Chapter 4 - 4

The next day, a bus heading to Columbia University stopped at a street corner.

The door opened, and Ron stepped in, looking for a seat.

"Hey, look, isn't that Ron Blunstad, our school's so-called 'Tuberculosis Guy'? What, you went to the hospital yesterday and came out today? Why not stay a bit longer? Haha..."

Ron had only taken a few steps onto the bus when he heard an annoying, mocking voice.

The speaker was a big guy named Thompson, who was currently the boyfriend of Mary Jane, Spider-Man's future girlfriend.

Thompson was on the school's football team and often bullied weaker students like Ron and Peter Parker. In every Spider-Man movie, Peter was always picked on by Thompson.

However, Thompson only dared to talk smack to Ron; he never dared to physically lay a hand on him.

It wasn't because Ron could beat him, but because of Ron's cursed hereditary asthma.

Once, Thompson tried to hit Ron, but before they even started fighting, Ron spat on him, making Thompson furious.

Just as Thompson was about to continue, Ron told him that his spit had a high chance of transmitting tuberculosis, which scared Thompson into going to the school infirmary for a check-up.

Fortunately, the school later confirmed that Ron's cough was just hereditary asthma and not contagious, reassuring Thompson.

Despite this, Thompson remained somewhat afraid. After that, he would only verbally taunt Ron, never daring to physically assault him.

Ron once thought to himself, somewhat ironically, that his constantly cursed hereditary asthma could actually help protect him; it was quite dramatic.

Seeing Ron remain silent, Thompson burst into laughter. At the same time, Thompson winked at his buddy across from him.

Thompson's buddy was named Walker. Seeing Thompson wink, he immediately understood what Thompson meant.

He and Thompson exchanged a smiling nod, and then, as Ron approached, he suddenly stuck out his leg, intending to trip Ron just as he had tripped Spider-Man.

The moment Walker extended his leg, Ron's mental perception immediately sensed it.

Seeing Walker trying to trip him, Ron smirked. Did Walker think he would be tripped like Spider-Man?

Ron remembered that Spider-Man was tripped by Walker not only because Walker was quick, but also because Spider-Man was staring at his future girlfriend, Mary Jane, and wasn't paying attention to his feet.

But Ron wouldn't be fixated on Mary Jane like Spider-Man. To be honest, in Ron's aesthetic view, Spider-Man's girlfriend wasn't attractive at all.

Ron pretended not to see Walker's extended leg. He walked past normally, then, as he reached Walker's foot, he deliberately stepped heavily on it.

"Ah...!" Instantly, a piercing scream rang out.

In pain, Walker yelled a few times, then stood up and angrily walked towards Ron, "Ron, how dare you step on me, you tuberculosis guy! Didn't you see my foot sticking out?"

Sensing Walker charging at him with his mental powers, Ron turned and spread his hands innocently, saying, "Oh, I'm sorry, Walker. I didn't see your foot sticking out. I accidentally stepped on you. My apologies."

"No, you tuberculosis guy, you can't fool me! You clearly did it on purpose!" Walker yelled angrily, then raised his fist, ready to strike.

But his fist stopped halfway.

Walker realized that if he struck, Ron would surely spit on him, just as he had done to Thompson before.

Ron's cough was infamous at school. Although Ron's cough didn't seem to be actual tuberculosis, he still didn't dare risk infection to teach Ron a lesson.

"You tuberculosis guy, I won't stoop to your level!"

With a threatening look, he pointed an accusing finger at Ron from a distance, cursed, and then turned to walk back.

However, just as he took two steps, a small iron rod suddenly appeared in front of his heel, causing him to fall flat on his face, even knocking out two front teeth and leaving his mouth full of blood!

Walker cried out in pain again, then covered his mouth and scrambled up, looking angrily around: "Who... who dared to trip me?"

Everyone around him weakly shrank back and shook their heads, indicating it wasn't them.

Walker knew these people wouldn't dare to trip him. He thought it was Ron, so he turned to look at Ron behind him.

But Ron was at least a meter away from him. How could he trip him from that distance and make him fall?

"Walker, stop fooling around. You just accidentally tripped. Go back and sit down!"

