Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Hey!

In the outer wall satellite space station of Heliopolis, two mobile suits engaged in a fierce pursuit. A single orange fighter MA was being chased by a silver-gray GINN.

"What's wrong? Mu La Flaga, are you going to get in my way again this time?"

"Tch, so you're the one who caused this situation, Rau Le Creuset, you bastard..."

"Say what you want, Mu. This operation is already more than halfway successful. You can't stop me anymore, heheh." Creuset chuckled twice, then piloted his custom GINN, Siegfried, into Heliopolis.

Mu quickly clung tightly behind Creuset, while constantly pondering the meaning of Creuset's words. His pupils suddenly began to contract.

"Damn it, could their objective be the new model? Stop right there, Creuset!"

"Already figured it out, Mu? But it's useless. I've already said, you can't stop me anymore. I've won this gamble, hahahahaha!" Creuset laughed maniacally, like a madman. Mu's face in the Moebius Zero was grim.

This communication interference was very likely for this purpose. One had to know that within Heliopolis, there wasn't just five new mobile suits, but another colossal object: the Archangel.

Due to the communication interference, they couldn't contact the inside of the colony. But Mu had basically guessed the situation from Creuset's laughter. More than halfway successful. That meant the five new MS were most likely already in their hands, or... the Archangel. In either case, the situation was terribly bad.

"Damn it, Creuset, that bastard..." Mu roared in anger, looking at the silver-gray GINN ahead, but quickly calmed down to pursue Siegfried. He deeply understood Creuset's terror; he was absolutely an out-and-out madman.

Creuset turned off his comms, sneering as he looked at the display showing the orange fighter MA desperately pursuing him from behind. A report from the Vesalius came through his earpiece.

"Have they seized four units already? Good. The data is in hand. The Earth Alliance Forces' last remaining unit will be destroyed by me. But... I have to shake him off first. Send two MS to support me."

"Yes!"

Like Mu, Creuset was also aware of the threat Mu posed. Now, he had to deal with Mu first before he could pursue the last remaining Gundam. So the two began to battle in the colony's perimeter channel.

On the other side, Mikazuki sat on Barbatos, watching Strike, which was being equipped with various green cannon armaments from its transport vehicle.

"Orga, those are beam weapons, right?"

Orga didn't respond immediately. Instead, he sent the data he had analyzed from Strike's cannon armament to Mikazuki through the Alaya-Vijnana System, giving Mikazuki a general understanding of Strike's weapons.

Similar to the bird he encountered on Mars, Barbatos's nanolaminate armor could negate beam weapons. In other words, it was the opposite of Strike's Phase Shift Armor. Mikazuki sat in the cockpit, diligently guarding Strike. For him, any job was worth taking seriously.

Meanwhile, Kira, though reluctant, still piloted Strike to change its equipment. Before changing equipment, he continuously called out on the communication channel Murrue had given him. "This is X105-Strike Gundam, Earth Alliance Forces... Respond if you receive, respond if you receive."

Kira sighed, then stood up and shouted to Murrue below, "No good! Can't connect. The electromagnetic interference is too severe."

Murrue had long expected this result, but she couldn't help but feel disappointed.

Just then, Mikazuki's voice rang out from Barbatos. "Need help?"

"Huh?"

Mikazuki said faintly, "Barbatos's communication system can help you contact your comrades."

"But... electromagnetic interference..." Mikazuki impatiently interrupted Murrue. "Alright, quickly tell me the channel. I'll call for you."

Murrue, with no other choice, informed Mikazuki of the Archangel's communication channel. She tapped the independent screen before her and spoke into the earpiece on her left ear.

"Hello? Can you hear me?"

On the Archangel, silently docked in the factory, the survivors, Lieutenant Commander Natarle Badgiruel and a few junior officers, were discussing countermeasures in the combat operations room. They also realized that ZAFT's surprise attack was probably for the new mobile suits. Now, they couldn't contact the outside, and simultaneously, the area around the Archangel was filled with rubble from explosions.

Natarle's face was filled with unwillingness at this moment. "We have no idea what the situation is with the new mobile suits. This is truly..."

Just as she was about to utter the word "terrible," the communication system rang.

"Hello? Can you hear me?"

Everyone in the combat operations room was stunned to hear this voice. Natarle, however, was the first to snap back to reality and quickly spoke into the microphone. "Who are you?"

"Oh, it's connected."

Mikazuki, on the ground, raised an eyebrow when he heard the response. Then he opened the cockpit and threw a spare earpiece towards Murrue.

"Here."

Murrue hastily caught the simple Tekkadan-style earpiece. She glanced at the young man on Barbatos, then placed the earpiece to her ear. Mikazuki's voice came through.

"I connected you."

"Ah, okay."

To be honest, she still couldn't believe Mikazuki could connect to the Archangel. After all, even Strike couldn't connect. But the voice she heard next made her expression stiffen.

"Hey, speak up, who are you?"
