Chapter 118 - Ch 118

"Oh my god, why are they so big?" Looking at the two mountain-sized Divine Dogs, Kagami was stunned. On second thought, however, he felt it was normal. In Jujutsu Kaisen, when Sukuna took over Megumi's body, the shikigami he summoned were countless times larger than Megumi's own. Kagami had not only fused with a tenfold-amplified Sukuna template but also several other powerful characters. It was only natural that his shikigami would be even larger.

Because Kagami hadn't set up a barrier, the tremendous noise caused by the Divine Dogs' appearance instantly alerted the entire village.

"What... what is that thing!" The sudden appearance of the two colossal canines shocked the villagers of Konoha. They looked up at the two beasts that seemed to blot out the sun, and a primal fear surged through their hearts. Although only half of the dogs' bodies were visible, it was still terrifying enough.

"Run! The tailed beasts are attacking again!"

"There are two of them this time! Everyone run, or we're all doomed!"

The villagers screamed in terror, fleeing in all directions. They thought another tailed beast attack was imminent, a horrifying repeat of the Nine-Tails Rampage. They didn't want to experience that feeling of utter despair again. In an instant, the entire village fell into chaos.

In every corner of Konoha, shinobi also spotted the two giant dogs. "What... what is that? Two tailed beasts?"

"No way... how could there be two tailed beasts in Konoha at the same time? And judging by their size, they're not much smaller than the Nine-Tails!"

"Could it be... an attack from another village?"

"Impossible! The tailed beasts can't just appear in the middle of the village!"

The shinobi looked at the two aggressive-looking beasts, their faces pale with shock. "Quick! Evacuate the civilians!" they shouted, terrified but springing into action. They knew the terrifying power of the tailed beasts all too well. If they were to truly attack, Konoha would face another catastrophe. After the initial shock, the ninja began to evacuate the crowds and maintain order.

At the same time, some of the more powerful shinobi noticed where the dogs had appeared and their expressions changed. They immediately rushed toward the location. The two beasts had appeared... near Kagami's house!

"Damn it, why are they there?"

"Could Lord Kagami be in danger?"

"No, we have to go see!"

Many shinobi, suppressing their fear, rushed toward Kagami's residence. In the past year since he had become Hokage, they no longer needed to engage in dangerous battles to earn a living, and their lives had improved dramatically. They had come to truly respect and admire him. At this dangerous moment, their first instinct was to protect him.

At that moment, Kagami had a helpless look on his face. He hadn't expected that summoning two Divine Dogs would cause such a massive commotion. "I should have found a deserted place to test this," he muttered to himself. The most important thing now was to dismiss them before they caused even more panic.

Soon, a large number of shinobi arrived near his house. But when they saw that the two giant dogs were just standing there obediently, not causing any destruction, they were confused.

"Could it be... that these two 'tailed beasts' were summoned by Lord Kagami?"

"That must be it! Otherwise, we would have received a warning!"

The shinobi discussed amongst themselves, their faces a mixture of surprise and doubt. Though they were reluctant to believe someone could summon creatures of this magnitude, it was the only explanation that made sense. Thinking this, they suppressed their fear and rushed toward Kagami's house. If the beasts were really his, they could relax. Even if they went berserk, Kagami could surely subdue them.

When they saw Kagami standing in front of the two Divine Dogs with a helpless look on his face, their worries vanished. It seemed their guess was correct.

"Lord Kagami, are these... your spirit beasts?" Shikaku Nara asked cautiously, pointing at the two massive dogs.

"Yeah," Kagami nodded. "I just wanted to summon them to have a look, but I didn't expect to cause such a commotion." He then willed the two dogs to disappear back into the shadows.

As the beasts vanished, the shinobi let out a collective sigh of relief. Even though the dogs hadn't shown any murderous intent, their sheer size and oppressive aura had been terrifying. They had no doubt that if those two monsters had wanted to, they could have torn them to shreds in an instant.

They looked at Kagami with envy and admiration. "Your spirit beasts are so powerful, Lord Kagami. Your strength truly puts us to shame." They all fantasized about owning such powerful summons, but they knew they lacked the strength to tame such creatures.

Kagami simply smiled. "This was an accident that caused a lot of chaos. Go and see if there were any damages. You can give the villagers some compensation." Over the past year, he had partnered with various clans to start many businesses and had more money than he could spend. A little compensation was nothing. This incident was his fault, and he could use it as an opportunity to win over the people's hearts.

"Thank you, Lord Kagami! Long live Lord Kagami!" The shinobi cheered, thrilled at the prospect of compensation. Kagami smiled, waved his hand, and sent them on their way. Knowing it was just a misunderstanding, the shinobi quickly dispersed.
