Chapter 113 - Ch 113

"Lord Hokage, mother and child are safe! Congratulations on another set of twins!"

Inside the delivery room, the midwife's face was beaming with joy as she held two swaddled infants, congratulating Kagami as he entered. He smiled and nodded, quickly walking forward to carefully take the two precious bundles from her.

Kagami looked down at the children in his arms. Their skin was rosy, their wrinkled little faces adorned with a pair of bright, wide eyes. They stared curiously at the strange new world and at the tall man before them. A warm current surged through Kagami's heart as he felt an unprecedented sense of connection.

"My dumplings " he teased gently, his low, magnetic voice full of fatherly love, "I'm your daddy." His eyes sparkled with happiness.

Tsunade and the other girls gathered around, their faces alight with joy. "How cute! They're so adorable!"

Kagami then turned and walked toward Suzune, who was lying on the bed. Her face was pale, but her eyes were filled with a tender, maternal satisfaction. She was a little surprised by Kagami's recent change in appearance but didn't dwell on it, her attention completely focused on her children. Kagami gently placed the babies beside her. Suzune looked at them gently, her eyes full of happiness and love, her fingers softly tracing their delicate faces.

She looked up at Kagami, a soft smile on her lips. "Darling, give the children their names."

Kagami nodded. After a moment's thought, he decided to name them after the template. His gaze moved between the two infants. "Let's name the older brother Vergil, and the younger brother Dante."

Hearing this, Suzune's eyes sparkled. She looked down at her sons and whispered, "Did you hear that, Vergil and Dante? Those are the names your daddy gave you." As if they understood, the two babies broke into lovely smiles, as warm and bright as the rising sun, instantly melting the hearts of everyone present.

"It seems they're very satisfied with their names," Kagami said, his heart filled with happiness. He reached out and stroked Suzune's hair. "You get some rest. I'll take good care of you and the children." He then used his Reversed Cursed Technique to begin repairing the damage to her body from childbirth. As the technique worked, the color returned to her pale face. She lay quietly on the bed, feeling Kagami's care and the warmth of her children, enveloped in a world of love and peace.

To let her rest, Kagami didn't stay long. After giving a few careful instructions, he left the room with the babies and the other women, leaving Suzune to drift off into a happy sleep.

As soon as he stepped out, Kurenai and Tsunade surrounded him. "Hurry, let me hold the baby!" Kurenai demanded, her eyes wide with overflowing maternal love.

"Let me hold one," Tsunade countered, not to be outdone. "I'm an experienced doctor. What do you know about holding a child?"

Kagami smiled helplessly at their squabbling and carefully handed the children over. "Be careful," he reminded them. Kurenai and Tsunade took turns holding the babies, unable to let go, teasing them with happy smiles. Kagami stood aside, his heart filled with warmth. He soon realized he was redundant here. The women were completely immersed in the world of the babies, skillfully changing diapers and feeding them, all while looking down on him.

"You'd better not cause any trouble!"

"That's right, Kagami. You're a man with rough hands. Don't get in the way!"

Kagami was left feeling helpless but amused by their dismissiveness. He watched their busy figures with a happy smile on his lips. Kicked out of the room, he was also happy to have some free time. He probably wasn't suited for the delicate work of childcare anyway.

He decided to go to the Kamui dimension to check on Orochimaru's progress in cloning the Rinnegan. Over the past half a year, Orochimaru had not only developed many technological weapons but had also, under his instructions, developed improved varieties of food seeds and civilian technologies. With just a few thousand people farming these new crops, they could easily feed a nation the size of the Land of Fire. Konoha was now self-sufficient, no longer needing to rely on funding from the Daimyo.

The new civilian technologies had also greatly improved the living standards of everyone in the village. It was only now that the natives of this world realized what a hard life they had been living. The shinobi finally understood that a better life could be achieved without constant plunder. Because of these changes, the people of Konoha no longer obeyed Kagami out of fear, but out of genuine respect and love. Compared to the empty words about the "Will of Fire," what Kagami had done was truly for their benefit. The First and Second Hokage couldn't compare, and the corrupt Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, wasn't even worthy of being mentioned in the same breath. Kagami had become the most beloved Hokage in history.

When he arrived at the laboratory, all the researchers greeted him respectfully. "Hello, Lord Kagami!" they all chorused. Kagami smiled and nodded to them as he made his way to Orochimaru's personal lab.
