Chapter 35 - Chapter 25 – “Being a Rich Girl is Exhausting”

Han Yue blinked her eyes open at 8 a.m., only to groan and pull the covers back over her head.

"…So tired…" she mumbled, voice muffled in the pillow. "Shopping is so hard… how did those novel heroines make it look so effortless?"

She yawned, dragged herself up, and grabbed the soft little bundle beside her—Baby Bunny, who blinked drowsily before accepting a sleepy kiss on his fluffy head.

"Good morning, little one," Han Yue said with a giggle, rubbing her cheek against his. As she played with him lazily, she suddenly remembered—she hadn't posted the picture yet!

Pulling out her phone, she opened Weibo and uploaded the cutest snapshot from two days ago: Baby Bunny munching strawberries with both paws like a little glutton.

She captioned it:

"The baby loves strawberries 🍓❤️"

Satisfied, she closed her phone and was about to head down for breakfast when she saw a new message pop up from Long Yi.

Long Yi: "I'll be coming home tomorrow. Everything on Grandpa's end has been explained and the assets are being liquidated. He'll be moving in with me."

Han Yue: "Okay, see you tomorrow! 🐰 Little Zhihan is here with me. I'll play with him~"

Long Yi: "Alright. See you tomorrow"

Han Yue's cheeks warmed. "Hehe~ Long Yi's coming home tomorrow~" she whispered, feeling an extra burst of energy. She floated downstairs in a great mood.

At the breakfast table, Little Zhihan was already sitting properly, looking neat and clean in his new pajamas. His eyes kept drifting toward the fluffy baby bunny nibbling a carrot on the table. The sight made him fidget a little, as if he wasn't sure if he was allowed to look.

Han Yue chuckled. "You can touch her if you want~ Her name is Baby Bunny."

Zhihan's eyes widened in wonder. "She's so soft…"

Han Yue leaned closer with a mischievous grin. "I have to go out to work again. Can you help me take care of her today?"

Zhihan looked stunned, eyes going even rounder. "M-Me?"

She nodded. "Yes~ She likes to be brushed and fed and cuddled. You're in charge."

Zhihan straightened up like a tiny soldier. "I'll take care of her carefully!!"

"Great! I'll bring you milk tea when I come back, okay?"

"Yes!!" he replied, clearly proud to be given such an important task.

Assistant Chen and Assistant Wen arrived right after breakfast. As Han Yue got into the car, she felt her shoulders slump again. "Why is shopping more tiring than running a company?" she murmured.

They drove directly to the warehouses first. As usual, they were bursting with deliveries—so Han Yue casually raised her hand and sucked everything into the Space Jade Amulet in waves.

"Miss Han," Chen reported as they got back in the car, "a large batch of orders from last week are arriving tonight. Includes bulk kitchenware, cooking equipment, grills, roasters, stoves, ice cream machines, solar panels, humidifiers, air-conditioning units, generators, and other backup utilities."

Wen flipped through a small list. "We're now down to miscellaneous supply rounds and location-specific items."

Han Yue nodded, already thinking ahead. "Look for stores, hospitals, factories, or warehouses going bankrupt. Buy out everything they have. Equipment, inventory—doesn't matter. Have them shipped to our warehouses."

Chen raised his brows with approval. "That's a good call. I'll contact the investigation team and have them compile a list of failing businesses in the surrounding cities."

With logistics underway, they turned onto a new route—towards the other half of the Jade City Wholesale District. This side was clothes, textiles, fishing gear, camping and survival stores, livestock vendors, and the birds-and-flowers market.

Just the thought of it made Han Yue light up again.

"Let's goooo! Clothes, ducks, tents, and baby goats!!" she cheered from the back seat, face glued to the car window. "I'm going to be a rich country girl with a palace full of animals!"

Assistant Chen silently added another page to his notebook.

Han Yue arrived at the clothing district with her two assistants. Today's goal: buy everything.

The shopkeepers were already buzzing — they had heard about this legendary "God of Wealth" visiting the wholesale market yesterday. Some were depressed when she didn't come their way. But today, hope returned. And not just hope — an order that nearly gave them heart attacks.

Han Yue, with her rich second-gen air and human mask on, cheerfully asked for 5,000 sets of all clothing sizes — jackets, coats, hoodies, T-shirts, long sleeves, tank tops, pants, yoga wear, cargo pants, socks, gloves, scarves, beanies... the list went on. For the older inventory of over 4,000 items, she offered to take all of it with a 40% discount. No one hesitated. Receipts flew into Assistant Liu and Chen's hands like paper rain.

Next stop: the camping and survival gear shops.

Han Yue asked for their full itemized list. After a glance, she scribbled "5,000 each" on the top corner, then asked with mock generosity, "Do you have old unsold stuff? Just sell it to me for 50% off. I'll generously accept it~" Assistant Chen's mouth twitched. Assistant Liu almost laughed.