At this moment, Thompson, who was holding Spider-Man's girlfriend, frowned and called his buddy Walker back.

He was sitting nearby and hadn't seen anyone stick out a foot to trip Walker. Walker really had just accidentally tripped himself.

Walker's face showed some grievance. He clearly felt a small object trip him, but he had looked, and there was nothing under his feet. How could he have been so clumsy as to trip himself? Someone must have tripped him!

But since Thompson said he hadn't seen anything, he couldn't say much more. Finally, he glared fiercely at Ron, then covered his mouth and returned to his seat.

Ron shrugged slightly at this and found an empty seat in the back.

Of course, Walker hadn't slipped on his own. Ron had used his mental abilities to create a small iron rod to trip Walker. After successfully tripping Walker, Ron made the small iron rod disappear, so how could Walker find what tripped him?

This ability, similar to materialization, was released by Ron using his mental power. As long as he thought of the name of an object or its general appearance, he could materialize that object directly, regardless of its principles, material formation, structure, or other factors, and the object would remain permanently!

This was the first ability Ron awakened as he recalled his cosmic memories. Ron named this ability — Fantasy Materialization!

This ability was somewhat similar to a skill of a character named Shirou from an anime Ron had watched in his previous life, both capable of materializing things out of thin air.

In the DC world next door to Marvel, there were also people with similar abilities, like the Green Lantern Corps who could materialize things out of thin air while traversing the universe.

However, the Green Lantern Corps materialized things using power rings, and Shirou projected items using his magical power, neither of which could exist permanently.

But anything Ron materialized with his ability could exist permanently. Moreover, the things he materialized were not just ordinary objects. At a certain level, Ron could even materialize the highest-tier Infinity Stones.

Of course, Ron's mental power was still very weak now. He couldn't directly materialize ultimate treasures like the Infinity Stones; it wasn't realistic.

As for some items in movies and TV shows, such as the pills in "Lucy" that could turn people into cosmic gods, the T-virus in "Resident Evil" that could give people superpowers, and other seemingly simple things that could grant abilities, Ron couldn't materialize them.

So he guessed that his materialization ability also had a limitation based on the potential consequences of the materialized item.

Currently, Ron's materialization ability could at most materialize a large stone or an iron rod. Combined with his mental perception, which had a range of about five meters around him, his ability was very weak.

This ability could be upgraded. As long as he slowly strengthened the strange black dot in his consciousness, his mental power would become stronger and stronger.

When the black dot in his consciousness grew to its limit, let alone the Infinity Stones, he could even materialize an entire universe.

And Ron, of course, gave this black dot a name: The Origin of Everything (Singularity)! Or simply, Origin... *cough cough*

Getting off track, this singularity was actually the initial form of a universe that Ron was re-cultivating. As long as Ron continuously strengthened this singularity and made it grow, it could eventually truly develop into a cosmic form, which is why this singularity was called the Origin of Everything!

Of course, besides Fantasy Materialization, Ron also had other abilities, such as being able to mentally sense his surroundings, lift objects with his mental power, and so on... When Walker tried to trip Ron with his foot and later rose to attack him, Ron discovered it using his mental perception!

However, Ron's mental power was somewhat different from Professor X's mental power and the Phoenix Force's telekinesis. His mental power was not merely pure mental power or telekinesis; it encompassed all powers related to the mind, almost omnipotent!

If it weren't for his current weak mental power, and the fact that 'mental power' sounded natural and familiar, his mental power could actually be called the All-Force, or even — the Primordial Force of the Universe!

This mental power was like the origin of the universe, containing everything within it.

Unfortunately, due to the demise of the universe Ron had embodied, his mental power was severely damaged. Now, his mental power was not only incomparable to Professor X's, but even enhanced Spider-Man might be on par with him.

Of course, mental power could be strengthened later on.

As for how to strengthen his mental power, Ron already had a plan.

The mutated spider that bit Spider-Man could strengthen his singularity ability, as well as his extremely weak body!

At this moment, a shout suddenly came from outside the bus!

"Hey, stop the bus."

"Hey, please, make him stop!"

Hearing this voice, Ron smiled slightly — it was Peter Parker's voice.
