Chapter 1 - My Ordinary Life

An ordinary student idly taps his pen against his work book his focus weaning from moment to moment his eyes slightly blurry from staying awake just last night doing who knows what.

"Hm.." he hums in thought the words on his book blending together his head giving a dull throbbing pain yet he persists glancing through the window his eyes do their best to adapt to the direct sunlight making him momentarily blind his sight is only pulled away by a light

*Ding*

With a smile striking across his face he glances back to his book and with a blink words and numbers appear before his very eyes

*Studying leveled up!!*

With nothing but a thought the notification that only he can see is swipped revealing

*studying skill level:7*

You see our great studious young man is not exactly normal he's in fact not even from this world.

His original name? Henry Smith a normal mudbloo-normal person fresh out of high school having nothing going for him

Henry just a week ago had died a very tragic death choking on his own vomit from partying getting out of his hell hole of a high school filled with nothing but disappointment and talent

At every turn Henry growing up was reminded of how ordinary he was he possessed no talents and almost no independent ego.

In games he would pass the ball in gambling he would play it safe his lack of confidence created a man that lived an easy yet boring life filled with nothing but others achieving their dreams while he watched on yet-all that changed a week ago.

Upon waking up in this body beyond any thought of terror and misery was a slight glimmer in hope maybe just maybe if he took it seriously this time he could actually make something of himself.

For the past week he had been studying and studying only his system not even a proper one granting him anything great just a chance to see his improvement.

"Well it is pretty good as motivation" he mutters dully yes this young man's life will surely be marked with actual talent with this system and the desperate need to become something he would surely become a top tier doctor or even businessma-

"SHIZZU YOU GOT SOMETHING IN THE MAILLL"

a shrill voice interrupts his thoughts and with a sigh he straightens his back drops his pen and wordlessly stands up stretching

"coming coming" he mutters strolling down the stairs towards the kitchen where thi-his mother stands a letter in her hand a grin touching her face

"Look sweet I know it's been hard but look I knew someone would notice your talent*

With a blink that gives way to his thoughtless mind he doesn't even register what she's said only taking the letter from her not even caring to see who or what sent it he rips it open and begins reading his tiredness instantly evaporating into a mix of dread and surprise

"T-this can't be..no way no no way" he mutters reading again and again yet two words stand out to him as if to refuse to give him this easy life of quiet study BLUE LOCK!

"see honey I told yo-"

the rest of her words fall onto deaf ears as sweat begins to drip down his face

'ill just ignore this letter I don't even need to go I can just continue my boring life to the top'

His thoughts spur on and on in that manner but with a glance he calls forth his status

Name:Shizukade taikutsu

Age:15

Skills:studying(lvl7) cleaning(lvl3) history(lvl6)maths(lvl5) passing(lvl3)

Shooting(lvl1) ball control(lvl2)

And there it is he had thought nothing of it a former hobby of the body he now possess one that would have to be given up to make sure he lands a great job but now it makes oh so much sense

'Shit i should have dug deeper online'

Idly his fingers drop the letter and as it begins its slow decent to the floor so two does his sanity

'Checking it out wouldn't hurt right? Just to see those cool anime characters I can just check it out and leave and continue studying'

Thoughts like these swim away in his head his mind already made up and as he slowly bends down to pick up the letter a spark one so small he doesn't even feel it runs through his body

'Just to see'

Is his lie his perfectly ordinary lie one so perfect he believes it.

He's going to Blue lock.

Win or lose doesn't matter.

He's going.
