Chapter 4 - chapter 4

Zara

I couldn't believe what was going on; the whole world was spinning in front of me, my legs felt so heavy that I couldn't move them, and I couldn't think properly at the moment.

Hot tears immediately rolled down my cheek. I felt so weak that I fell to the floor, wailing and crying my eyes out.

It was supposed to be my wedding! It was supposed to be my long-awaited day. The day I got married to James, I was always so happy and looking forward to it. I can't believe the whole day was ruined completely by a man I knew nothing about.

All I could see around me was blood, a splash of blood staining the whole altar, and also my wedding dress. My family had been murdered in cold blood.

I looked around for James, but I couldn't find him. He had suddenly disappeared from my sight. I think he had been dragged away by the warriors. All I could see was his father's blood that had stained my wedding dress. His father Alpha's Kelvin had always been so good to me; he was a good man to my father; how could they kill him brutally?

Who has dared to do this? Who had dared to destroy my day?

At that same moment, I heard resounding footsteps approaching me. It was so clear and loud that it covered up all the screaming around me.

I heard a loud growl in front of me, but I wasn't scared. I just wanted the bad wolf to kill me and end everything.

But suddenly I heard a word, Mate.

I looked up immediately, and I saw a figure standing tall in front of me. My eyes turned red, and it was filled with fury because I could recognise the man standing in front of me. It was the same man, the monster, who ruined my wedding.

"What? Do you want to kill me like you killed everyone?" I cried out.

I was expecting him to hit me, but strangely, the man looked confused, like he had seen something, which surprised and baffled him greatly.

Ignoring his expression and my tear-stained face, I got up on my feet, aiming for his height. He was far taller than me, even in my wedding heels, but at the moment I didn't care.

"How dare you kill them? How dare you ruin my wedding?" I yelled at his face with fresh tears rolling down my cheek.

"How is this possible? How can he be my mate?" He said a word that baffled me.

"Mate?" There was no way that would be possible. I had always been mateless because I had a very weak wolf, but there was no way the moon goddess would mate me to a monster.

"You are my mate. How is that possible?" He asked me

I was so annoyed that I scoffed.

"I cannot be your mate!" I yelled at his face.

"Why do you look so familiar too?" He asked me

I scoffed irritably at the man's crazyness. First, he killed everyone and ruined my marriage, and now he was spilling out some trash.

However, I already turned into a crazy woman; I was nothing but an empty shell now. He took away everything I own. After I was abandoned by my people, those people took me in and treated me right, but now he ruined everything.

"I don't care who you are or how powerful you are, but I hate you, monster!" I yelled at his face.

His eyes immediately turned red at those words. He moved closer, and I closed my eyes, thinking he wanted to hit me, but suddenly the man grabbed my hands. He was about to say something when a man came in.

"Alpha, we have successfully defeated everyone." A man came between us and told me.

He left me and turned to the man, a smile escaping from his lips.

"I'm sure Frank will be happy to hear this." He responded.

"It's time to return to our pack for celebration, Alpha." The man added

The monster nodded.

"Our revenge is done here. Gather all the warriors here and let's return home." He instructed.

The warrior nodded and left immediately. The ma turned back to me, his expression darkened, and he mumbled something under his breath, but I could clearly hear it.

"There is no way someone like him will be my mate!"

"Let's go." He told the guard behind him, and they left my side.

I watched his retreating figure as he walked out of the church, but I wasn't ready to let him go. He ruined my joy, and I'm never going to let him go!

I grabbed one of his men's daggers that was on the floor. I carried my wedding gown and ran out of the alter, crossing over the dead bodies that were murdered miserably by his warriors.

I am going to stab him to death and get revenge on everyone he killed. Alpha Kelvin's, his Gamma, and every other person he hurt.

The moment I arrived outside the door, I saw him talking to one of the warriors. Without thinking twice, I ran at him at a fast speed, aiming to stab him from the back. I know he was stronger than me, so stabbing him from the back will be easier and faster.

"Die you monster!" I screamed, aiming for his wide back, but I didn't expect the man to be perfectly be at alert.

He turned back and caught me at my hand right in time, stopping me from stabbing him. Just with a hand, he flung me away, and I landed my butt on the ground, grunting out in pain.

But the pain I felt at the moment was nothing compared to the one in my heart. I want nothing more than to kill him.

I watched him shield out his sword, and he strode at me with fury in his eyes.

But suddenly he came to a halt. His eyes were fixed on the necklace, dangling precariously on my neck.

"D-Daphne?" He suddenly stuttered looking completely shock, but I couldn't understand.
