Seraphina's POV
That night, I arrived home just as the sun was setting, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. The moment I stepped through the door, Albert greeted me with his usual warm smile. "Good evening, Madam. How was your first day at work?"
I couldn't help but grin. "It was amazing, Albert. Really amazing."
"I'm glad to hear that," he said, "Master will be pleased."
"Speaking of which," I said, glancing around. "Is he back?"
Albert nodded. "Yes, Madam. Master is in the study."
"Thank you, Albert."
I made my way upstairs, my heart beating a little faster with each step. There was so much I needed to tell Adrian—about the mysterious man, about the note, about everything.
When I reached the study door, I raised my hand to knock, but before my knuckles could touch the wood, his voice came from inside.
"Come in."
I blinked, surprised, and pushed the door open.
