Hershel immediately got to work. He started repairing a few broken parts in the main control quarters. He had the help of the Mice-bots, that helped him carry things for repairs. Max wanted to help, but he had no idea on how he could do that. The other four were also useless, due to the fact that they were unaware of technology. They just stood awkwardly right there, until Hershel noticed it and asked them to explore the Dome, and get used to it. And five minutes had passed since then, as the gang were now climbing down a staircase leading to the floor below.
Hershel: Take this Map with you...it'll be helpful!
Hershel had handed Melissa the blueprint of the current Dome. She was unable to read the English letters on it, except a few ones, but she mostly didn't understand it, leading to Max currently holding it and leading them.
Max saw that the Dome actually had multiple floors and rooms everywhere, making it look like a Doomsday Bunker.
Max: Great! We are literally on a flying Doomsday Bunker!! Like how cool is that??!!
Max saw that there were exactly ten floors, and the entrance was in the third floor. There were two levels below it, and the control quarters was in the sixth floor.
They were now in the fifth floor and Max was leading them through different routes. It was hard to see, as it was dark in there, making Chuck almost use his Tome, until they heard the sound of gears shifting. And then the lights were switched on everywhere in the Dome.
Chuck: Woah!!
Max was more concerned about the electricity this was gonna use.
As they kept walking they heard huge splashing noises. And Albert had noticed it far earlier.
Albert: It was faint before, but there is a lot of water up ahead. And it's rising up and down....?
Albert was unsure of the phenomena, and Max just kept walking looking at the map, towards the room. As he opened the door, he read the Map.
Max: It says this is the Turbine Room...
And as they entered they saw a huge pool of water, stretching far. There were five huge turbines side by side and they were spinning slowly, splashing water. The turbines were connected by wires, which in fact went up to a generator Box.
Max took the Transponder, that Hershel had given them. It was a small circular mobile phone, which had only one purpose: Communicatiing with Hershel.
Max: So, most of the backup power is from hydroelectricity?
Hershel's voice was then heard from the speakers above them. The voice was sudden and alarmed everyone except Albert and Max, as they had already seen it prior to this.
Hershel: You would be correct indeed, Master Max!!
Lin: Where did that voice come from..?
Max: It's the speakers up there on the wall. Anyway Hershel thanks. I get it.
Chuck was running ahead, looking at everything. Max and the others slowly walked behind. Soon they reached the other end of the Turbine Room and found a door on the left. They opened it and went in.
It was a narrow corridor and as they kept walking, the loud sound of the turbines became faint. Soon the sounds vanished and they were in an area with a huge number of chairs and desks, along with a blackboard.
Max: They even prepared for schools huh....??!!
Max kept walking until they reached another group of stairs, that led below.
In the fourth floor they found themselves a huge swimming pool, amazing everyone. Only problem was that the water was dirty. Hershel apologised that they had to clean it. AMD a few Mice-bots entered the room, attempting to do just that.
The rest continued on their exploration. They finally reached a balcony like area, where they could see everything below them. Below them in the ground floor, or floor number one, was a huge dining table.
Max: Oh wow!!! Look at that!!!! We can have our meals together here!!!
Lin: We are not doing that!
Max: Oh come on!!! We've already done this!!
They continued wandering for a few more minutes. They eventually made it to the room the found Max in. The other two pods were empty and the one beside his belonged to Alicia. Upon closer inspection Max had noticed her name under the Pod.
The letter was still there, and Max folded it and kept it in his pocket, something he didn't have time to do because the Samurai had attacked him.
They were finally at the first floor and Max and Chuck were enjoying the dining table. Max and Melissa of all people were arguing on who gets to sit in the middle. Ultimately Max gave up, allowing her to sit in the "captain" chair.
They found the kitchen right next to the dining room, as it should be. They entered the room and found a ton of preserved food, ready to cook. They found another room that said Storage".
They all entered the room to find an even larger room, full of food and raw frozen meat. Max was amazed.
Max: Can any of you cook?
Albert: Well, I do cook a lot usually.
Chuck: I was the one who used to cook back in my house, so yes I can!!
It seemed that both Lin and Melissa were bad at cooking and Max wondered how they even survived. As soon as they were done with the storage room, Max read the map and noticed that the room beside it was another "Pod room".
Max slowly entered the room and walked past eight more pods. Seven of those were containing people. There was an adult woman in glasses, two kids and even an old man, all trapped in ice. Lin touched the glass of the glasses woman and wondered how they felt. Max's anger just increased, because he knew the cause of all this was the Children of Creation.
They walked to the next room ahead of the dining one. And it was a huge training room. It was an open space with spears and swords all attached to the walls. It was a dreamy place for both Albert and Lin.
