years.

He put his hand on his chest and felt his heart beating slowly but powerfully.

He was alive, but just barely.

He crawled to a tree and leaned against it. Looking around, he saw jungle everywhere. He could hear birds and ocean waves. No people nearby.

That was good.

If Goku was already on Earth, then there were strong fighters who might sense his energy. He couldn't let them find him yet - not like this.

Even weak, he could feel wild power inside him. Like a sleeping volcano.

He stood up slowly. His legs hurt, but he stayed standing.

He walked to a stream nearby.

His reflection stared back - the same wild face from the movies. The same scary green eyes. This was definitely Broly's body.

But his mind was different.

He started walking. Each step hurt, but he needed food and shelter.

He was completely alone.

This was day one of his new life as the Legendary Super Saiyan.

No crowd watching. No father to help him. No enemies to fight.

Just a broken body, a crashed pod, and a regular guy trying to control the monster inside.