After payments and delivery instructions (within 3 days), they moved to the flowers and birds market.

Han Yue's eyes lit up at the sight of vibrant blooms and rare plants. She immediately bought out all the flower seeds, pots, gardening tools, and even herbal seeds from nearby stalls. Then she went to flower shops and ordered 50 each of regular and exotic potted plants. All were to be delivered to the warehouse in 3 days.

At the birds market, colorful birds chirped happily. Han Yue purchased 20 pairs of each species, including pigeons, sparrows, chickens, ducks, and more — plus toys, feeders, and perches.

Then, she reached the livestock section.

Her eyes widened at the sea of cute baby animals — rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, quail, piglets, boars, goats, sheep, bulls, and cows. She ordered 20 pairs each, boys and girls, for delivery tomorrow. As if that wasn't enough, she discovered bee hives and queen bees — 15 hives and 6 queens. "I'll take all of it!" she chirped with a bright smile.

They continued to the farmers' market, where Han Yue found a shop selling animal fences and dividers. She bought 100 sets each, and then went on to order 200+ chicken coops from a carpenter shop nearby. Then she saw shops selling farm tools: tractors, seed planters, soil tillers, sprinklers, and harvesters.

She casually ordered 50 each of the best models. The vendors were stunned. One boss promised everything would be inspected and delivered within 2 weeks. Han Yue just smiled — machines could wait.

While Assistant Chen discussed even more detailed orders (like rice-processing units and multiple models of farming equipment), Han Yue was already off, admiring grain containers. The boss explained they had units that could hold 10, 20, 50, and even 100 tons of grain. She happily bought 50 of each.

While the assistants busied themselves finalizing orders, Han Yue strolled alone — until she felt a tug on her foot.

Looking down, she saw a sad little kitten meowing, trying to pull her somewhere. Han Yue gently followed him down a quiet alley and discovered another kitten stuck under their mother — who had unfortunately died of starvation.

Han Yue's heart sank. "Let's get you out of there, baby." She quietly moved the dead mother cat, pulled out the second kitten, and sneaked both kittens into her bag — straight into her space. She also took the mother cat. "We'll bury her later… you two are safe now."

Just then, she heard Assistant Chen and Liu calling for her. She hummed a cheerful tune as she skipped back to them.

They visited garment factories next. Han Yue bought out all old and new stocks, plus 140 sets of sewing machines and all kinds of accessories — buttons, threads, baskets, clips.

At the daily necessities market, she requested an itemized list, then wrote "5000 each" with zero hesitation. The boss, already aware of the "God of Wealth" rumors, respectfully handed over the order slip without question.

Back at the warehouse, Han Yue stored everything efficiently into her space.

To celebrate, she took Assistant Chen and Liu to a hotpot restaurant.

While swirling veggies and meats in the spicy broth, she casually said, "By the way, Chen, look for food or medicine that's about to expire. Ask the sellers for big discounts. We'll take it off their hands."

Chen froze. His eyes lit up as if he'd been enlightened by the heavens. "Right! The space keeps everything fresh! Why didn't I think of that?!"

He immediately texted his team and Secretary Wen:

"Look for expiring products — food, drinks, meds. We'll buy everything. Prioritize large batches."

That alone would save them tons of money.

Han Yue, happily sipping strawberry milkshake, called over the hotpot staff and asked, "I really love your broth. Can you pack 5000 servings of all flavors for my warehouse?"

Assistant Liu took over the business talk.

She also asked for dipping sauces and marinades to be bottled and delivered in batches over 3 days.

Afterward, she bought 10 varieties of milk tea, then visited a pastry shop and asked for 1000 of each kind of bread within a week. Assistant Chen negotiated the contract and later called up bakery factories to send 1000 of each cake, cupcake, brownie, doughnut, cookie, and so on.

Finally, Han Yue returned home.

The lounge was full of laughter — Baby Bunny hopped around while Little Zhihan chased her with giggles. When they saw Han Yue, both dashed toward her for hugs.

"I brought pastries and milk tea!" Han Yue announced.

Zhihan's eyes sparkled. "So many kinds! Wow!"

She called the butler and maids to come enjoy it too. Everyone gathered in the lounge, drinking milk tea and snacking happily.

Han Yue leaned back, sipping strawberry milkTea as Baby Bunny snuggled at her feet.

Later that night, just as she was about to settle in, Assistant Chen called.

"All the kitchen equipment and machines arrived at the warehouse. And a huge load of takeout food too."

Han Yue sighed but got up. Another run to the warehouse.

By 10 p.m., she finally returned.

"Shopping is so hard…" she mumbled, collapsing into bed.

"How do the heroines in novels make it look so easy…"

She fell asleep seconds later, with two kittens curled up in her space, dreaming beside the baby bunny.
