Jin and Sylph continue their journey after a good night's rest. Jin never really went to sleep as he couldn't stop thinking of the symbol.
As the two were walking, Jin noticed a dark figure dart across the very edge of his vision.
"Hey Sylph, do any animals inhabit the lands outside of the Dragon Spirits?"
"Well, not that I can think of, but that isn't particularly reliable since no one ever comes up here."
How interesting.
Jin and Sylph continue walking. Sylph rambles about some random facts she can remember about the mountains.
"You know, Sylph, you are quite informed on this place."
"Well, I was always interested in Dragon Spirits. You're… I mean, their culture is just so interesting."
Jin doesn't say a word. His face remained still and unmoving.
"So, did you tag along to find the Dragon Spirits, or to get close to someone you thought was one of them?"
"Come on, Jin, it isn't like that!"
"Is that so?"
"Yes, that's exactly how it is! I came because I wanted to get out of my boring daily routine."
"So why didn't you try changing up the routine, or doing new things?"
"I am doing something new. Can't you tell? I'm going on an epic adventure. I get to see a side of the world I didn't know existed!"
"At least someone enjoys the observations made here."
Jin spots another dark figure moving at the corner of his eye.
This can't be a coincidence.
Some kind of patrol… which means we're close.
Jin and Sylph continue walking, Jin acts as tho he hasn't noticed anything so as not to indicate to the patrol that he knows about them.
Jin and Sylph walk up to the huge valley-looking area. A huge wall was built at the front of the valley.
"That seems like an entrance to an empire, Sylph."
"I would say so!"
In an instant, a group of four cloaked men appears.
Jin's hand reaches for his blade.
A flash of steel crosses over Jin.
Suddenly, there's a crack of pain.
The snow turns red.
As Jin slowly fades into unconsciousness, Jin hears the scratchy voice of one of the men say, "You, ma'am, will be sent to see the King."
The entire world goes black around Jin as the men take Sylph away into the walls.
