Chapter 7 - The golden prince...

"Your Eminence, it's the prince." Casel who had barely managed to get her wild emotions under control turned to Saquin and beamed.

Saquin returned her enthusiasm with a cold stare.

He had no idea who this Prince was, and even if he did he doubted he would have cared. To him, all noblemen are the same, big or small, he would rather not interact with them. They were bornin different worlds after all.

He had received freedom, but only a fool would think that makes him of the same level in society as them. He might be stronger, but so what? He was still a lot weaker than some basics servants in their family.

He shall not be deferential towards them not Lord over them. A neutral stance was what he would go for.

I treat you as you treat me.

Saquin reevaluated his entire view and created a guide for his character in this powerful world of the Empowered.

Casel, who was the recipient of Saquin's cold stare, did not realize that Saquin was in his own world.

She stood frozen to the spot out of fear.

Cold sweat dripped down her back. She could tell she had made a mistake.

Prince Greader was a prince of an empire in the human race. But there are also other stations that rival and even surpasses it. Not to talk of the fact that genius of the Star-Class and above won't necessarily defer to others no matter the status, especially when in the Empowered Trial.

Saquin in front of her was definitely of the Pinnacle level. The prince was rumored to be of the same level, Saquin had no reason whatsoever to defer to him.

His background should also be just as powerful. And considering she did not know of him before, they most probably be a mysterious or underground faction.

"I am sorry for my outbursts Your Eminence." Casel apologized quickly.

"Oh, no need to apologize." Saquin was taken back by her sudden apology. She also seemed sacred. "I suppose the golden prince is somewhat of your idol. So your reaction is quite normal."

"Yes, Your Eminence. His highness, the prince, had been a idol of mine since I was little." Casel affirmed.

Her mind was in chaos however.

'Golden Prince? Calling him that... It means they should be of equal status.'

She was now torn.

With Saquin being of equal status as the prince, it means he would most likely create a party of his own.

By then, who should she follow?

Saquin, who she already knew and had high a chance of joining his party?

Or.

The prince, who she regards as her idol?

Just then.

"Well then, since the prince is your idol, why don't we go pay him a visit?" Saquin's voice drifted to her ears.

"What?!" Casel opened her eyes wide.

"Yea. Let's go. We can join the party too. It is the only one available after all." Saquin said as he started walking towards the base.

"What?!" Casel stood frozen.

Then it clicked.

"Wait for me, Your Eminence." She ran after him as a smile bloomed on her face.

'He is planning on joining the prince party... I don't have to pick a side... Most importantly, I can see the prince...'

A giggle escaped her as she skipped by Saquin's side.

"Of course, joining shall be dependent on the prince's behavior."

Saquin's statement doused a bucket of cold water over her. But she soon recovered, there was no way the prince would reject the help of a fellow Late Arrival. Especially someone as strong as Saquin.

They soon passed through the gate of the Ruined Silver City and entered into its main ground.

Saquin took in the sight.

The Silver City was strangely not silver in color. In fact there was not a single silver in sight.

The city was pure black.

All buildings, with none passing the fourth story level, were all black in color with most of them being half destroyed.

Saquin could feel a call from deep in the city.

'My building?'

Saquin guessed.

He then continued to survey the city.

His eyes landed on the only building that exceeded the four story level.

'That spire.'

A pitch black conical building stood in the middle of the city.

"The prince is probably at the center building." Casel told Saquin.

"Hmm, let's get going." Saquin nodded at her.

Saquin and the trio started another round of walking. This time through a city rather than a forest.

Occasionally, Saquin could see a few candidates going to and fro in the city. Most of them would come over to pay respect to Casel.

Through this, Saquin discovered that Casel, as the one with the greatest background, was the ruler of the city. Well, till the prince came along.

Not long after, Saquin and the trio arrived at the heart of the city.

The center of the city was occupied by the tall center building which was the command base of the city. Away from it, unoccupied land stretched for what Saquin could conclude to be a street worth.

There were five mansions just outside this unoccupied land.

The five mansions were three story each and had more compound space than five other similar buildings in the city.

The mansions were numbered one to five.

Saquin could feel that the mansion numbered one was his.

"Your Eminence, my mansion is the fifth." Casel saw Saquin checking out the mansions. "Your Eminence, if you don't mind. Which mansion was assigned to you?"

"One." Saquin replied flatly.

"Huh?" Casel blinked.

Saquin paid her no mind and walked towards the center building.

The building entrance was guarded by two Grade Zero candidates.

"Miss Casel." The two candidates smiled as soon as they saw Casel. To Saquin they maintained a deferential attitude. The fact Casel walked behind him, him still being null rank, and his cold but powerful aura, it was easy to guess he was an influential Late Arrival.

"The prince is inside. He has been expecting you." One of the guards told Casel as the other opened the door to the building.

Casel nodded as she waited for Saquin to enter first.

Through the door was a huge hall. The hall was pitch black illuminated by multiple torches that seen to be able to burn forever. Multiple writings filled the hall, to which Saquin understood none.

At the center of the hall was a conference setting. A huge fifteen meters long table flanked by ten seats. Four by each side, two at the opposite ends.

There were three people present.

On the left side sat a lady. She was dressed in light armour just like Zeta, the difference being the color. The lady was a waking parade of purple. Her eyes, hair, cloth, lips, they were all purple. And it was a beautiful sight.

On the right side sat another lady. Her red dreads were tied up showing her glorious neck tattoo. She was clad in a simple black gown, two short swords strapped to her hips. Her fiery red eyes were glued on the newcomers.

The last of them sat on a lead chair. He radiated a brilliant feeling. White hair with golden strands flowed down his shoulder gently as they highlighted the man's beautiful face. His golden ringed black eyes was the last piece in his near perfect face.

An introduction was not needed.

The Golden Prince, Prince Greader Rimfrar.
