Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Traveling Through Time

Chapter 1 Traveling Through Time

In a small residential building in H City, the sounds of "ta-ta-ta!"

  "Ah! Hey!"

"Ah!"

"You Win!"

The words suddenly appeared on the computer screen. The man in front of the computer removed his headset and tossed it onto the desk. He leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, fumbled for a pack of cigarettes, lit it, and took a deep drag.

"Huff!" He exhaled a large cloud of smoke, making a sound similar to a groan. "It's true that a cigarette after the fact is better than a living god! Haha!"

He was seen casually clicking the mouse with a cigarette in his mouth, and a rich Emperor Blood Killer with a full set of sky epic suit at level 85 appeared on the screen. His ID: Not convinced, all buried. He was Qiu Haisheng, known as the No. 1 Berserker in the country.

In a blink of an eye, his cigarette was finished. He casually flicked the cigarette butt into the ashtray, lit another one, and returned his gaze to the screen again.

"I've had enough of Berserker. I heard that Asura will be strengthened in the next version? Put this second-tier profession directly into the first-tier? Play Asura for a while?"

Qiu Haisheng said while blowing smoke rings casually, then he directly opened the system interface and clicked OK on the character selection. He returned to the character selection interface, only to see a poor character standing next to a big red dog shining with golden light.

Class: Asura, Level 25, ID: Barn. Qiu

Haisheng's eyebrows twitched when he saw this ID. It was a name he'd picked up by Dagger Barn, one of the four weapon masters he'd seen in the backstory of the Arad continent. He clicked OK and entered the interface. "Welcome back," Celia's sweet voice continued.

Qiu Haisheng thought, and he really should have said "welcome back." This account was basically the same one he'd built before "Bufu Quanzang."

Berserkers were now considered legendary, and this Asura was only level 25, lacking even a single piece of ordinary clothing. He was truly shabby.

"Let's get the Returning Gift Pack first," Qiu Haisheng thought. He opened his inbox. Below the Returning Gift Pack, there was another email. It didn't look like it came from a player. Even Qiu Haisheng, a seasoned player, had never seen one before. What kind of event was this?

Why hadn't he seen it? Qiu Haisheng, perplexed, clicked on the email. But after clicking, the cursor suddenly disappeared, and a progress bar appeared above the email, reading "Character Binding..."

Qiu Haisheng had a bad feeling. Was this an account hack? Qiu Haisheng thought to himself, he'd already spent at least 20,000 to 30,000 RMB on this account. If it were stolen, wouldn't that be a huge loss? Terrified, he kept shaking the mouse, but it wouldn't appear.

Angrily, he threw it down and cursed, "Why doesn't the mouse work at this very moment? What bad luck!" It was obvious that Qiu Haisheng didn't like the feeling of losing control, and now he was furious.

Watching the progress bar slowly move forward, Qiu Haisheng panicked. He didn't know why the mouse had suddenly disappeared, nor did he know where this mysterious email had come from. He waited until the progress bar reached its end.

"Ding!" The progress bar finished, and the text above changed to "Character and role binding successful." Just as Qiu Haisheng was determined to see what was going on, the progress bar turned red and the text changed to "Traveling..."

Qiu Haisheng jumped up. "Holy crap! Traveling through time?" The uneasy feeling was becoming more and more obvious.

He was backing away, but at that moment, a bolt of electricity jumped out from the computer and instantly penetrated Qiu Haisheng's eyebrows.

Qiu Haisheng lay dead on the ground. To be more precise, he had traveled through time... The next morning's H City Daily headline:

Local otaku dies suddenly while playing computer games at home, urging everyone to avoid excessive gaming and cherish their health.

Waves washed over the shore, the sky was clear, and a few seabirds occasionally flew by and chirped.

What a beautiful scene, if there wasn't a shriveled "corpse" on the beach. The sunlight shone on his body, and the corpse came back to life, "Well, so warm!" He scratched his chest lazily with his hands and opened his eyes...

"Hey, I can clearly feel the sunlight, why is it dark? Where is the sunlight?" Just when Qiu Haisheng was confused, he suddenly remembered what happened before...

"Damn, where is this? Am I not at home? What's with the sound of waves and seabirds? Have seabirds evolved to the point where they can move freely even in the dark?" Suddenly, he thought of something else.

He thought of the three words he saw before he passed out, "Traveling through..." He was stunned for a full minute, "I! Grass! Grass! Grass! Grass! Grass! Grass! Grass! Grass! Grass! Grass! Grass! Grass! Grass! Grass!" There were bursts of pig-killing howling sounds from the island...

Qiu Haisheng shouted for a long time. It must be said that this was indeed a good way to vent. He gradually accepted the fact that he had traveled through time and space, and also accepted the tragic situation of being a blind man.

But when he thought about never seeing the beautiful bodies of all kinds of beauties again, he couldn't help but burst into tears. Qiu Haisheng deeply regretted not linking himself to his Berserker account.

He switched to his Shura account and began mumbling again. Actually, his madness made no sense. At least he still had good eyesight after joining Berserker. Although he had conjunctivitis, it was much better than cataracts…

He touched his aching left hand with his right hand, and felt the veins crisscrossing the muscles and the long, sharp nails. It reminded him of the left arm of the Ghost Swordsman cursed by Kazan. Feeling the waves of power coming from his left hand, he clenched his fists and stood up.

"Since I'm here, I might as well make the best of it. Even if I go back, I'll continue to be my miserable otaku. Why not use the Ghost Swordsman's power to dominate the world here?" "Hahahaha!"

Just as Qiu Haisheng was about to get carried away, or perhaps he had already gotten carried away, the cruel reality hit him again.

"Where the hell is this!" He was now blind, unable to even tell where he was. But it was rare for him to have thought of this question until now…
