Chapter 1 - chapter 1

Elrick sat quietly on a large stone, fingers clenched over his knees, his mind spinning with disbelief.

Birds chirped in the distance. The wind rustled gently through the trees, brushing against his face. Everything around him was calm and strangely beautiful—but none of it brought him any comfort.

He wasn't a camper. He wasn't the outdoorsy type. Yet here he was… sitting alone in the middle of a forest.

"What the hell is going on...?" he muttered, eyes wide as he stared into the trees, trying to piece it all together.

Just moments ago, he'd been lounging in his room, eyes glued to his monitor, playing Throne of Worlds—his favorite fantasy gacha game. He had just pulled a new five-star unit and was fist-pumping in celebration.

Then… it happened.

He reached for a bag of chips, accidentally bumped the edge of his desk, and knocked over a very old jewel box—a gift from his grandfather that had sat unopened for years.

The box shattered the moment it hit the floor.

And from within the broken glass, a blinding white light erupted—so intense it devoured his entire room.

The next thing he knew... he was here.

In some unknown forest.

He sat there for what felt like several minutes, letting the confusion wash over him.

Then— Ding!

A sudden chime echoed through the air.

A translucent blue screen appeared before him, hovering midair like a holographic UI straight out of a game.

[SYSTEM ACTIVATED] Welcome, Elrick! You have received: 1x FREE DRAW Would you like to proceed? [Yes] / [No]

"What in the…?" Elrick blinked. "So... I got isekai'd?"

Then, slowly, a grin spread across his face. "F*ck yes! I always dreamed of this happening—and I got a system!"

Without hesitation, he reached out and tapped the glowing [Yes] icon.

The screen shimmered as a massive summoning wheel appeared, spinning rapidly. Glowing orbs zipped around the wheel, each marked with stars and vivid colors.

[Spinning Summoning Wheel...] Congratulations! You have summoned: 5★ Unit – Prickly Saint: Beatriz Deploying unit... Please stand by.

A magic circle burst open in front of him, glowing with radiant purple and silver light. Wind spiraled upward from its center, swirling leaves and dust in every direction.

And then— She appeared.

Certainly! Here's the polished version of that sentence, seamlessly continuing the flow of your chapter:

A tall, striking woman stood proudly before him, clad in a modified nun's habit that hugged her elegant, slender frame. The deep black fabric was trimmed with crimson, and the skirt was cut daringly high along one thigh, allowing for swift, lethal movement. A silver cross hung from her neck, catching the light with each subtle motion, while a black veil cascaded down her back, framing her pale face and sharp crimson eyes. Fingerless gloves covered her hands, and her dark stockings—laced with thorn-like patterns—added an air of both grace and menace.

Strapped to her back was a spear—no, a divine weapon. Over nine feet long, its blade shimmered with a soft blue glow. The shaft was etched with intricate, celestial patterns, each one pulsing faintly with magic.

She stood tall—easily 188cm, or 6'1. Elrick, at 5'10, felt absolutely dwarfed.

He stared, slack-jawed.

"…Beatriz?"

She didn't answer immediately. Instead, she tilted her head slightly, examining him with a cool, unreadable expression.

Then—

Grrrghhh… heehehehehe…

Low, raspy chuckles echoed from the treeline.

Elrick stiffened.

Sure enough, three of them emerged from the bushes—short, green-skinned creatures with crooked teeth, yellow eyes, and wicked little daggers. Each one was barely waist-high, with greasy hair and twitching movements.

But they weren't looking at him.

They were staring at her—at Beatriz—with gleaming, predatory eyes full of hunger and lust.

Beatriz's lips curled.

Her voice was cold, laced with pure disdain. "Disgusting."

Her hand moved to her back.

Elrick gulped, watching as she reached for her spear.
