The cold man asked, “Who are you?”

The eight-year-old Sonny, his weary body falling to the ground, lifted his head and looked at the cold man, whose expression was unreadable, his silver hair falling across his shoulders, beautiful in the moonlight. 

“...My name is Sonny.”

The cold man lifted him into his arms and flew into the sky, taking him away from all he knew, his life forever changed.

Elder Zhen narrowed his eyes at his disruptive disciple, "Are you making things up?"


Sonny shakes his head. "No, why would I make something up like this?"


Elder Zhen's eyes remained cold, and he didn't show a hint of concern. "Simple, you can be looking for an excuse to escape the mess you just made."


Elder Zhen tilted his head. "What if he came into the cell and tried to question you about the demon fox you carried as a pet?"


Sonny pursed his lips. He wanted to argue, but he could see his master had made up his mind about him. Arguing any further would only make him more suspicious. 


Elder Zhen narrowed his eyes, "When did you have a demon pet like that?"


Elder Zhen walked closer to Sonny, making Sonny feel pressured and overwhelmed by the old man who was using his powers over him. 


Sonny had to lean his head against his chair and remain calm by taking deep breaths over and over.
