~Annalyn POV~
I stormed back to the estate, my head a mess. Lucas was in the library, poring over some old book, and he looked up when I walked in, his nose twitching. "You smell like him again," he growled.
"Yeah, well, he's got answers," I shot back, dropping into a chair. "Unlike you."
Lucas slammed the book shut. "Answers? He's manipulating you. That ritual's a trap."
"Maybe." I rubbed my temples, the Moon Alpha's voice still buzzing. "But he says it's the only way to stop this spirit. You marked me, Lucas, but it's not enough. I'm still hearing her."
His jaw clenched. "So you're gonna let him screw you into submission?"
I stood, furious. "Don't make it sound like that! I'm trying to survive here!"
He grabbed my arms, pulling me close. "You're mine, Annalyn. I won't share you with him."
