Chapter 3 - Episode 3

The Brothers Galden and Felda

Episode 3

Galden and Felda were moments away from death at the hands of the monster—

when suddenly, a man appeared before them, dressed like a jester, his face painted to match.

"I am your savior!" he declared.

The monster turned toward him, sensing a new threat. The jester stood confidently, ready to fight.

"You ugly beast," he said, grinning. "Get ready! I'll show you a kind of magic even dreams haven't seen."

Those words provoked the monster, and it charged at the strange man.

But the jester suddenly leaped high into the air and shouted:

"Spell of…"

He landed beside Galden, grabbed him, then jumped again to grab Felda.

"…Escape!"

(Escape Spell)

With a wild, cartoonish speed, he bolted away, yelling:

"Catch me if you can!"

He laughed like a madman as they sped through the trees. The monster, stunned by their sudden disappearance, couldn't keep up.

The jester kept running at breakneck speed, constantly glancing behind to check on the monster—until Galden shouted:

"Watch out! There's a wall ahead!"

The man turned just in time to crash into it. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt. He'd whispered a Damage Reduction Spell before impact, lessening the blow.

After dusting himself off, the jester shouted joyfully:

"Told you I'm your savior! I saved you! No need to thank me!"

But Galden snapped:

"You didn't save us—you just helped us run away! And who even are you?!?"

The man scowled.

"Is this how you repay your savior? I'm Lafrito Fondaz, a professional sorcerer."

Galden laughed.

"Professional? You're only professional at running away!"

Lafrito chuckled, then looked at them seriously:

"You two are very weak. That monster? Even beginner mages could've handled it."

Suddenly, the same monster reappeared. Its sense of smell had led it straight to them.

Galden and Felda were terrified.

But this time, Lafrito looked at the beast with calm disdain and said:

"Head-Cutting Spell."

He flicked a tiny paper talisman toward the creature's neck—

And its head fell off instantly. The beast was dead.

Galden and Felda stared in disbelief. Lafrito turned to them and said:

"I didn't fight the monster earlier because I wanted to spare your pride."

(He pointed at Galden.)

He continued:

"That spell you tried to use earlier was powerful, but you failed. Out of humility, I let it be and didn't finish the monster back then."

Then he asked:

"You're clearly not trained mages… so who are you? And what are you doing here?"

Galden told him everything—the family secret, what happened with their parents, how they escaped, and how they ended up here.

Lafrito listened silently. When Galden finished, he finally spoke:

"The Malina family? Hmm… never heard of them. But the sorcerer Williams—I've heard the name. Dangerous criminal. Exiled from Wonderland. Even the Grand Wizard couldn't stop him. They say a certain family sealed his powers in a book… and both he and the book were cast into the mortal world."

Galden: "That's our family! And our parents were killed! Please… you're powerful—teach us magic! We beg you!"

Lafrito: "The problem isn't me teaching you. It's that you entered our world illegally. You have no registered magical identity. If the Sorcerers' Guild finds out, they'll imprison you in the Spirit Cells."

He sighed.

"I can't train you without proper paperwork. I'm sorry."

Galden and Felda were crushed—hopeless.

But then Lafrito, softening with sympathy, asked:

"What are your names?"

Galden: "I'm Galden. My brother is Felda."

Lafrito: "There is one way to become recognized sorcerers in Wonderland… though it's a little unorthodox."

Galden: "What is it?"

Lafrito: "I have a student in the city. He has connections. Ask him to forge two magical IDs for you—quietly. Just stay under the council's radar."

Galden thanked him. Lafrito continued:

"I'll guide you to the Sorcerer's City. Look for him in one of the cafés. His name is Thomas Ferza."

Meanwhile, Thomas Ferza sat sipping his coffee in one of the city cafés. He was the son of a prominent magical entrepreneur. Dressed in formal wear with a classy hat, he always carried a cane—for flair, not support.

Lafrito led Galden and Felda to the city gates and handed them each a forged identity card.

Felda: "Won't they find out?"

Lafrito: "Don't worry. I added some deception magic. You'll be safe… for now."

Galden: "Aren't you coming with us?"

Lafrito laughed.

"I was just passing by when I found you two. I've got other business to handle. Important business."

As he turned to leave, he added:

"Look for him in the cafés—just like I told you. Don't talk to anyone else. Tell him I sent you. He'll help."

And with that, a new adventure begins for Galden and Felda—

inside the mysterious, dangerous City of Sorcerers…
