John woke up Sunday morning and got out of bed. He walked into his closet and picked out some clothes before he went into the bathroom. John took a quick shower before he dried off and put on his clothes.
John fixed his hair before he walked out of the bathroom and walked down the hall to the living room. John spawned some breakfast, sausage, scrambled egg, and hash browns. John ate his food before he walked out his front door holding a cup of coffee.
John looked at his car and saw that it had gotten quite dusty. John said, "I should give my baby a wash." John stood up and walked over to his garage before he lifted it by hand. John grabbed a hose and some soap, then he walked back out and connected the hose to the spout. John was about to start washing his car when he saw Mike riding his bike.
John shouted, "Hey, Mike." Mike looked over and saw John waving at him, so he started riding over. Less than a minute later, Mike was in front of John.
Mike said, "What's up, John?"
John asked, "Want to wash my car for me?"
Mike said, "Not really, I am going over to Dustin's house."
John said, "I'll give you 10 bucks."
Mike said, "Really? Okay." John handed him the hose and soap before he went back inside his house and grabbed a book. John started to read, while he waited for Mike to finish.
Meanwhile, Nancy and Karen had seen Mike stop in front of John. They watched as Mike and John talked for a second before Mike took a hose and soap from John. They watched as John walked into the house while Mike began to wash John's car.
Karen said, "Honey! Mike just got his first job."
Ted said lazily, "That's great." Karen sighed and went into the bathroom to take a bubble bath.
Nancy had watched Mike's encounter with Johnas well. She said, "Dammit Mike, you just had to pass by him. John was about to wash his car and get wet. He might have even taken off his shirt."
When Mike finished washing John's car, he wiped the car down with a soft cloth. Then he walked to John's front door. Mike knocked on the door before he walked into the house. Mike was surprised when he saw the inside of John's house. Mike looked around some and saw some expensive looking paintings and other cool sculpture, there were also some potted plants around the room.
Mike was in a daze and didn't notice John arrive in front of him. John said, "Like my crib, Mike?"
Mike said, "Uh-huh."
John said, "You finished pretty quickly. Here." John handed Mike a 10-dollar bill before he walked out of the house. Mike followed behind him holding the money in his hands. John looked at his car and saw that the racing yellow car was shining.
John said, "Good job." John patted Mike's shoulder.
Suddenly, John thought of something, "Hey, Mike. How would you like to wash my car every Sunday and I'll give you 10 dollars each time?"
Mike said, "Okay." Mike then got on his bike and started to speed away to Dustin's house. When Mike arrived, he burst through the front door and ran straight to Dustin's room. Mike saw his friend sitting around and listening to music while they waited. When they saw John, Lucas said, "What the hell Mike, you're 20 minutes late."
Mike said, "I know, but look." Mike showed the money, he took out of his pocket."
Will said, "Wow, 10 dollars."
Dustin said, "Where did you get it?"
Mike said, "I was riding past John's house and he stopped me. I went over to him, and he asked me to wash his car and when I finished, he gave me 10 dollars."
Lucas said, "Wow."
Dustin said, "What are you gonna do with it?"
Mike said, "I don't know. There was that expensive Death star Model we wanted to build."
Will said, "But that Model was 80 dollars?"
Mike said, "John said I could come over every Sunday and he would pay me 10 dollars to wash his car. I would have enough money in eight weeks."
Lucas said, "That will take forever. Did John need help with anything else?"
Mike said, "He didn't mention anything, but we could go over and ask him."
Dustin said, "What are we waiting for? Let's go." Everyone nodded before they ran out of the house and climbed onto their bikes. They sped towards John's house and made it just in time because John was walking out of his house and heading to his car.
John saw the kids charging over to him quickly, so he waited for them to stop in front of him. When they arrived in front of him, John asked, "What up, gang?"
They all started to talk at the same time and John honestly couldn't understand anything they were saying. John said, "I can't understand you if you all talk at the same time. Now one at a time."
