Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Annoying Natarle

Mu, who had been the first to enter the Archangel's second deck, hurried over and smacked his lips as he looked at Kira, who was descending from the Strike Gundam.

"That was quite a... fierce battle."

"You are..."

Natarle whispered.

"He's the pilot of that Moebius Zero."

Mu smiled and saluted everyone.

"I am Lieutenant Mu La Flaga, Earth Alliance, Seventh Mobile Fleet. Nice to meet you all."

Muryu and Natarle returned the salute and introduced themselves to Mu. After both sides understood each other's unit affiliations and positions, Mu didn't beat around the bush and said directly,

"I request permission to board. May I ask, who is in charge of this battleship?"

Natarle and Muryu exchanged glances, then Natarle said in a low voice,

"All senior officers below the captain were killed in action. The current person in charge should be Lieutenant Ramius, the executive officer.

Only junior officers and dozens of crew members survived."

Muryu's shoulders drooped in disappointment. Although she had already guessed the heavy losses, she didn't expect so few people to remain.

Although they could operate the Archangel, there simply weren't enough personnel in charge of many areas.

Just then, Muryu's earpiece buzzed with Mikazuki's voice.

"Move aside, I'm landing."

Muryu turned and saw Barbatos, having retrieved its weapon, descending from the sky. She quickly waved people to move aside.

Boom!

The strong winds stirred up by the thrusters made everyone squint and cover their faces with their hands.

Barbatos landed on the deck and walked inward, stabilizing itself beside the Strike Gundam. Only after the wind died down did Muryu and the others, who had hidden to the side, approach Barbatos and look up to carefully examine the unruly mobile suit.

Natarle frowned as she looked at Barbatos, then asked Muryu,

"Lieutenant Ramius, what exactly is this mobile suit...?"

Muryu shook her head.

"This mobile suit seems to be called Barbatos. I don't know its origin; it wasn't in the plans.

But thankfully, its appearance helped me protect the Strike Gundam. Otherwise..."

"Then, the pilot..."

Just then, Mu spoke up.

"It's a child, right?"

"A child?"

Whoosh!

Barbatos bent its legs, and its chest cockpit opened, the seat rising. Mikazuki, who had just disengaged from the Alaya-Vijnana System, appeared before everyone's eyes.

Except for Muryu and Kira, everyone's mouths gaped open. That wild fighting style just now was actually controlled by a shirtless child. What kind of space joke was this?

Mikazuki put on a thin undershirt, picked up the jacket hanging on the side, and jumped off Barbatos, landing in front of everyone. He then said to Muryu,

"Can I have it back now? I only have two of those, they're spares."

"Ah, okay."

Muryu removed the earpiece from her left ear and handed it to Mikazuki. Mikazuki put it into his jacket pocket.

The head of the maintenance team couldn't help but blurt out in surprise when he saw Mikazuki,

"Really? Both mobile suit pilots are kids?"

"Hmm?"

Mikazuki glanced around and spoke,

"Who was it that ordered the missile launch just now?"

"Uh..."

Natarle was startled when Mikazuki brought that up, then she stepped forward and said,

"It was me."

"You? So it was you, the one who interfered."

Mikazuki looked coldly at Natarle.

Natarle felt baffled by Mikazuki's gaze, and her brows furrowed deeply upon hearing what the boy said.

"Interfered? Are you saying the support I provided just now interfered with you?"

"That's right, you were very annoying just now. You scared those guys away, and I missed one."

"What do you mean by that? If we hadn't provided support, you would have been surrounded by those three GINNs."

"No."

The one who responded to Natarle was not Mikazuki, but Mu.

"That's not how it is, Lieutenant Badgiruel."

Natarle grew a little angry, her face not looking good as she said,

"What do you mean by that, Lieutenant Flaga?"

Mu gave a wry smile, looking at the indifferent Mikazuki.

"This young man deliberately lured those three mobile suits to him and allowed them to surround him, making them mistakenly believe they had an opening."

"What? Deliberately?"

Natarle and the others were shocked. Muryu seemed to have guessed something and looked at Mikazuki in shock.

"Right, young man?"

Mu asked Mikazuki with a smile. Mikazuki shoved his hands into his pockets, closed his eyes, and answered indifferently,

"Ah, that's right."

Then Mu looked up at Barbatos again.

"Then there's no mistake. Considering this mobile suit's capabilities, along with this young man's superb piloting skills and reflexes, and finally, that absurd weapon.

The moment those three GINNs surrounded him, the young man could have swept through them, achieving the goal of eliminating three enemies in one strike.

But..."

"But, due to the Archangel's stern missiles appearing, the three GINNs were scared away..."

Natarle, distracted, finished Mu's sentence herself. The truth was exactly as Mikazuki said: she had interfered with a great opportunity to annihilate three enemies.

Mikazuki opened his eyes. Seeing Natarle, who looked as if her soul had been taken, his anger completely dissipated.

It was still the same sentiment: the person had run away, and besides, they meant well and wanted to help him, they just didn't understand his and Barbatos's abilities.

"The strongest one got away."

Mu's heart skipped a beat.

"Oh, young man, can you feel that guy's troublesome nature?"

Mikazuki popped a date into his mouth and said blandly,

"He gave me a very annoying feeling, just like some guys from Gjallarhorn."

"Gjallarhorn?"
