Athena giggled as the music pulsed louder, her body moving to the rhythm like it had a mind of its own. Kraven's hand was still at her waist, steady and firm, the only thing keeping her from swaying into the crowd.
"Relax," she said, tilting her head up to grin at him. "You look like someone forced you to stand in a thunderstorm."
Kraven's lips twitched into a faint scowl. "Because I'm dancing with a fool in public," he muttered through gritted teeth.
Athena laughed… her laugh seemed soft and melodic for him and then she twirled around… nearly crashing into him. Kraven caught her by the arm before she could fall backward.
"That's the third time," he said sharply.
She blinked up at him with mock innocence. "Oh really? I didn't count."
Then she did it again.
A dramatic sway, a flutter of her lashes, and… oops… she stumbled. Kraven's reflexes kicked in, his arm snapping around her waist and pulling her close.