The kids calmed down and quieted down. Mike said, "Is there any other things you want done around the house. We'll do it for you."
John said, "Why are you so excited for?"
Dustin said, "We want to get a Death Star Model kit."
John said, "Cool, I guess you could do some stuff for me."
Will said, "Just tell us what to do and we will get it done."
Lucas said, "Guaranteed."
John said, "Well, you could... Mow the lawn, sweep off the front porch, pull weeds, water the plants inside, pick up the sticks in the yard, and dust the whole house. You down?"
Mike said, "Yeah, we can do that. Right, guys?" The boys nodded.
John said, Alright, I'll be back in a couple hours. Think you can get it done by then?"
Lucas said, "Yeah."
John said, "Alright, here's the keys. The lawn mower is in the garage." John then got into his car and started to drive away.
Mike said, "Alright, let's get to work." All the boys immediately spread out and began to do the chores John had told them.
Meanwhile, John was driving to April's house. He was wondering how Lisa would greet him. John knew that April would tell Lisa about their "activities" last night. John arrived at April's house and parked in the driveway. John got out and walked up to the front door, John rang the doorbell.
Lisa answered the door, she said, "I heard about what you guys did last night."
John said, "Oh?"
Lisa said, "You better be good to her, or you'll definitely regret it." Lisa punched John in the stomach leaving him unfazed.
Lisa thought, 'His abs feel like a brick wall.'
John smiled and said, "Don't worry, Lisa." Lisa nodded. John rubbed Lisa hand for a while, relieving the pain. But soon Lisa pulled her hand away and led John inside. John walked inside and saw that some repairs had been down.
John said, "You didn't take long to get those repairs."
Lisa said, "Well, I was tired of seeing the problems all around." John nodded before he walked off to April's room. John knocked on the door before he walked into the room. John saw April sitting on her bed and reading a book.
When she saw John, she jumped out of bed and rushed forward giving John a big hug. John smiled as he wrapped his arms around April. John said, "Want to go out?"
April said happily, "Yeah." John and April walked out of her room holding hands. They walked into the living room and saw Lisa sitting on the couch.
Lisa said, "Where you guys going?"
John said, "Tour the town. I haven't seen much of this place."
Lisa said, "Well, I'll see you later then. Drive safe."
John nodded before he walked out of the house with April. John and April got into the car and John started to drive down main street. John parked his car on the side of the rode and got out of his car with April. Many people looked over at him and April as they got out of the car. They looked at the sexy car and couldn't help but exclaim.
John locked his car before he walked down the street holding hands with April. John looked around while they were walking down the street. April was telling John about the small shops and cool places. They walked into a couple stores and looked around for a while. They didn't really find anything they liked so they just continued to walk around aimlessly.
It had been a couple hours and they were getting hungry, so they walked to a diner they had seen on their little adventure. They walked inside and ordered some food. John ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a strawberry milkshake. April got a country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans.
John and April enjoyed their food in the lovely atmosphere of the diner. John shared his shake with April who gladly sipped on his straw. When they finished John walked out of the diner with April under his arm.
They started walking back to John's car and John said, "Want to come to my house?"
April said, "Sure, that will be cool." They reached the car and got in before John began to drive back to his house. About 10 minutes later, they arrived at John's house and John parked in the driveway. John got out of his car with April.
April said, "Why are those kids pulling weeds in your yard?"
John said, "They wanted to make some money to buy a toy, so I gave them some chores to do."
April said, "You're so nice, John."
John smiled and said, "I try my best." April nodded, then they began walking towards John's front door. John led April into his house, and she looked around curiously. John watched April walk around and observe the different painting and sculptures.
John walked behind her and said, "Do you like them?" April nodded as she continued to walk around. She walked through the rooms and looked around; the rooms were pretty empty. She eventually walked into John's office. April squealed in excitement as she looked at the huge bookshelves that lined the walls.
