Morris's POV
Concern etched across Harris's features as he approached with a stern-looking man at his side. My stomach knotted instinctively—whatever news they brought couldn't be good.
"Morris, this is Inspector Novaes from Internal Affairs," Harris said, gesturing to his companion. "He's leading the investigation into your parents' accident."
The detective cleared his throat, his expression grave. "Mr. Lorenzo, I regret informing you that the helicopter crash wasn't an accident. Our investigation revealed intentional tampering with the tail rotor pedals in the cockpit. These connections were deliberately severed. The helicopter had just completed maintenance at the manufacturer and received flight clearance merely two days before. This was clearly sabotage." He paused, letting the information sink in. "I believe whoever orchestrated your family's kidnapping might also be behind the helicopter sabotage."
