Chapter 15 - 15

Ron played the role of the volatile Green Goblin for a while, turning the Osborn Industries lab into a junkyard before finally stopping.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Osborn, Dr. Smith, I didn't want this to happen. I just don't know why I couldn't control myself just now. It wasn't intentional..."

Then Ron came in front of Norman Osborn and Dr. Smith, spread his hands, and put on a very apologetic look, saying.

Although Ron seemed extremely volatile while destroying the lab, he acted as if he didn't see Norman and Dr. Smith, focusing only on the destruction. So Norman and Dr. Smith were only startled and not in any life-threatening danger.

Looking at Norman Osborn and Dr. Smith, who were still in a state of shock, Ron shook his head helplessly, then used his mental power to calm their uneasy hearts.

Then, Ron pointed to the trash on the ground and said to the recovered Norman and Dr. Smith, "These things... I don't have to pay for them, do I?"

Norman stared wide-eyed at the completely destroyed laboratory, his originally excited heart sinking heavily, becoming ashen.

"...It's over, everything is over, my Osborn Industries is over, everything is over..."

Norman Osborn became distraught. He clutched his head, muttering frantically.

Everything that had just happened told him that the human enhancement serum had failed completely, the Department of Defense order was ruined, and even his Osborn Industries empire was about to collapse... Norman had lost all confidence. He couldn't bear the outcome of losing Osborn Industries; it would be more painful than killing him.

Perhaps there was still a chance for the experiment to succeed, but he had failed too many times, and now the lab had been completely destroyed. The final deadline set by the Department of Defense was also approaching. Could there still be a chance for success?

Seeing Norman's appearance, Ron frowned slightly. This Norman Osborn was too weak; he didn't even have this much resilience?

If Norman Osborn's mentality was truly this weak, then it was a miracle that he managed to build Osborn Industries.

However, Norman Osborn did not disappoint Ron next.

After muttering distractedly for a while, Norman seemed to have thought of something and gradually calmed down.

Afterward, an apologetic expression appeared on Norman's face, and he said to Ron, "You've seen a spectacle, Ron. Of course, you don't have to pay for these damaged items..."

"Hmm..." Seeing Norman Osborn recover, Ron nodded, then deliberately asked Norman about the situation he had just faked, "Mr. Osborn, what exactly happened to me just now? I felt like I suddenly became irritable and wanted to destroy everything around me. What's going on?"

Norman Osborn smiled bitterly and began to explain to Ron.

"Ron, this is my fault, I apologize to you. The human enhancement serum we developed failed. The serum has side effects; it makes people irritable and violent, causing them to lose their minds..."

As he spoke, Norman's eyes suddenly sparkled. He stared at Ron, pleading with him in a very humble manner.

"Ron, the human enhancement serum has failed, and my Osborn Industries is about to collapse. Ron, you are so powerful now, you must help me, help me save Osborn Industries!"

"I can agree, Mr. Osborn!"

Ron frowned slightly. He thought for a moment and finally agreed to Norman Osborn.

After all, a large part of Norman Osborn's current misery was due to him. If it had followed the original timeline, Norman, after becoming the Green Goblin, would have died in his battle with Peter, but he would have at least preserved his Osborn Industries, passing it on to Harry, and allowing Osborn Industries to continue for a long time.

However, Norman's human enhancement serum still hadn't succeeded, and Norman hadn't become the Green Goblin, so Osborn Industries was already in a precarious state. Coupled with the fact that Norman's son, Harry, was one of Ron's few friends in this world, helping Norman Osborn was both reasonable and understandable.

"Ron, I just need you to help me destroy all the competitors' and the Department of Defense's trade items, so they can't complete their transactions with the Department of Defense. This way, my Osborn Industries can continue to survive!"

Norman stared at Ron, excitedly revealing his plan.

Yes, as long as he destroyed all of his competitors' trade items, the Department of Defense would have no one to trade with, and then they would have no reason to abandon their cooperation with Osborn Industries!

Hearing Norman's words, Ron shook his head inwardly, finding it a bit amusing.

Norman Osborn wanted him to truly become a supervillain, the Green Goblin, in the Marvel comic world!

Ron thought about Norman's proposal again, and in the end, he did not refuse; instead, he agreed.

Of course, Ron would only agree to Norman Osborn this one time.

Although Ron never considered himself a bad person, he also knew that he was definitely not a good person either.

Although the Marvel comic world is a modern society, it is still a place where strength is respected!

As long as you are strong enough, you can destroy everything.

Good people generally don't have good outcomes here, just like Peter's Uncle Ben, who kindly helped others only to be tragically shot and killed.

Of course, Ron also had a bottom line. If Norman Osborn truly intended to kill his competitors and Department of Defense personnel to protect his Osborn Industries, as in the original plot, Ron would certainly not agree.

"For the time being, let me be a villain with a bottom line..."

...Half an hour later, Ron, clad in a suit of armor and riding a glider, flew out of the Osborn Industries building with all of the original Green Goblin's equipment.

Of course, Ron did not wear the original Green Goblin's green armor; Ron didn't want to wear such a deeply symbolic color, so he changed into a black armor inside Osborn Industries before leaving.

In the following time, Ron went to several locations, smashing some laboratories, storage rooms, and other places with small pumpkin-like bombs, then departed gracefully.

It was late at night, and Ron had already scanned the places he intended to destroy with his mental power, confirming that no one was inside before he acted. Therefore, no lives were harmed; he merely destroyed the items that were in competition with Osborn Industries.

Before destroying these items, Ron also left a few samples. Then, he found a deserted area and spent some time disassembling the Green Goblin equipment Norman had given him, as well as the samples he had kept, into his mental energy, storing them in the singularity within his sea of consciousness.

This was a new ability Ron had gained after being able to observe a singularity ten meters in size, called "Item Mentalization!"

Ron could use his mental energy to completely break down an entire item into his mental energy, absorbing it into his singularity to become nourishment for its strengthening.

This method was much more effective than Ron's previous method of slowly absorbing mutated Venom and human enhancement serums with the singularity!

Moreover, after Ron used this ability to transform items into his mental energy, his illusion materialization ability could also materialize these items more easily.

After tidying everything up, Ron used telekinesis to once again soar into the sky, flying in the direction of his home...