April walked over to the shelves and began to look at the many books. April said, "So many good books. You must like to read as well, John."
John smiled and said, "Yeah, I read some every day." April nodded as she looked at a book in her hand.
John said, "You can take any book you want, bunny."
April said, "Really."
John said, "Of course."
April said, "I definitely won't be shy then."
John said, "I hope you'll never be shy to ask me for anything."
April nodded and said, "Okay, I won't." John nodded as he moved closer to April and kissed her slowly. April kissed back as well and the atmosphere in the room became even warmer. They were suddenly interrupted when they heard the doorbell ring.
John said, "I'll go see. It is probably Mike and his little gang of misfits." April nodded as she looked down at the book in her hand. John walked out of his office and down the hall to the front door. John opened the door and saw Mike standing there with Lucas, Dustin and Will.
Mike said, "We finished, John."
John said, "Alright, I'll give you 45 dollars for all you've done. Is that fair?"
Mike said, "Fair, more than fair." The other boys nodded excitedly. John pulled out his wallet and saw that he only had 50- and 100-dollar bills.
John said, "I only have 50, so that will do." John handed them a fifty-dollar bill. John then closed the door as the kids looked at the money and cheered. John walked back to his office and saw April standing by the bookshelf and looking through some more books. John walked behind her and gave her a hug, causing her to jolt slightly.
April said, "Oh, John! You scared me. I didn't see you come in."
John smiled before he said, "Well, you were too focused on books."
April said, "Yeah, I go into my own world when I read books."
John said, "I see." John brought April over to his chair and sat down before he pulled her into his lap. John and April started to read the book, taking turns reading aloud. A couple hours of reading and many chapters being completed.
John said, "I think it's time to go back to your house."
April nodded before she said, "We can read like this again tomorrow, right? I like listening to your voice."
John said, "Yeah, we can do this every day if you want?"
April nodded her head, then she got off of John's lap and stood up. John got up behind her. They walked out of the office and walked to the front door. They put their shoes on before they walked outside and made their way to the car.
John could see in the corner of his vision, Nancy looking at them through her window at them. John got into the car with April, and they were off to April's house. John parked in the driveway and walked April to the door. He gave her a quick kiss that was interrupted by Lisa opening the door.
April walked inside, passing by Lisa. Lisa looked at John for a couple seconds as he walked to his car before she closed the door. She walked into the living room and saw April sitting there with a smile. Lisa asked, "So, what did you guys do?" She asked while she sat down beside April and turned toward her.
April said, "We went into town and looked around. I told John about the town and brought him inside some cool places. At lunch we went to a diner and got some food. Me and John shared a milkshake."
Lisa said, "Ah, how cute."
April nodded and continued, "Then we went to John's house, and I got to look all around."
Lisa said, "Wow, how was it there? Nice?"
April said, "It was really nice. John has a lot of paintings and sculptures. Oh, and he has some plants inside."
Lisa said, "His house sounds very nice."
April said, "That's not even the best part."
Lisa said, "Oh, really?"
April said, "Yeah, John has a big office with tons of books. Really good books too, I liked every book that I read there."
Lisa said, "Your own slice of heaven."
April said, "Yeah. I picked out a book, while John went out of the room."
Lisa asked, "What was he going to do?"
April answered, "He was paying some boys that came over to clean up around his house."
Lisa nodded and said, "Then what did you guys do."
April said, "John pulled me into his lap, and we sat in his leather chair reading a book together."
Lisa said, "That sounds really great. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself."
April said, "Yeah, today was a great day."
Lisa asked, "Did you and John do anything?"
April blushed and said, "We kissed a little, but that's all."
Lisa said, "Okay, well, let's have dinner. I made lasagna."
April cheered as she ran into the kitchen. Lisa followed behind her with a smile. Lisa thought, 'I guess I don't have to worry about John forcing April to do anything. I should still be a little warry, but I think John really cares about April.'
