YUTA'S POV
My world turned dark, and cold after I succumbed to sleep. I felt nothing, I couldn't even mustered the strength to think. All I knew was I was flooding in the middle of nowhere for a long while, then suddenly came a bright outer worldly light.
Next thing I knew I was seated on a gigantic golden chair in the middle of nowhere, the chair was placed on what looked like an infinite rainbows loop. I pulsed for a second, scouting the environment for clues but got nothing.
"Where am I?" I wondered, my heart drumming as I rose to my feet. This was clearly not a hospital, at least not the ones I was used to, could it mean that I was dead. This revelation brings a dull ache to my heart. My eyes began to water, not because I was now dead but because I didn't get to live life, I have been to hell and when it was finally time to time to enjoy the fruit of my labor, my life was snatch from me.
"Hello Yuta Katsuo" A gentle voice whispered in my ear, consequently sending a chill down my spine.
Quickly, I jolted away to see who it was, but what I saw left me utterly speechless.
It was minute girl with fair skin, porcelain doll face, and enchanting rainbow colored eyes. She had long black hair, her skin feathery white like that of a bird, she had a pair gigantic blue butterfly winds and on her head rested a diamond crown.
"Who.... Who are you... and how.... did you know my name?" I muttered confused, my hair standing on straight ends.
She stepped forward, her face radiating with excitement and innocence, but the air around her had a frightening aura, that woman was trouble, and I wasn't ready to deal with that now.
"Stay.... stay away from me" I commanded, with a shaking voice. My limbs melting wax before her.
"Relax Yuta, I am not going to hurt you" She said, her voice gentle and sincere "My name is Aria Kokoro and I am your guardian angel" She added this time with a voice laced with pride and a big smile.
Her statement immediately took me aback.
"What did you just say?" I asked nonplussed by her words.
"I said, I am your guardian angel" She said this time with an ecstasy filled voice. As soon as her words hit my ear drum I froze, a cold chill ran down my spine.
"You're my guardian angel, how is that possible?" I asked my chest tightening with anger and she stupidly responded with a gigantic smile, "Well it's simple really God gave me charge over you..."
"Where have you been all this while...?" I ask calmly as I clutched my fist trying to suppress my anger.
"You know I have been here, just chilling and having some heavenly meetings..." She voiced with excitement and a nod tied in my stomach.
"Shut up!" I yelled and she jolted in fear,
"I have been suffering. I have been beaten, falsefully accused on multiple occasions, I slept on the streets for years, slept hungry on several occasions, I have been arrested, and tortured and you were here chilling" I yelled, my blood boiling with rage.
"Oh Yuta, I never abandoned you. I just assumed you didn't need my help that's all" She dared to lie, her words successfully threw gasoline to my already burning temper.
"You thought I didn't need your help" I said with a sarcastic laugh, which immediately switched to anger "Let me give you a brief recap of how my life has been; I was abandoned at birth by my parents, a couple decided to take me in but at a price, as soon as I could walk I took over all the house chores, I was abused on multiple occasions, the scars they gave me still hunt me to this day. At age six they got sick of me and decided to kick me to the streets. I begged from one orphanage home to another but none wanted me. I had to lived on the streets, ate from dumpsites cause no one thought I was worthy of helping, I was unloved and under appreciated by everyone. I was just about to give up on people when Armin and Suki came into my life but even them betrayed me. Finally something good happens to me and you let them kill me"
"Wow! your life really was a sad mess. Maybe you did need my help after all" She said with a tedious frown on her face as though just realizing something. Shouldn't she have known that, at this point I was beginning to wonder if she was actually the all knowing guardian angel she claimed to be or a fraud.
"But fortunately for you, I'm here to help now"
"Unfortunately, I don't need your help. As you can see I'm dead" I yelled at her, my chest heavy as I took a sit on the golden chair.
"But it doesn't have to be that way Yuta. You can live again" She said her voice laced with certainty, consequently plaguing my interest.
"I can live again?" I doubted, a spark of hope igniting in my chest, as I turned to her.
"Yes Yuta, you have been given a second chance at life by God Almighty." She said with a kind smile.
My glaze fixated on her, my heart racing with anticipation, "You can make that happen?. You will send me back, so I could have my pay back on those traitor?" I asked my voice on the edge of exploding from happiness and her smile dies down to nervous laugh.
"Not exactly" She said. My chest suddenly felt heavy again. My lips fell to a straight line. I knew it, it was too good to be true, 30 years of misfortune why did I expect anything different.
"I can't send you back to earth but I can give you the opportunity to earn your way back" She said upon noticing my frown.
"Earn my way back?" I questioned, my head aching with unending questions.
Aria's smiled excitedly. "Yuta you have been chosen to be transmigrated into another world filled with wonder and danger, where people exist with magic and shape shifting powers. You will be given a new body, new abilities, new personality, and all you have to do is defeat one bad guy. Once that is done you will get one wish, a chance to go back to your world, a day before your passing"
My eyes widened as I considered the possibilities. This could be my chance to finally get my revenge on Armin and that traitor Suki.
"The choice is yours, Yuta. What will your decision be? will you go on this exciting adventure, or will you move on to the afternoon life?" She questioned, her voice laced with excitement.
