She could already see the plan forming in her mind as she calculated the various ways she could do this. The various ways she could try and take down this Juggernaut.
The first was to just hit a weak point in the armor. She would first peek out and aim with her sniper. The best spots would be a joint. Like the ankles, wrists, or elbows. Unfortunately all of those spots were armored on a Juggernaut and a large part of the reason they were so slow. But the real problem with this plan was that as soon as she peeked out she would get pelted with bullets from their light machine gun. So that plan was scrapped.
She could toss some explosives and blow them up. But then it might at most injure them and would not completely stop them. In order for the explosive to work for sure you would have to shove it under their armor. Unfortunately she would die if she got too close without first creating a distraction. Then there was the small issue that she had no explosives on hand to use in the first place. Another useless plan.
She could stab them… never mind that would not work. She first had to get close and then she would have to hit a weak point in the armor. That would be next to impossible to do. There was no for sure weak point in the armor… unless there was?
Next up, she could set up the kitchen to explode when the Juggernaut walked in. It would take a bit of tinkering but she could definitely do that. It would not be the first time she rigged a kitchen to explode.
She looked up at the counter and frowned before scrapping the plan.
This apartment had electrical stoves not gas stoves. There was no for sure way to blow up the kitchen in such a short amount of time. Especially without gas.
The next plan. She could tackle them out of the building. The juggernaut would definitely be injured and put out of commission. But she would probably end up dead. She did not want to risk her life, especially since this was not one of those do or die situations.
She could surrender. But there is no way she would be treated kindly. Especially with how many of their friends she had killed. At best they would kill her. But in the worst situation they kept her around as a play thing and she began wishing she was dead.
She needed a way to take down this Juggernaut without risking her life. She looked over and saw a pot that had flown out of the kitchen. It had probably flown over there because of the explosion from the suicide track suit. Through the shiny reflection of the pot she saw the juggernaut and an idea hit her. She could do that.
It started as a party trick but she was actually pretty good at it. She would have to first create an opening and set things up. So she pulled out her throwing knives and positioned herself near the edge of the kitchen counter. She then leaned out from behind cover.
She barely had a second to throw them before ducking back behind cover as the kitchen counter was pelted with more bullets. She then backed up slightly and watched through a reflection the doorway that leads into the apartment.
Seconds passed as she waited with her sniper pointed. Then as the thumping of the juggernaut's footsteps approached she tensed up and steadied her sniper. Then she watched as the head of the juggernaut came into view of the reflections she was looking through.
Coin then fired and the bullet flew right toward one of the throwing knives she threw earlier. She had peaked out from cover and thrown two. One landed on the door frame at the juggernaut's head height, the other was a distraction and hit the juggernaut in the chest.
The bullet flew through the air and slammed into the side of the knife. It then ricocheted to the side and hit the juggernaut in the side of the helmet. Then a moment later as the juggernaut staggered and looked to the side while drawing the shotgun. Coin moved around the kitchen counter and then jumped onto the juggernaut's back while stabbing an additional knife down into the side of the juggernaut's neck.
She managed to get a weak spot because the juggernaut seemed to freeze before it quickly brought the shotgun up. Probably in an attempt to shoot her. But Coin just pushed the pistol into their neck and fired several rounds as she ducked down.
There was a loud gunshot as the shotgun went off. She had ducked just in time as the roof was torn apart by the buckshot. She then dove to the side as the juggernaut began collapsing and unleashed several shots in her direction before collapsing and dying.
Coin waited a minute as she could hear their gasping and coughing as they died. Then she climbed up and grabbed her sniper before moving back to the office and assessing the situation.
The fight had already died down. There were a few enemies left but it looked like police were only working on recovering survivors. She looked out and saw the officer they first talked to when they arrived.
Coin waved her hand and whistled to get their attention. When he looked up she called out to him. "They have a spot you can set up at. Send some people in to hold it." The man gave a handwave in response before walking over to what looked like a gathering of higher ranking agents and officers.
Coin then walked over and sat in a chair next to Vicki Vale, "now then. We were in the middle of an interview I believe. Do you want to continue?"
Vicki Vale slowly looked at her before shaking her head. She was clearly in no condition to do anything.
