The man smiled, his yellow teeth emerging behind his lips, "Any heart can turn cruel when starved of love for too long."
Killian wanted to tell the old man to stop talking nonsense, but for some reason, his lips felt tongue-tied.
He asked. "What happens to the heart if it doesn't get the love it needs?"
The old man with his wrinkly eyes curves into a strange smile: "Life is full of mysteries. We'll just have to see, don't we?"
The man closed his eyes. Killian glanced at the man and turned away, heading toward the isolated cell.
He opened the door, and the room was dark, like the kind with no lights, not even the shadows or any moonlight.
But using light through the door, the light came on, and Killian entered the room, and a light gasp entered his mouth.
On the chair, Sonny was tied up with chairs around him like a criminal, and his neck fully reddened, and his eyes dim, but his thick black hair cloaked him like a black shadow.
