Chapter 5: Gambling with the Knife Hand
As soon as they entered the bottom of the cave, even someone like Brook who had seen a lot of wind and waves couldn't help swallowing his saliva. The gold everywhere almost blinded his eyes.
"Brook, Brook, let me down!" Barn was very curious when he heard Brook's voice. He struggled to go down. After putting Barn down, Brook began to fill the gold in a bag.
"Barn also ran around by himself, but there was a pile of gold missing every time he walked. It was obvious that he had to put it in his backpack. After a while, Barn held a knife and shouted Brook's name.
"I'm here," Brook said, but the work in his hands did not slow down at all. With the gold in the bag, Barn quickly rushed towards Brook, but was tripped by a box.
"Ouch! It hurts! "
Brook stopped collecting the gold, walked towards Barn, helped Barn up, Barn still holding the knife, kicked the box that tripped him away, Brook looked at the box and gasped, Barn quickly asked him what was in the box, Brook pointed at the box and swallowed his saliva.
"Two...two devil fruits!" Brook said in a trembling voice.
Brook pointed at the box and swallowed his saliva, "Two...devil fruits"
Barn was so happy when he heard that there were two devil fruits in the box that tripped him just now, thinking that the fall was worth it! He poked Brook,
"Hey, hey, Brook, there are exactly two devil fruits, and we two found them, one for each of us!" Barn said excitedly.
Brook put his arm around Barn's neck, "Boy, we are so lucky, I see that the shapes of the two devil fruits should be superhuman, one for each of us! Haha! "Brooke was obviously very excited as well.
You know, in this world, even the worst animal-type devil fruit will gain extraordinary strength after eating it, not to mention these two superhuman fruits that are above the animal type.
The devil fruit symbolizes strength, and strength represents everything! I have to say that they are really lucky.
"Barn, this is for you." Barn reached out and took it. It was the devil fruit he had dreamed of, but he was blind and couldn't see what this devil fruit looked like.
He just kept stroking the pattern on the fruit with his hands. Barn asked with his nose, "It's quite fragrant, not as stinky as described in the comics!"
Brook put the devil fruit away and looked at Barn. Barn was imagining how majestic he would be in the future. He looked like a pig with a pig face while holding the devil fruit.
Brook noticed a knife that Barn had been holding in his arms. He just took a look at the knife, and a biting cold breath penetrated into his eyebrows, which shocked him!
"Barn, where did the knife in your arms come from? "Brooke's words brought Barne back to reality, "I kicked it just now. This knife gives me a different feeling. It even makes my left hand want to move, so I picked it up." Barne answered honestly.
"Let me see it," Brook said coldly. "Oh," Barne was confused, but still gave the knife to Brook. Brook held the handle with his hand, and the cold feeling came over him again.
"This is..." Brook pulled out the knife, looked at the strange red flame pattern on the blade, and muttered "demon sword..."
"What?" Barne could not see the strange pattern on the knife, but he could also feel that this knife was not simple. He could feel it from the restless breath in his left hand. Brook's words made his heart beat faster.
Brook pulled out the knife completely, took a closer look, and then gently waved it at the box that originally contained the devil fruit. The pure copper box instantly split in two, and Brook's throat moved.
"Brook! Brook! Is this knife very powerful!" Barne asked anxiously.
"Second-generation Kitetsu," Brook said coldly, slowly sheathing his sword.
"Huh?" Barn froze. He'd certainly heard of Kitetsu. The legendary demon sword, the supreme and great katana Muramasa, was severed by a master swordsman using the Wado Ichimonji, splitting it into three pieces.
The pieces were later acquired by the Kitetsu clan and forged into the supreme and great katana First-generation Kitetsu, the great katana Second-generation Kitetsu, and the good katana Third-generation Kitetsu.
The First-generation Kitetsu was said to be in the hands of the Five Elders, while the Third-generation Kitetsu was supposedly still in Rogue Town. Rumor had it that the Second-generation Kitetsu was broken, so it seemed he had found it before it was.
"Barn!" Barn turned and looked at Brook. Brook squatted down, placed a hand on Barn's shoulder, and said earnestly, "Barn, you can't use this sword!"
"Why?" Barn bristled. "Damn! I was so lucky to have picked up this great katana. There are only a few in the world, and you won't let me use it?" Barn thought to himself.
"Bane! This is a demonic sword! An ominous blade! So many renowned masters have met their end while wearing it. This sword will slay its master!" Brook declared, his voice heavy and unwavering.
Hearing Brook's words, Barne knew he was truly concerned, and a warm feeling welled up within him. He was grateful, but Barne was also a man of pride.
In his previous life, he had become the nation's top Berserker thanks to his unwavering determination. He still had some backbone. He recalled a scene from One Piece he'd watched on his computer in his previous life.
Zoro had flung the Third Kitetsu high into the air, risking his swordsmanship to conquer it. He succeeded, and he remembered the thrill of it, his heart racing. He steeled his resolve.
"Brook! Give me the sword!" Brook, struck by Barne's unusually assertive attitude, held out the sword. Barne took it and slowly unsheathed it. Brook's throat quivered as he watched Barne's movements.
"I changed your forgotten fate. Now I will conquer you and use your blade to make you and me famous! Second Generation Kitetsu!
Let's see which is stronger, your demonic energy or my luck!" Barn slowly pulled the knife out of its sheath.
Suddenly, Barn threw the knife! At the same time, he stretched out his cursed left hand and placed it across the place where the knife fell!
