Sejal and Dean were now secretly seeing each other behind Ken's back.
Using "work" as an excuse, they would often sneak out, explore new places, spend quiet moments together.
One day, as they sat on a park bench under soft afternoon light, Sejal gently held Dean's hand and asked,
> "Jaan, how long do we keep hiding like this?
Does Suzy know that we're seeing each other again?"
Dean chuckled softly, then nodded.
> "Yes. Suzy knows everything."
Sejal looked at him, surprised.
Dean continued,
> "Let's tell Ken everything too.
If we calmly explain, I believe he'll understand our relationship and respect our choice."
Sejal hesitated. Her brows knit in concern.
> "Hmm… actually, I think we should talk to Dada first.
Harry can handle the situation better.
He'll know how to make Ken understand. I trust him."
Dean nodded in agreement.
> "You're right. Let's speak to Harry first."
That evening, after work, Sejal went straight to her brother Herry's place instead of returning to Ken's home.
Seeing her at the door unexpectedly, Herry was surprised, but greeted her warmly.
> "What's this? Isn't Dean with you?"
Sejal smiled gently and replied,
> "Dean's still at the office.
Dada, I actually came to speak to you about something important."
Herry's face turned serious.
> "Tell me."
Sejal sat beside him, took a breath, and said slowly,
> "Dada, could you please talk to Ken?
I can't keep pretending anymore.
Dean and I… we're back together.
This fake engagement with Ken— I just can't carry on with it.
I know Ken has done so much for me… he deserves honesty.
And he'll find someone who truly loves him. But that someone isn't me."
Herry didn't speak for a moment. He just stared at her, thoughtful and calm.
Then he finally nodded and said,
> "Alright. I'll call Ken right now and ask him to come over."
