Chapter 1 - Episode One

·Introduction to Spirit Beasts·

I. Origin of Spirit Beasts:

Eight thousand years ago, humans triggered a large-scale explosion in the galaxy. The intense electromagnetic waves paralyzed all electronic instruments across the galaxy, and no one knew when they would recover.

Fortunately, at that time, human technology had developed quite advanced biotechnology, and they also had the ability to put "artificial creatures" with strong vitality and attack power into actual battlefields.

After the big explosion, humans utilized the remaining "artificial creatures" and improved the original method of generational alternation. After thousands of years of research, they finally evolved into the current spirit beasts, which have an inseparable relationship with humans.

II. Levels and Attributes of Spirit Beasts:

Spirit beasts take ten years as a unit, called a rank, and are divided into upper, middle, and lower levels.

Ranks 1 to 3 are lower-level spirit beasts, usually owned and commanded by ordinary civilians; ranks 4 to 6 are intermediate spirit beasts, usually owned by professional and technical personnel such as warriors and craftsmen; ranks 7 to 9 are upper-level spirit beasts, controlled by the powerful of various countries, who strictly control their production sources. This is because upper-level spirit beasts have incredible power, so they are also known as noble-level spirit beasts. Later, rank 7 was simply called royal spirit beasts, rank 8 imperial spirit beasts, and rank 9 emperor spirit beasts.

Moreover, the longer a spirit beast lives, the more mature its abilities in all aspects, the greater its power, and the higher its level.

Of course, there are also legendary spirit beasts that surpass the three levels and nine ranks, commonly known as "legendary sacred spirit beasts". It is said that they have the power to create the world, are not limited by the innate lifespan and instincts of spirit beasts, and can survive even if their masters die. The most famous ones are the four sacred beasts of the four directions. Furthermore, there is a saying to describe the four sacred beasts:

"The dragon's roar alarms the world; the tiger's roar shakes a thousand miles; the phoenix's song moves the nine provinces; the tortoise's roar wakes the nine abysses" Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird (also known as Phoenix), and Black Tortoise are the legendary four sacred beasts of the four directions, but no one has really seen them.

The attributes of spirit beasts are basically wind, fire, water, earth, light, and darkness.

Each rank of spirit beast has its own attribute, but only the attributes of light and darkness are possessed by spirit beasts above rank 8.

A spirit beast has only one attribute, but some people have researched the so-called second attribute, which means that a spirit beast will exert the ability of another attribute in a short period of time, that is, the so-called hidden ability.

III. Relationship Between Spirit Beasts and Humans:

Once a spirit beast recognizes its master, all the energy it needs is provided by the master. Therefore, the stronger the master is and the more energy he provides, the stronger the spirit beast will be. Especially higher-ranked spirit beasts require more energy. Therefore, if the energy provided by the master is insufficient, even a higher-ranked spirit beast will have insufficient power.

A spirit beast recognizes its master based on the master's mental power. Higher-level spirit beasts require higher mental power to recognize a master. If the master's mental power is too poor, it may even happen that the spirit beast does not recognize its master during the juvenile period or betrays its master after recognizing him.
