Chapter 117 - A New Phase

"YES! YES!"

Penelope and Julia hugged each other, and the other students also jumped up with joy. Their happiness wasn't just because they had received an 'O' (Outstanding) on their exam, but because they had actually defeated a Quintaped.

You see, even experienced Aurors wouldn't dare to provoke a magical creature like this, but they had not only defeated it but killed it. If this news were to get out, it would probably shock a lot of wizards in the magical community.

After Penelope's team finished their exam, Victor returned to the waiting area. As soon as he arrived, he shouted to all the fifth-year students who had yet to take their exam:

"Listen up, Penelope's team all got an 'O' (Outstanding) and even killed the Quintaped!"

"So all of you who haven't gone yet, you better step up and do better. Don't just get off to a good start and then get taken down by the Quintaped!"

The remaining fifth-year students were all shocked when they heard this, and they began to say:

"What?! They actually killed the Quintaped?!"

"Penelope, how did you do it?! Can you give us some tips?"

"Yeah, yeah! Did you seduce the Lord of Wisdom to give you a high score?!"

"What… what are you all saying?!"

Penelope's face immediately turned red at the last joking question. The students surrounded Penelope and the other five, all hoping to get some tips. But Victor, seeing this, immediately shouted with a dark expression:

"What are you all doing?! You don't think I'm here, do you?!"

"Why do you think I put you last in line? If you want to cheat, I'll just fail you all!"

Hearing this, the students had no choice but to timidly shrink back.

"Stop dawdling and get up there, next group!!!" Victor shouted, and the exam continued.

And so, over the next two hours, the fifth-year Ravenclaws, after many heart-pounding moments, successfully completed their exams, and most of them received 'O' (Outstanding) and 'E' (Exceeds Expectations) grades. Except for one student, who got an 'A' (Acceptable).

This student, for some reason, still wasn't very good at using many spells, but his use of the Silencio spell was exceptionally smooth. Victor seriously suspected that this student had a tendency to follow in Lockhart's footsteps after graduation. Of course, that was a digression.

Because the sixth and seventh-year Ravenclaws were close to graduation, there was basically nothing left for the school to teach them besides helping them prepare for their O.W.L.s. So, Victor prepared a 5X-rated Chimera and a Manticore as their practical opponents.

Although the process was extremely difficult, their mentality and skills were already mature, so they all received grades of 'E' (Exceeds Expectations) or higher in the end.

The exam was over, and Victor recorded everyone's grades. Next, he would have to truthfully submit these grades to the Hogwarts student records. This wasn't something he had fought for with force; Ravenclaw didn't have special privileges.

In reality, since Lockhart had been kicked to Azkaban by Victor, the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts had been vacant, and the old Headmaster had been hesitant to arrange for a new professor to teach the class.

So, the three Heads of House, who had long heard that Victor was giving the Ravenclaws private lessons, finally couldn't hold back and began to quietly arrange Defense Against the Dark Arts tutoring for their own students.

To put it bluntly, they were caught up in Victor's actions. So, even though the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts was still vacant, the four Houses had been holding their own midterm exams for the subject over the past few days, and their final grades would also be recorded in their files.

Dumbledore chose to turn a blind eye to this situation because he suddenly realized that if he didn't assign some poor unfortunate soul to that position, then Hogwarts would have no Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, and on the surface, the class would even be canceled. If that were the case, would Voldemort's curse still work?

And so, on the first weekend of November, the Hogwarts students were filled with resentment. Not only was their weekend rest time gone, but why did they have to take such a crazy exam?! Under the blue sky, the resentful cries of the students echoed through the valley…

And a month passed quickly. With December here, the students began to count down the days until the Christmas holiday in their hearts. In this month, under Victor's constant hellish training, the members of Fairy Tail had already begun to choose the magic they wanted to learn.

As for the Gryffindors, besides Hermione, who had chosen Sky Dragon Slayer Magic, the others chose as follows:

Harry Potter: He chose Fire Dragon Slayer Magic. He felt that the fiery flames perfectly suited a Gryffindor.

Ron Weasley: He chose Earth Magic. He felt that this magic was very versatile in terms of offense, defense, and freedom, even if its attack speed was a bit slow.

Fred and George Weasley: The twins chose Spirit Magic. This magic allows one to imbue part of their consciousness into objects, making it very suitable for the two of them who relied on magical items.

Neville Longbottom: He naturally chose Nature Magic. Since he had always wanted to use herbs and potions to cure his parents who had been driven mad by the Cruciatus Curse, he wanted to learn this magic to find the corresponding potions more quickly.

Ginny Weasley: She appeared to be well-mannered on the surface, but she was incredibly violent on the inside. She chose the advanced destructive magic Crush. From this, it was clear why she was so good at using the Reducto spell in the books; her talent and nature were both present.

The four Hufflepuff students chose as follows: Cedric Diggory chose Skyscraper.

Justin Finch-Fletchley: He chose Memory-Make Magic. This magic allows one to materialize magical spells and objects from memory. It also allows one to create new spells by adding their own understanding to the spells they remember, which was very suitable for someone like him who loved Magical History.

Zoe Matisse: She chose Heavenly Body Magic. When asked why, Zoe said that the magic was very cool and beautiful to use.

Sonia de Oliveira: She chose Ice-Make Magic. It must be said that this magic was very suitable for her cold and aloof personality.
